Shawn Michaels has made it clear that he wants WWE NXT to have its own identity rather than becoming a smaller version of Raw or SmackDown.
The WWE Hall of Famer has been one of the driving forces behind NXT in recent years, helping develop the next generation of WWE

WWE has a busy week of television ahead, with both Raw and SmackDown already taped following Friday night’s double-header at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Raw will air on Monday, August 31, while the SmackDown episode recorded in Cleveland will be broadcast on Friday, September 4.
