Big Matches Announced for NXT Stand & Deliver

Big Matches Announced for NXT Stand & Deliver

Several key matches were made official o the March 24 episode of WWE NXT on The CW, as the brand continues its push toward Stand & Deliver on April 4.

An in-ring segment involving Sol Ruca and ZARIA added another layer to their ongoing story. Ruca addressed ZARIA’s recent betrayal and made it clear she felt blindsided after giving her former partner multiple opportunities. She then called ZARIA out and challenged her to a match at Stand & Deliver.

ZARIA came out and explained her actions, stating, “I was always seen as just Sol’s friend, but when I turned on you, I became ZARIA again.”

Ruca pushed back, questioning how she had become the villain in ZARIA’s perspective. ZARIA responded with a sharp remark, saying, “You’re the mistake in my story.”

The exchange confirmed their match for April 4, adding a personal and emotional clash to the event.

Later in the night, the main event saw Ricky Saints face Tony D’Angelo in singles competition. Saints was accompanied by Ethan Page, and the match quickly turned chaotic when Page interfered and attacked D’Angelo.

That brought out NXT Champion Joe Hendry, who ran to the ring and fought off both Page and Saints. After clearing the ring, Hendry turned his attention to D’Angelo, who had previously targeted him in recent weeks.

The closing moment of the show saw Page and Saints both holding the NXT Championship belt, while Hendry and D’Angelo looked on from the background. The visual highlighted the growing tension around the title picture.

Backstage, NXT Interim General Manager Robert Stone later confirmed a major announcement. At Stand & Deliver on April 4, Joe Hendry will defend the NXT Championship in a Fatal 4-Way match against Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and Tony D’Angelo.

In addition, a contract signing for the title match is scheduled for the March 31 episode of WWE NXT, which will take place at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

With multiple rivalries reaching a boiling point, WWE NXT is set for a stacked Stand & Deliver card, and the March 31 episode is expected to play a key role in the final build.

NXT at MSG Set for Major Matches and Mike Santana Return

NXT at MSG Set for Major Matches and Mike Santana Return

WWE NXT continues its build toward Stand & Deliver, with a loaded episode scheduled for March 31 at the Infosys Theater inside MSG in New York City. The show will feature key matches and segments that will shape the card for the upcoming Premium Live Event.

One of the major highlights is the return of TNA World Champion Mike Santana. He appeared on the March 24 episode and made his intentions clear. Santana announced that he will team up with O.T.M., made up of Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, to face DarkState, which includes Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Saquon Shugars. During his message, Santana issued a direct warning.

“They’ve felt these hands before, but never like this. This is Madison Square Garden. When you get off that plane, wipe your feet and pay your respects.”

That match adds a strong crossover element and raises the stakes for the New York City crowd.

Another important bout will see Kendal Grey face Lola Vice. The winner will earn a title opportunity against Jacy Jayne at Stand & Deliver. This match carries clear implications for the NXT women’s division and could determine a future champion.

Kelani Jordan is also set to face Jaida Parker in what is expected to be a physical contest. Both competitors are looking to gain momentum at a key point on the road to Stand & Deliver.

The tag team division will also be in focus. Birth Rite will take on Los Americanos in a number one contender’s match. The winning team will challenge The Vanity Project for the NXT Tag Team Titles at Stand & Deliver, making this a crucial matchup.

In another featured bout, Keanu Carver will go one-on-one with Jasper Troy. This match stems from Carver disrupting Booker T Appreciation Night, and Troy is looking for revenge. Due to the intensity of the rivalry, Josh Briggs has been assigned as the special referee, as no other official agreed to take the role.

Additionally, Tatum Paxley and Blake Monroe will meet face-to-face. This comes after Monroe took possession of Paxley’s NXT Women’s North American Title without officially winning it. The segment is expected to lead to a match announcement.

With several matches tied directly to Stand & Deliver, this episode of NXT at Madison Square Garden is set to play a major role in shaping upcoming storylines.

Here is the lineup for the NXT show in New York City:

  • Winner challenges for NXT Women’s Title at Stand & Deliver: Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey
  • Jasper Troy vs. Keanu Carver (Special Guest Referee: Josh Briggs)
  • Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan
  • Mike Santana, Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars & Osiris Griffin)

Rob Van Dam Open To WWE Return, Rejects Idea Of Retirement Tour

Rob Van Dam Open To WWE Return, Rejects Idea Of Retirement Tour

Rob Van Dam may be 53 years old, but stepping away from the ring is not on his mind just yet. The former world champion has made it clear that while nothing is confirmed, a return to WWE remains a real possibility.

A member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021, Van Dam built a legacy as one of the most unique and innovative performers in the industry. Known for blending martial arts with high-risk offense, “Mr. Monday Night” reached the top of the mountain when he held both the WWE Championship and the ECW World Championship simultaneously. One of his most iconic moments came at ECW One Night Stand 2006, where he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against John Cena in front of a rabid crowd.

Van Dam was last seen in WWE during Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2025, adding more speculation about a potential comeback.

Speaking with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Van Dam addressed the possibility of returning to WWE for another match or run, and he did not rule anything out.

“I am open to considering anything. That’s part of being open-minded. I try not to shut anything out without at least considering it, and when it comes to something like that, they got my number, and they can talk to me. As you know, I’ll be appearing at WWE World,” RVD said.

While he remains open to opportunities, Van Dam pushed back on the idea of doing a traditional retirement tour, explaining that he prefers to let things happen naturally rather than framing a final match in advance.

“As far as a retirement tour, unless I change my perspective, which happens because you always look at it from a different place in life if you keep going, but the way I feel now is that I don’t like the idea of labeling something as ‘retirement’ or I don’t want to know if I’m having my last match, when I am,” he said.

Van Dam’s in-ring future has been impacted by injuries in recent years. He was sidelined for nearly a year after suffering two broken heels at MLW Battle Riot 2025, marking a significant setback after already being inactive since April 2024.

With WrestleMania season approaching and Van Dam scheduled to be around WWE events, the door is clearly open. Whether that leads to one more match remains to be seen, but RVD has made it clear he is not closing that chapter just yet.

Thunder Rosa Reveals WWE Offered Her Referee Role

Thunder Rosa Reveals WWE Offered Her Referee Role

Thunder Rosa has opened up about a difficult period in her career, revealing that WWE once offered her a non-wrestling role at a time when she was struggling financially.

Speaking on The Cruz Show on REAL 92.3 LA, Rosa detailed how the offer came in 2019, when she was still grinding on the independent scene and trying to make ends meet.

“In 2019, (WWE) called me and they were like, ‘Are you ready to hang up the boots?’ I was like, ‘Well, you know, I need money.’ So I was like, ‘I need steady money’ because, brother, being an independent professional wrestler is, when you’re talking about hustle, it’s a hustle,” she said.

Rosa explained that the constant grind had taken a toll on her, especially after committing fully to wrestling without a stable income.

“I had a job when I was in the Bay Area, but when I decided to do wrestling full time, I was depending on my ex-husband and my hustle,” stated Rosa. “I was hustling all the time and I was tired. Like hustling after seven years, you’re like, man, I need a job or something.”

According to Rosa, WWE offered her approximately $60,000 per year to step away from in-ring competition and work as a match official. While it was not her dream role, it represented financial stability at a critical time.

“And (WWE) offered me like $60,000 a year, which at the time it was like, ‘All right, it’s better than what I was making.’ There was a hurricane that happened and then they just kept pushing my tryout and then, it never happened.”

The opportunity ultimately fell through after repeated delays caused by a hurricane, and the tryout never materialized. Looking back, Rosa believes everything worked out as it should.

“But it was meant to be that way and that’s when I made the decision to jump into MMA, because they offered me a $3,000 contract,” she said.

Rosa’s journey eventually led her to success in wrestling, including her time in AEW. She recently returned to television following an injury hiatus and challenged Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, though she came up short.

Her story highlights the uncertainty many independent wrestlers face, as well as how close she came to taking a very different path in the industry.
