WWE’s Angelo Dawkins Announces He And His Wife Are Expecting Their Third Child

The Dawkins household is set to get a little bit bigger.

Earlier this weekend, WWE star Angelo Dawkins shared the news that he and his wife, Grace Russo, are currently expecting their third child together. “From running man to man now we switching to zone. Gotta cover 3 now,” he wrote on X alongside a photo of him, Russo, their two young children, and a series of sonograms.

On Instagram, Russo revealed that she and the former WWE Tag Team Champion are due to welcome their third child into the world in September 2026. Underneath, several figures within the wrestling world congratulated the pair on the development.

“Congratulations pal! Just a bunch of bad ass tweeners!’ wrote former WWE star Ridge Holland. Former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley echoed those sentiments, writing “FAM!!!!!!!$$”

Other notable names chiming in were Natalya, TJ Wilson, Bobby Lashley, Carmella, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair, the latter of whom is married to Dawkin’s in-ring tag partner Montez Ford.

WWE fans last saw Dawkins in televised competition on the November 1 episode of “Main Event,” in which he and Ford defeated Los Garza’s Angel and Berto. Dawkins and Ford, together known as The Street Profits, briefly returned to the ring for a trio of “NXT” live events in January, with reports indicating that WWE wanted to keep them “fresh” for new TV programs.

Nearly two months later, Dawkins and Ford still have not resurfaced on WWE television. New reports, however, suggest that WWE officials have discussed them from a creative standpoint. Furthermore, an on-screen return could be in the works for them, though the timing of it is unknown.

AEW Star Thinks ‘Ship Has Sailed’ For Dream WWE Match Between Roman Reigns & The Rock

Roman Reigns and The Rock are two of the biggest names of their respective WWE generations, and with a familial tie in the Anoa’i dynasty, their two egos were bound to clash at some point. After WWE WrestleMania 40, many fans believed that The Rock would eventually step up to Reigns after things went sour on both nights. The dream match has yet to materialize, though, and with no evidence that The Rock intends to return to the ring, while Reigns’ schedule continues to shrink each year, it might never happen.

According to Jeff Jarrett, that could be for the best. “That tugs at the emotional heart strings, but at this point, … I think that ship is long sailed now,” he said on his “My World w/Jeff Jarrett” podcast. Jarrett believes that the match could’ve been great years ago as a passing-of-the-torch moment, but there’s less incentive for either man to see the match through with Reigns in his position as a dominant part-timer.

Although there has been a tendency to book more nostalgia-based matches in Saudi Arabia, Jarrett isn’t sure there is even demand there for Reigns vs. Rock at this point. “I don’t think the Saudi folks, at this point, are in that lane,” Jarrett said regarding the history of bringing back legacy wrestlers there. “My gut tells me no.”

Interestingly, Jarrett held a much different opinion earlier this year, boldly proclaiming that this year’s WrestleMania would be where Reigns and The Rock would finally have their match, but WWE’s direction since has clearly soured the veteran on this dream match as well.

Update On Ronda Rousey’s AEW Status

Heath Slater Explains How He’d Approach WWE Return If Offered

It’s been six years since Heath Slater competed as a WWE star, and has instead worked for TNA as well as other independent wrestling promotions since being part of the company’s COVID-19 budget cuts in 2020. Although he’s nearing the final stages of his career, Slater recently shared that he’s not closed off to the idea of returning to WWE, but would want to reunite with his 3MB partner Drew McIntyre, and work for the promotion after he retires.

“You know, WWE ever called and was like, ‘Hey man, Drew needs some help. We need to bring the band back together.’ I’ll be like ‘Hell yeah, baby. Sign me for about a year or two,’ but I would follow it up like, ‘Yeah, but after that, could I be an agent or a trainer or something?’ Maybe help some of these kids out a little bit,” he said speaking with “Developmentally Speaking.” “I would totally follow up with that because I’m there. I’m not at the bottom of the ninth inning, but I’m definitely at the bottom of the eighth.”

Slater also explained that he’s continued to keep himself in shape and believes there’s still a handful of years left before he officially hangs up his boots for good, but admitted that his future is uncertain once he steps away from being an in-ring competitor.
