Hulk Hogan Vs. Andre The Giant At WrestleMania III Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame

The match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant at WWE WrestleMania III, and more specifically the “immortal moment” in which Hogan bodyslammed Andre, has officially been enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame. Following a video package, the match was ushered into the Class of 2006 by “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart, as well as Andre’s daughter Robin Roussimoff and Hogan’s son Nick.

Hart was the only one of the three who spoke, thanking both Andre and Hogan (both deceased) as well as manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, who was also part of the match. Hart also told a story about other acts frequenting the Silverdome at the time, joking to Hogan that WrestleMania could probably outdraw the Pope, but probably not the Rolling Stones. He then unveiled a statue of Hogan slamming Andre, which was admired by Roussimoff and Nick Hogan.

Hogan passed away in July of last year after suffering cardiac arrest. Andre died in 1993, just a few years after WrestleMania III.

Dennis Rodman Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame By Fellow NWO Members Kevin Nash, X-Pac

Dennis Rodman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by NWO stablemates Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman, coming out to the Wolfpac theme.

Nash said that Rodman is not new to being inducted, having previously been inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. He played up the ‘Bad Boy’ legend of Rodman, skipping practice for the NBA Play-Offs to go and smoke cigars on WCW Nitro, winning the game, and then being fined much less than he made for the WCW appearance.

Rodman then made his entrance to the OG NWO theme. He said he had a speech prepared for him by Stephanie McMahon, but continued to amble on about WWE being the greatest sports organization in the world off-the-dome.

He said that there have been a lot of guys physically damaged by the business, but claimed that WWE as an organization has never turned its back on anyone.

He thanked Jimmy Hart, Eric Bischoff, and then started getting choked up while talking about his neighbor. He composed himself and thanked Nick Hogan, saying he was going through some hard times, and his father, Hulk Hogan, always stood by him and never gave up on him. He said he’s proud of Nick.

Rodman then did his best impression of the “Hulkster” while praising the statue for him at WWE World, paying one last tribute to the late WWE Hall of Famer before concluding his own Hall of Fame induction speech.

Haku, Arn Anderson & Warlord Induct Demolition Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

At long last, Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow of Demolition are WWE Hall of Famers. The tag team was inducted as part of the class of 2026 by three of their peers — fellow tag team specialists Arn Anderson, Haku, and Warlord.

Warlord started the speech-giving, saying it was honor to induct one of the greatest tag teams of all time. He mentioned Demolition’s legendary 478 days as tag team champions — a record ultimately broken by the New Day and later the Usos — and had the phrase “WWF” repeatedly censored. Haku mentioned wrestling Demolition alongside Andre the Giant at WrestleMania VI and thanked them for taking care of him. “It was an honor to be in the match with you guys,” he said. Finally, Arn Anderson said Demolition “broke the standard” and “beat the crap out of everybody, and I mean everybody.”

When Demolition themselves took the stage, Darsow spoke first, recalling his first meeting with Vince McMahon about the Demolition characters. He thanked Eadie, saying “All I did was follow his lead in the matches, and they were phenomenal.” He also thanked Brian Adams, aka Crush, who was also part of the group.

Eadie said he never thought this day would come true and thanked various luminaries like Andre the Giant and Antonio Inoki, as well as Vince McMahon and his father, Vince Sr.. Both Darsow and Eadie thanked their family members, as well as manager Mr. Fuji, and their various opponents throughout their careers, as well as the fans. Darstow suggested they do a run-in at WrestleMania; Eadie closed things out by saying that he’s been asked how it would feel to be a WWE Hall of Famer. He quoted the film “Dumb and Dumber” by saying “I like it, I like it a lot.”

Stephanie McMahon Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame By Her Daughters & Linda McMahon

Stephanie said she had been told she may not be able to conceive naturally, but through the grace of God and modern science she has three beautiful daughters. She expanded on her daughter’s achievements in scholar sports before getting onto her mother.

“Truthfully, my mom should be the one going into the Hall of Fame tonight,” she continued. “If it weren’t for her, and my father, Vince McMahon, none of us would be here tonight. Especially not me.”

A “Thank You Vince” chant broke out. And Stephanie then thanked her brother, Shane.

“No matter what has happened or what will happen in this life, I will always love you all,” she said about Shane and his family.

She talked about her upbringing in wrestling, how she just accepted that Pat Patterson was gay, had her first dinner date with Andre the Giant at 14 years old – with him remarking that people probably thought he was a “dirty man” – and the Iron Sheikh bought her drinks, “… one time.”

She then introduced a package for the Connor’s Cure pediatric cancer charity, as well as Jimmy Spagnolo, a pediatric cancer survivor.

She thanked her in-laws for welcoming her into her extended family. She then thanked Nick Khan and his family, Ari Emanuel, Mark Shapiro, and “most importantly,” her husband.

“There was something irresistible about him,” she said, saying that he was “forbidden” because he was talent, though that only added to intrigue.

“Paul, you are my soulmate, you are my hero, and you are the man of dreams. And for the record, you flirted with me first.”

Stephanie said a few years ago, she felt what she had with WWE had been lost. She then cut a promo in-character to accept her induction, calling herself a “Boss B***” and name-checking Sami Zayn as a B+ player. And with that, Stephanie McMahon was officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

You can watch the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in the embedded video below. This year’s show takes place at Dolby Live at Park MGM immediately following WWE SmackDown. The annual event will honor a mix of modern stars, legends, and historic moments as part of WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas.

Stephanie McMahon headlines this year’s class. McMahon served in several major roles in WWE, including Chief Brand Officer, Chairwoman, and Co-CEO. She also had an on-screen presence for more than two decades and is a former WWF Women’s Champion. McMahon previously admitted she was unsure if she deserved the honor when she first received the news.

AJ Styles joins the class following his retirement at the 2026 Royal Rumble, ending a 28-year career. Known as “The Phenomenal One,” Styles is a two-time WWE Champion, as well as a Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion. His induction was personally announced by The Undertaker during the February 23 episode of WWE RAW.

The tag team Demolition will also be honored. Ax and Smash were three-time WWE Tag Team Champions and held the titles for a combined 698 days between 1988 and 1990. Their 478-day reign remains one of the longest in company history.

In the celebrity wing, Dennis Rodman will be inducted. Rodman became a major crossover figure during the Monday Night War after aligning with Hulk Hogan in WCW. His debut at Bash at the Beach 1997 marked the start of several appearances alongside the nWo.

The Legacy wing will include the late Sid Eudy, also known as Sycho Sid and Sid Vicious. A two-time WWF Champion and two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, he passed away in August 2024. Bad News Brown will also be inducted. Coage was an Olympic bronze medalist in judo in 1976 and later made an impact in WWE during the late 1980s, including winning the battle royal at WrestleMania IV.

This year’s Immortal Moment Award goes to Hulk Hogan vs. André the Giant from WrestleMania III. The match is remembered for the iconic bodyslam in front of a reported 93,173 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome. With this recognition, Hogan becomes a three-time Hall of Famer, while André is honored for a second time.

The ceremony will spotlight a wide range of contributions to wrestling history, from in-ring achievements to cultural impact, making it a key part of WrestleMania weekend.
