Kevin Nash pulled no punches following his latest WWE appearance, blasting the company for a glaring lack of catering at the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony in Las Vegas. Nash, who was in town to induct Dennis Rodman, claimed the day became an endurance test with virtually no sustenance provided for the legends and stars backstage.

Triple H praised the main event of WrestleMania 42 Sunday, describing the match between Roman Reigns and CM Punk as one of the greatest he has ever seen.
Reigns defeated Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, ending a two-year title drought in a physically demanding contest that closed the show in front of more than 55,000 fans.
Speaking on the SportsCenter Night Two post-show, Triple H highlighted the intensity and emotion both competitors brought to the ring.
“Just epic. You can see the passion and the pride of two guys that absolutely, to the very core of their soul, believe that they are the best in the world, and they’re out there to prove it to each other. They’re out there to prove it to the 55,000 plus fans that were here tonight. Everything about them screamed, ‘I have to show I am the best’, and you see it all the way down to the end, knock down, drag out, fight, that just someone won’t give. You finally get to the end of it, no one really loses. But Roman Reigns comes out the winner. Roman Reigns, the new World Heavyweight Champion, to me, one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen, doesn’t get bigger.”
The match featured sustained physical exchanges and multiple near falls, with both men pushing through visible exhaustion. Reigns ultimately secured the victory after delivering a decisive spear to close the bout.
Triple H’s comments add to the strong reaction surrounding the match, which has already been widely discussed following WrestleMania 42. His endorsement positions the bout among the top matches in recent WWE history.
With Reigns now holding the World Heavyweight Championship, the result marks a major shift at the top of WWE’s main event scene coming out of WrestleMania.
Triple H Calls Reigns vs CM Punk One of the Greatest Matches Ever at WrestleMania 42
Former NFL punter and WWE commentator Pat McAfee didn’t receive a warm welcome upon his recent return to WWE, and fans will be pleased to hear that he has called time on his pro wrestling career.
McAfee, who was revealed as Randy Orton’s mystery caller, attacked Cody Rhodes after he made a surprise appearance on “WWE SmackDown,” siding with Orton in his feud with Rhodes. A few weeks before the clash between Rhodes and Orton at WrestleMania 42, McAfee promised that he would walk away from the business if Orton loses to Rhodes — and it seems that he has now kept his word. McAfee’s wife, Samantha McAfee, posted a photo of her husband relaxing on a couch and said in the caption that McAfee is out of WWE for good.
“First morning since 2017 babe is completely out of the wrestling business, thanks @jellyroll615,” she said on her Instagram story.
McAfee, of course, was taken out by Grammy-winning musician Jelly Roll on night 1 of WrestleMania 42, who landed an elbow drop on McAfee after Rhodes had placed him on the announcers’ desk. The College GameDay panelist was taken out by Rhodes even before the match began, and Jelly Roll then came to the aid of the WWE Champion, removing McAfee from the equation. However, McAfee eventually returned during the match, this time as a guest referee, but was accidentally taken out by Orton with an RKO.
Despite the outside interference, Rhodes successfully retained the Undisputed WWE Championship, though reports claim it was originally supposed to go to Orton at “The Show of Shows” before plans changed a few weeks ago. The match between Orton and Rhodes left both stars bloodied, with the latter reportedly suffering an orbital injury, which forced him to pull out of appearances at events on Night 2 of WrestleMania 42.
Pat McAfee’s role in the Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes storyline heading into WrestleMania 42 has been much criticized, but the original plan was for another WWE star to take on that role.
“PWInsider” has reported that “WWE SmackDown” star Aleister Black was to goad Orton into bringing back the “Apex Predator” character, with the pitch apparently made in January. The report claims that Black was to “torment” Orton to bring out the vicious side of Orton, and that the two were to have a match over WrestleMania weekend.
The initial plan was for Orton to lose against Black after he would be reluctant to use the punt kick on Black. Eventually, “The Viper” would use the kick on Rhodes at ‘Mania. The report added that they are unsure how far down the line the idea went with WWE’s creative team, although it noted that some aspects of it were used by McAfee upon his return.
Orton did hit Rhodes with a punt kick at WrestleMania 42, but it happened after “The American Nightmare” defeated his longtime friend and mentor, with Orton laying waste to Rhodes as he celebrated retaining the world title. Black, meanwhile, was a part of WrestleMania weekend, but his role was limited to taking part in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which was won by Royce Keys.
John Cena made the undoubtedly difficult call to hang up his wrestling boots last year, going on a length retirement run in WWE. Now that it’s all said and done, Triple H is adamant that what fans witnessed at Saturday Night’s Main Event back in December was the last time they would see Cena wrestle ever again.
“I think for John to have the moment where he gracefully bowed out in the way and that he wanted to was phenomenal for him. But he loves this,” the chief content officer told “WWE SmackDown” commentator Joe Tessitore in this sit down interview. “He still has this incredible passion for it. … I do believe in his commitment that he will never wrestle [or] perform in-ring again.”
Missed by many after his “Last Time Is Now” match, Cena would return to WWE programming four months later and host this year’s WrestleMania 42 two-night event. Before he left his sneakers in the ring, Cena not only got to make history as the first-ever 17-time world champion, but he finally became part of the WWE Grand Slam club by winning the Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio.
