Yoel Romero will be fighting his third bare knuckle boxing bout against fellow former UFC star Hector Lombard.
A silver medalist wrestler in the 2000 Olympics, Romero has gone on to become a human highlight reel of a fighter even if his resume doesn’t read as impressive on the surface. Romero went on a tear in UFC to notch up several wins in a row before suffering a skid in the latter half of his run to finish 9-4, and 16-7 in total with his last MMA fight coming in 2024.
He made his bare knuckle boxing debut last year for BKFC, beating Theo Doukas in a second-round knockout, and then recently fought in IBA Bareknuckle Boxing, losing a controversial Unanimous Decision to Vagab Vagabov on March 28.
And now he will be making it a third fight with a third different promotion, with Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred FC announcing his bout with Lombard on May 1.

Lombard went 3-8 in UFC, last fighting in MMA with Eagle FC in 2022 to a no-contest, and otherwise holding a total record of 34-10-1. But has since gone on to make inroads in bare knuckle boxing, notching a 5-1 record and winning the BKFC Championship in 2021. He has not fought since 2023 and will be making his return against Romero.
– Dion Lennox vs. Myles Borne — North American Championship – Joe Hendry vs. Keanu Carver – Tatum Paxley vs. Blake Monroe — Casket Match for the Women’s North American Championship
The show goes to a commercial break. NXT Revenge, Week One Results will continue shortly.
Backstage — Dark State Tension
Dion Lennox corners Saquon Shugars, demanding to know what’s going on. Saquon tells him it’s about the group — about keeping Dark State strong. He says they need to focus on Dion’s title match because of the plan they agreed on.
Dion fires back, saying that to get back to the top, they need gold. This is their only shot, so why risk it? The tension simmers as both men stare each other down, neither willing to budge.
NXT Women’s Championship — Jacy Jayne vs. Lola Vice
They lock up and break cleanly. Lola shoots in with a takedown. They tie up again, and Jacy backs Lola into the ropes. Jacy chops her. Lola chops back. They trade shots until Lola traps the arm and fires rapid‑fire chops, then snaps Jacy over with a slingshot armdrag.
Jacy answers with a wrist‑lock takedown and a leg sweep for a near fall. Lola returns the favor with a leg sweep of her own and gets a near fall. Lola rolls Jacy into a crucifix for another near fall. Jacy pops up and hits a shoulder tackle. She goes for an armdrag, but Lola counters into an armbar. Lola follows with a sharp kick.
Lola traps Jacy in the ropes and unloads with kicks. She lands a back heel kick that knocks Jacy to the floor. Lola steps onto the apron and hits a seated splash — but she lands on Lainey Reid instead. Jacy takes advantage and boots Lola in the face.
Jacy sends Lola into the apron, then rolls her back inside. She hits a running neckbreaker for a near fall. Jacy repeatedly drives Lola into the turnbuckles, then unloads with punches and kicks in the corner. She chokes Lola against the bottom rope. Jacy snap‑mares her over, kicks her in the back, hits a back heel kick, then drops a back senton for another near fall. She clamps down on the neck.
Lola fights out with punches and forearms, then knees to the body. Jacy cuts her off with a flying back elbow. She drives elbows into Lola’s clavicle and applies a side headlock. Lola backs Jacy into the corner to break the hold, but Jacy sends her right back into the turnbuckles. Lola fires a back elbow.
Lola avoids a bicycle kick and both women collide with clotheslines. They rise and trade chops and kicks. Jacy strings together a series of kicks but misses an enzuigiri. Lola hits a German suplex, then kicks Jacy in the ribs and lands back heel kicks. She fires off Naomi‑style kicks, then hits the hip‑shaking running hip attack. She hits a second running hip. Lola follows with a belly‑to‑back suplex and a seated splash for a near fall.
Jacy counters with a rollup for a near fall. Lola answers with a spinning back heel kick that sends Jacy to the floor. Lola follows, throws Jacy back in, but Reid steps in to jaw at her. As Lola slides in, Jacy blasts her with a running knee for a near fall.
Jacy hits a running hip attack in the corner, then puts Lola on the turnbuckles and punches her. Lola traps her in a hanging triangle in the ropes. Reid jumps onto the apron to distract the referee. Fallon appears and hits a Tiger Feint Kick around the ring post. Jacy recovers and nails a rolling elbow for a near fall.
Jacy charges for a running boot but misses. Lola snatches her into a guillotine with body scissors. Jacy powers to her feet, but Lola hangs on, using the ropes to swing them back to center. Jacy rolls through and nearly steals it. Lola counters with an O’Connor Roll for another near fall.
Reid punches Lola from the apron. Jacy swings for another rolling elbow — misses — and Lola cracks her with a backfist, dropping her flat and holding her down for the three‑count.
Winner: Lola Vice (retains the NXT Women’s Championship)
After the match, Kali Armstrong storms down the ramp and blasts both Fallon and Lainey with a flying shoulder tackle, wiping them out on the floor. She climbs onto the apron, staring down the champion.
On the opposite side of the ring, Kendal Grey steps up, locking eyes with Kali as the tension spikes.
Up above, Izzi Dame appears on the HBALCONY, arms crossed, watching the entire scene unfold with cold detachment.
Zaria makes her way to the ring next, but before she can even reach the steps, Sol Ruca sprints in and attacks her from behind. The two crash into the barricade as officials rush in, unable to contain the eruption of contenders circling the title scene.
The chaos swirls around the arena as the screen fades.
We go to credits.

NXT Revenge, Week One Preview
Tony D’Angelo puts the NXT Championship on the line tonight for the first time since capturing the title at Stand & Deliver on April 4, where he dethroned Joe Hendry in a chaotic Fatal Four‑Way that also featured Ethan Page and Ricky Saints. Although Hendry and Saints made it clear last Tuesday that their pursuit of the championship is far from over, all four men were forced to coexist in an Eight‑Man Tag Team Match against DarkState. D’Angelo appeared to have the match sealed for his team, but Ethan Page tagged himself in at the last second, hit Saquon Shugars with the Twisted Grin, and stole the pinfall. Tonight, Page gets the title shot he’s been angling for — and D’Angelo gets his chance at payback.
Lola Vice will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against former champion and Fatal Influence standout Jacy Jayne. Vice won the title at Stand & Deliver by defeating Jayne and Kendal Grey in a Triple Threat Match, and Jayne has been seething ever since. Last Tuesday, Jayne confronted Vice in a heated verbal exchange alongside Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, making it clear she intends to reclaim the championship she lost. Tonight, the rematch arrives.
The issues between Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan continue to escalate. Parker scored a win over Jordan on the March 31 episode of NXT, adding more fuel to their growing rivalry. Jordan now looks to even the score as the two meet once again, hoping to finally put their conflict to rest.
Additionally, Joe Hendry will perform a live concert for the NXT Universe — and given Hendry’s history, it’s safe to assume the champion‑turned‑musician has something pointed, theatrical, and unforgettable planned.
Tom Aspinall’s teammate and KSW Heavyweight Champion, Phil De Fries, said that Alex Pereira had turned down an opportunity to face the UFC Heavyweight Champion previously.
De Fries is preparing for his own return to defend his title for the 14th time on April 18. And speaking to “Bloody Elbow” in the press run leading up to that, De Fries was asked about the prospect of seeing his teammate face Pereira – who will be facing Ciryl Gane for the Interim Heavyweight title at Freedom 250.
“I’m pretty sure, you know, Pereira’s been offered Tom and said no. I’m fairly sure that’s a fact,” he said of the potential match-up. “You never know, Pereira might take the belt and run away but I think Pereira sees Gane as an easier fight than Tom.”
Pereira had originally intended to move up to heavyweight last year, but losing his Light Heavyweight Championship to Magomed Ankalaev saw him remain to reclaim his title. Aspinall has been sidelined since October last year after sustaining an eye injury in his title defense against Gane.
“Obviously I think Tom’s better than Gane but I’m not saying that because someone’s better, I think it’s just stylistically people match up better. But, that’d be great for Tom,” De Fries added.
He further predicted that Pereira will beat Gane on June 14.
Aspinall was promoted to Undisputed Heavyweight Champion last year after Jon Jones retired, having been adamant he was not going to fight Aspinall and instead wanted to face Pereira. That fight has yet to manifest and for the time being at least, Jones is retired. Aspinall should be booked against whomever holds the Interim Heavyweight title when he returns to the Octagon.
Lola Vice defeated Jacy Jayne to complete the first defense of her Women’s Championship reign during “WWE NXT Revenge.”
Vice became champion by pinning Jayne in a triple threat also involving Kendal Grey at Stand & Deliver, but a rematch was set for Tuesday during last week’s follow-up episode of “WWE NXT.” Jayne looked for several moments throughout the bout like she was going to become a three-time Women’s Champion especially after interference from Fallon Henley, driving her into the ring post before dumping her back in the ring to be covered.
Vice kicked out, however, and then Lainey Reid got involved and looked to have created the opening for Jayne to hit Rolling Encore. Vice caught her instead with a spinning backfist and fell into the winning cover.
Rather than celebrate her title win, Vice was the subject to a mass staredown to close the show. First, Kali Armstrong took out all three members of Fatal Influence and climbed upon the apron. Then Grey appeared on the other side of the ring, Izzi Dame was shown to be watching on from the rafters, and then Zaria made her entrance. She got cut off by Sol Ruca, who she will be facing in a Last Woman Standing match next week, to close the show.
After she pinned Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley in a tag team match last week, and was gifted her own custom Women’s NA title from the Vanity Project backstage, Blake Monroe will once again challenge for the gold, this time, in a casket match.
General Manager Robert Stone told Monroe Tuesday night on “WWE NXT” that Paxley agreed to the match next week for week two of the show’s Revenge special, but she demanded to pick the stipulation. It was revealed later in the night that the women will be fighting for the gold in a casket match.
The pair’s feud began after Paxley successfully defended the gold against Izzi Dame in a cage match back on the March 17 edition of “NXT.” As Paxley walked up the ramp, Monroe revealed herself through a trap door on the stage and “drug Paxley to hell.” She took possession of the title for weeks, until Paxley got it back after she retained over Monroe at Stand & Deliver. Last week, Paxley teamed with Shiloh Hill against Monroe and Jackson Drake, and Monroe pinned her for the win.
