WWE Announces New International Broadcast Deal With Netflix

Since the announcement that WWE would begin a broadcast partnership with Netflix at the start of 2025, the promotion has only grown closer with the streaming giant. Earlier this year, Netflix and WWE expanded the availability of the PLE library, with a large selection of past events available in the United States.

Now, according to a new press release, Netflix is set to expand PLE access in Germany beginning next month, complete with German commentary to boot. Calvin Knie and Tim Haber will be on the German commentary team live for every PLE available on Netflix going forward, kicking off with the biggest event in WWE: WrestleMania. Additionally, those with Netflix subscriptions in Austria will also have access to the live PLEs with German commentary.

In January of this year, Netflix released programming statistics detailing WWE’s performance from July to December 2025, showing the overall views the promotion brought over that span. In terms of PLEs streamed, WrestlePalooza topped the charts at 1.9 million views, while Survivor Series: WarGames followed closely at 1.8 million views, and SummerSlam following in third at 1.6 million viewers across both nights. Right at the bottom, however, Evolution was listed as the least watched PLE.

Based on the report, “WWE Raw” has been performing well on Netflix, with the most watched episode naturally being John Cena’s final bout on the show on November 17. From July to August, “Raw” surpassed the 3 million viewer mark per week, before eventually falling. Of course, the highest rated episode was the debut episode on January 6th 2025, with 7.1 million viewers. In light of these numbers, it’s no surprise that WWE and Netflix continue to expand on the promotion’s streaming availability.

Former UFC Fighter Francis Ngannou Revives Jon Jones Fight Hopes

Francis Ngannou has revived talks of a would-be dream fight against Jon Jones in light of the two-weight champion’s falling out with UFC.

Jones retired and vacated the Heavyweight Championship in 2025, thus seeing Tom Aspinall, the Interim Champion, promoted to Heavyweight Champion. But for a while prior to that, Aspinall had been dismissed by Jones as an opponent in favor of a bout against Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira. Jones has since said he was in negotiations with the UFC to return on the White House card, which will feature Pereira fighting Jones’ second-to-last opponent Ciryl Gane for the Interim title — but no Jones, as Dana White would continue to dismiss any talks with Jones about the event as “bulls***.” That prompted Jones to once more reiterate talks were underway, saying the UFC had “lowballed” him in negotiations.

Ngannou responded to Jones following the address, having also left UFC as Heavyweight Champion following a pay dispute.

“Watching this story unfold yesterday was very interesting. I have lots to say, but for now, Jonny boy, if you manage to get your freedom, then let me know,” he wrote. “You deserve that $30M+ after everything you’ve done for the sport, and they should be rolling out the RED CARPET for you.”

Many would and have said that Jones waited for Ngannou to leave before making his move on the Heavyweight title, having spent much of his career at Light Heavyweight as a two-time champion. There was always hope from fans and talks of a fight between them, but it never materialized.

Ngannou recently left PFL after fighting one bout and becoming PFL Super Fights Heavyweight Champion, but will be fighting Philipe Lins on the Ronda Rousey-Gina Carano MVP card in May.

WWE’s Logan Paul Claims He’ll Start To Focus On Selling During Matches

Logan Paul’s rapid rise to fame in WWE has impressed many veterans of the industry, who have been awestruck by how he’s taken to pro wrestling after making it big as a YouTuber. As a result, it’s safe to say Paul hasn’t been criticized on his selling, but during an episode of his “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, he claimed it’s something he wants to work on — after revealing that WWE CCO Paul Levesque recently asked him to change his appearance.

“He asked me to grow my hair out. It was a very light suggestion that I took way too seriously,” Paul claimed. “He’s like, ‘Would you ever consider growing your hair out? It creates movement.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I totally understand that.’ You know what I’m going to start focusing on? Selling. There is an art to the sell. I’m not sure much people, even me, place that much focus on it.” (Per: Fightful).

Despite his new focus on selling, Paul has boldly stated in the past that he believes he was born to wrestle. During an interview with “Sports Illustrated,” the former WWE United States Champion looked back at his life and noted how every skillset he’s developed over the years has slowly positioned him to firmly step into the pro wrestling industry, from showmanship to storytelling, to improve and the physicality of the sport.

Eric Bischoff Talks Danhausen’s WWE Elimination Chamber Debut, Chris Jericho Absence

Eric Bischoff has explained why Danhausen received a mediocre reaction on his WWE debut, something he attributes to the uncertainty surrounding Chris Jericho’s career.

The former AEW star debuted at Elimination Chamber and got some boos from the Chicago audience. Bischoff, on his “83 Weeks” podcast, analyzed the reaction, asserting how fans thought that a big name would emerge from the mystery box that WWE had teased for weeks.

“It’s not so much that their idea was bad, but their timing was. If you would have had that mystery, if you would have played it out the same way, if you would have established a box for two, three, four weeks and created the whole mystery around it at a time when there wasn’t a question mark about where Chris Jericho is going to end up. The timing of it led people to want to believe it was going to be Chris Jericho, myself included,” he said. “I was looking for that really, really big surprise. But we got Danhausen, which is really unfortunate because like you, I see the value and I’ve met him a few times at conventions and spoke with him. He’s a very, very nice young man and I too see an opportunity from a merchandising point of view and also from a programming perspective.”

The Hall of Famer noted that a character like Danhausen will drive merch sales, while also offer fans some light-hearted humor. While Danhausen may not have won over the audience as WWE would’ve hoped for, Bischoff feels WWE will eventually rectify the mistake and make him a success.

“Danhausen is a good acquisition for WWE because there’s nobody better on planet earth in merchandising a character than WWE. So, it makes sense business-wise. I think the timing, because of the possibility that existed at that time, I think it put a little dent in the character coming out of the shoot, but they’ll make up for it very quickly,” he added.

Bischoff thinks fans will forget Danhausen’s not-so-memorable debut and put him on the path to success.

Bully Ray Speculates On WWE Story With Usos & Roman Reigns, Possible Rock Involvement

Bully Ray has proposed a possible scenario in which The Rock returns to WWE during Roman Reigns and The Usos’ feud with CM Punk, and what could potentially happen between Reigns and The Usos.

While analyzing this week’s “Raw” and the fallout of the segment involving The Usos and CM Punk on “Busted Open,” Ray wondered if The Rock could be involved in the feud between Reigns and Punk, referencing how he was angry at Cody Rhodes for just mentioning his family.

“Is Rock involved at this at the end of the day in any way, shape or form as a sign of the ultimate unification of the Samoan family against Punk?” asked Ray.

The Rock hasn’t featured in The Bloodline storyline since WrestleMania 40, and there’s been no indication if he will return to WWE anytime soon. Ray also touched upon another aspect of the segment between The Usos and Punk, particularly when the brothers said that they weren’t confronting Punk on behalf of Reigns, but the Anoa’i family. He was confused why they said that and wonders if it will lead to a feud with Reigns and The Usos in the future.

“That line right there, ‘We are not here for Roman.’ That’s where I scratch my head. Because if I’m Roman, I’m going, ‘What do you mean you weren’t there for me?’ And that, if there was dissension with Roman and the Usos moving forward, that’s where it may lie,” he said. “I can see Jimmy and Jey now saying, ‘We didn’t punch CM Punk in the face for you. We did it for us and Uncle Sika.'”

Punk’s actions have led Ray to want to see Reigns beat the living daylights out of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 42, with him even saying he’d like to see “The Original Tribal Chief” punt kick his opponent like Randy Orton.
