WWE NXT NA Women’s Title Match Gets Gravely Serious Stipulation

After she pinned Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley in a tag team match last week, and was gifted her own custom Women’s NA title from the Vanity Project backstage, Blake Monroe will once again challenge for the gold, this time, in a casket match.

General Manager Robert Stone told Monroe Tuesday night on “WWE NXT” that Paxley agreed to the match next week for week two of the show’s Revenge special, but she demanded to pick the stipulation. It was revealed later in the night that the women will be fighting for the gold in a casket match.

The pair’s feud began after Paxley successfully defended the gold against Izzi Dame in a cage match back on the March 17 edition of “NXT.” As Paxley walked up the ramp, Monroe revealed herself through a trap door on the stage and “drug Paxley to hell.” She took possession of the title for weeks, until Paxley got it back after she retained over Monroe at Stand & Deliver. Last week, Paxley teamed with Shiloh Hill against Monroe and Jackson Drake, and Monroe pinned her for the win.

EK Prosper Advances In WWE Men’s Speed Tournament

EK Prosper, formerly known as Eli Knight, defeated Dorian Van Dux in the first round of the WWE Speed Championship Tournament on “WWE NXT Revenge.”

The bout started as it meant to go on for the three-minute span, fast-paced and high-flying with both competitors looking to one-up each other. That fed into the closing stretch too, with Van Dux noticing the time left on the clock and dialing up the momentum. He sought for a Shooting Star Press but Prosper managed to avoid it.

Prosper went on to go one better for the last time in the match, hitting an immense moonsault and making the cover to get the winning pinfall with just seven seconds to go.

The ongoing tournament is to determine a new WWE Men’s Speed Champion after Elio LeFleur was forced to vacate the title due to injury. Prosper was a part of the triple threat in February that saw LeFleur dethrone Jasper Troy for the title originally, and promised to win the title for his friend before Van Dux staked his claim.

Tony D’Angelo Retains WWE NXT Title In Hard-Fought Defense

NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo was successful in his first title defense against Ethan Page on “WWE NXT: Revenge” on Tuesday, and the pair wrestled a hard-fought battle. After Page stole a pin from the champion on last week’s “NXT” in a six-man tag against DarkState, D’Angelo demanded he face Page.

Page made up with frenemy Ricky Saints in a backstage segment before the match, and he told Saints he’d give him the first opportunity if he won the title. Saints appeared under the ring at one point in an attempt to help Page, but was dragged back underneath. It was revealed to be Shiloh Hill who was also under the ring, and he tied Saint’s feet together and drug him back up the ramp.

D’Angelo took out Page with a back body drop off the distraction, but the match quickly turned back into a back-and-forth battle. D’Angelo rocked Page with suplexes, then a spear, but it wasn’t enough to put him away. Page also kicked out of the Forget About It. He got a thumb in D’Angelo’s eye and tried to put him away with a powerslam off the second rope, then with a splash.

An exasperated Page went outside and grabbed the title, and he and the referee played tug of war with the belt. Page hit the Ego’s Edge to D’Angelo, who landed on the title, but he kicked out. Page looked for the Twisted Grin on the commentary desk, but it was D’Angelo to send him face-first into the ring barricade instead. D’Angelo speared the challenge on the commentary desk, then got him back in the ring and hit the Dead to Rights for the victory.

WWE’s Jade Cargill Addresses Complications With Her Catchphrase

To quote pop culture icon RuPaul, Jade Cargill has the, ” uniqueness, nerve, and talent.” But outside of her athleticism in the ring, she has stellar charisma, specifically, with her catchphrase. Despite working under Triple H, the idea of loosening the reins of using curse words on live television programming remains a gray area. The “WWE SmackDown” star describes the frustration that comes with being, “That B***h.”

“So, I had some glasses that said ‘That B***h,’ I could not wear those glasses. I want to do a shirt that said, ‘That B***h,’ couldn’t do it. I can say it, but I can’t have it on any type of merchandise. I can’t do anything. And I only get a certain amount that I can say,” the current WWE Women’s Champion said on “The Joe Budden Podcast.”

Aside from curbing her potty mouth (which she mentioned was a challenge for her later in the interview), it’ll be hard for her not to use foul words during her upcoming match against “The Eradicator” Rhea Ripley on Sunday at Night Two of WrestleMania 42. Both women have traded several verbal low blows in person and online, leading up to their colossal collision. For now, Cargill is riding high, as she emerged victorious against Ripley’s tag team partner and dear friend, IYO SKY, in the main event of this past Friday’s “WWE SmackDown.”
