Tony Khan: Adam Page Can ‘Right History’ With AEW Revolution World Title Stipulation

Page and MJF went to war at last year’s Revolution, though they didn’t fight in the main event. Page hit a Dead Eye, then an Angel’s Wings, and finally, a Buckshot Lariat to score the victory over his nemesis. The main event saw Adam Copeland challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. Khan said that he always believed that AEW fans would be seeing Page and MJF headline a pay-per-view with their feud, however.

“It is absolutely very fitting that MJF vs. ‘Hangman’ Page is the Texas Death match for the world championship,” Khan said. “‘Hangman’ Page vs. MJF is a rivalry I’ve felt to be showcased at the top of AEW for many years… From the very first [AEW] event, they were both in the position of being in the spotlight as future world championship challengers and potentially future AEW World Champions. Both of them have lived up to all the expectations and become top stars in AEW and now to see them fight in this incredible type of match that has always delivered fantastic results when it comes to excitement and brutality… I believe the match of this magnitude has been in the cards for a very long time.”

The Texas Death match will cap off AEW’s first PPV since Worlds End on December 27. Revolution will see a total of 13 matches, including three on the Zero Hour preshow, and a total of eight championships will be defended.

Former WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle Officially Signs With TNA Wrestling

Former WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle has officially signed with TNA Wrestling after making a few appearances both on and off screen for the company over recent months. TNA posted a video of Michelle signing her contract, alongside TNA President Carlos Silver and Tommy Dreamer, on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.

In the video, Silva said it was great that Michelle was becoming part of the team and would be working behind-the-scenes for TNA. Michelle said that it felt good to be “home with wrestling” and said she had been loyal to Dreamer and the business for 20 years.

“I didn’t know that this could come back,” she said. “So, to give me a platform so I can help build this with you guys and be a small little piece of that and see where I can fit in there on any angle is really a dream come true.”

Michelle said that Dreamer called her to come back and help behind-the-scenes the day after Christmas. At the end of the video, after Michelle had put pen to paper, Dreamer thanked her for “never letting him down.”

TNA did not reveal further details of Michelle’s signing, such as the length of her contract or if she would be making any on-screen appearances in TNA’s Knockouts division. The former Women’s Champion broke into the wrestling business in 2004 when she auditioned for the WWE Diva Search. While she didn’t make the final cut, WWE hired her anyway.

After facing the likes of Trish Stratus, Ashley Massaro, Torrie Wilson and more, she became the first Diva Search contestant to win the WWE Women’s Championship when she defeated Melina at Vengeance in 2006. She wrestled her retirement match outside of WWE in 2017 in a victory over Lisa Marie Vachon, the former Victoria in WWE.

AEW Revolution 2026: Draws & Duds

Perhaps the biggest draw on the Revolution card is the main event, the AEW Men’s World Championship match pitting MJF against “Hangman” Adam Page once again, and that’s due to just how brutal and unpredictable the match is going to be this time around. To get MJF to agree to his pleas for the match, Page put his future opportunities to challenge for the title on the line, so, if he doesn’t win at Revolution, he’s (in theory) done with the company’s top championship.

Oh, and it’s also a Texas Death match, a “Hangman” specialty. That aspect is going to bring out the extra side of brutality reserved for the top matches of AEW pay-per-views, and we expect a lot of blood, and at least one or two jaw-dropping, questionable (depending on your “sicko” status) spots. And, with a death match stipulation, there are of course, no rules, so interference by any of MJF’s previous challengers and babyface friends of Page, like Brody King, Bandido, and JetSpeed, is always possible. While Page doesn’t currently have any real enemies lurking around,

While there are other stipulation matches on the Revolution card, like the two-out-of-three falls stip for the AEW Women’s World Championship, and the no time limit rule to Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita’s Continental Championship match, there is no stipulation more brutal than Texas Death. A desperate Page challenging MJF, and there aren’t many talents on the AEW roster more dangerous than a desperate Page. The champion, and the sickos alike, are in for a savage, long brawl to cap off the night. AEW hasn’t put on a pay-per-view since Worlds End in December, so president Tony Khan will likely want to cap off this show with a bang, and he’s chosen two stars who will pull no punches in attempts to achieve that. Though, whether that means Page will emerge from Revolution as AEW World Champion remains to be seen.

While the outcome will be interesting either way, if “Hangman” loses here, it’s going to be interesting to speculate on his future. AEW has more likely learned its lesson with how Cody Rhodes losing his ability to challenge for the top title turned out, so the possibilities for Page, even in defeat, are vast, including the company’s numerous other titles. He can win back his ability to challenge for the title in yet another stipulation match down the line, or, he could always goad a heel champion, like MJF, into giving him another shot. Things will also be interesting overall going into AEW’s hot PPV season, with big shows like Double or Nothing, All In, and All Out quickly approaching.

Eric Bischoff Comments On Road Dogg Leaving WWE, Speculates On AEW Or TNA Interest

Earlier in the conversation, Bischoff emphasized the importance of chemistry in a writer’s room, stating that it has a great influence on the success of a wrestling show. Bischoff speculated that his style may have served as an obstacle for him in modern WWE.

“He’s a good guy, but he’s old school,” Bischoff said. “What WWE has become is so polar opposite of what Road Dogg’s primary experience in the business has been.”

Bischoff further noted that under Vince McMahon, the culture worked in ways that it doesn’t today, and James was surrounded by people with the same kind of mentality, which may no longer be the case. “From the outside looking in, [WWE] has become so corporate, that a guy like Road Dogg, who’s not a corporate guy, (…) he’s a square peg that’s being forced into this round corporate hole,” Bischoff said. “In that corporate, sanitized, ultra-corporate environment, a guy like Road Dogg is going to struggle.”

El Hijo del Vikingo Teases Potential WWE Future

El Hijo del Vikingo Teases Potential WWE Future

El Hijo del Vikingo has hinted that his future may soon extend beyond Mexico, with the AAA star openly teasing the possibility of appearing on WWE programming.

In a recent interview with Superluchas, Vikingo spoke about his career and suggested that he has already accomplished everything he wanted to achieve in Mexico. Because of that, he indicated that the next phase of his career could involve competing on a much larger international stage.

“No, everything I had to do in Mexico, I’ve already done. So now we are just steps away from leaving. I mean, expect surprises, and we’re going to be where you least expect it.”

The comments come as Vikingo prepares for a major championship match. He is scheduled to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship at Rey de Reyes on March 14. While the match itself is significant, Vikingo suggested that the outcome could open the door for appearances in other promotions.

During the interview, Vikingo explained that if he regains the AAA Mega Championship, he would be willing to defend the title wherever the opportunity arises, including on WWE television.

“Well, you’re from the media and you know that I’ve defended it everywhere and against anyone. It’s going to be the same now with the WWE alliance. You could see me anywhere, you know? So I have no problem defending it anywhere — whether it’s in NXT, on Raw, wherever — you’ll see me.”

He also addressed the growing partnership between WWE and AAA, pointing out that fans could soon see talent regularly moving between the two promotions.

“Imagine this: WWE stars coming to AAA, and now AAA stars going to WWE. Don’t take your eyes off the broadcast because you’re going to see some good surprises.”

Vikingo’s remarks have drawn additional attention due to recent reports about his contract situation. According to PWInsider Elite, while many AAA wrestlers are currently signed under the Mexico-based holding company Fillip following WWE’s acquisition of the promotion, Vikingo is believed to be working under a direct WWE contract.

That arrangement reportedly places him in a unique position as WWE continues exploring ways to integrate AAA talent into its broader global system.

With Rey de Reyes set for March 14 and Vikingo openly teasing future appearances outside of Mexico, the possibility of seeing him compete on WWE programming — including NXT, RAW, or SmackDown — appears increasingly realistic. If that happens, Vikingo could become one of the first prominent examples of how WWE plans to utilize AAA talent across multiple platforms.
