Gabe Sapolsky Praises Allie Katch After Standout Indie Match

WWE talent scout Gabe Sapolsky has singled out Allie Katch for major praise following her performance on the independent scene over the weekend.

Katch faced WWE ID Women’s Champion Laynie Luck at a Women’s Wrestling Revolution event in Massachusetts on Sunday, delivering a standout showing that caught Sapolsky’s attention. Watching from ringside, Sapolsky described the bout as one of the strongest independent matches he has seen since stepping into his current WWE role.

He also pointed to Katch’s overall development, noting how far she has come in recent years.

“Much respect to Allie Katch,” Sapolsky wrote. “Incredible WWE ID match vs. Laynie Luck at WWR yesterday. One of the most improved talents I’ve ever seen.”

At 32, Katch has built a solid reputation across the independent circuit, most notably with Game Changer Wrestling. Her momentum was halted in January 2025 when she suffered a broken leg during GCW’s Hammerstein Ballroom event, forcing her to spend a significant portion of the year sidelined.

Despite coming up short in Sunday’s match, Luck retained her WWE ID Women’s Championship and later voiced her support for Katch, urging WWE to bring her into the program.

Sapolsky, a former ROH booker and founder of the original Evolve promotion, now serves WWE as a domestic talent scout and creative consultant. His work includes involvement with the WWE ID initiative and the weekly WWE Evolve series.

Katch’s performance comes at a time when WWE continues to expand its ID program, with recent signings including Notorious Mimi, Valentina Rossi, Fallyn Gray, and Airica Demia.

WWE Raw Results 3/23 – Intercontinental Championship Up For Grabs, The Vision Takes On The Usos & More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s live coverage for “WWE Raw” on March 23, 2026, coming to you live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts!

Although the issues between himself and his now former stablemate Finn Balor have been on the rise over the past couple of weeks, Dominik Mysterio of Judgment Day will have to refocus his sights tonight as he challenges Penta for the Intercontinental Championship. Not only did Penta previously dethroned Dominik as Intercontinental Champion on the March 2 edition of “Raw”, but he also retained his title against Dragon Lee during last Monday’s episode of “Raw” after vowing to be a fighting champion.

Austin Theory and Logan Paul of The Vision will be joining focus with one another to take on reigning World Tag Team Champions Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso in a non-title match. All four men and The Usos’ ally LA Knight came face-to-face with one another on the March 9 episode of “Raw” during a conversation between “Raw” General Manager Adam Pearce and former leader of The Vision Seth Rollins.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns met with one another in the closing moments of last Monday’s show in a tense verbal altercation that turned physical with one another as they prepare to square off for Punk’s title at WrestleMania 42. Elsewhere on last Monday’s show, Becky Lynch blindsided AJ Lee with an attack moments after she had retained her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley while Oba Femi answered Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania 42 Open Challenge and left him laid out with Fall From Grace. Following their respective events from last Monday’s show, Punk, Reigns, Lynch, and Lesnar are all set to be making appearances on tonight’s show.

Je’Von Evans will be going head-to-head with Grayson Waller in what will mark Waller’s first match on “Raw” since taking part in a Number One Contenders Battle Royal that was eventually won by the aforementioned Jey on the October 20, 2025 episode of “Raw”. Waller’s ally Kofi Kingston has made an effort to recruit Evans to be part of New Day over the course of the past couple of weeks, but Evans outright declined his offer last Monday before Waller was cursed by Danhausen.

Additionally, the aforementioned Bayley will be teaming up with her ally Lyra Valkyria to take on The Kabuki Warriors’ Asuka and Kairi Sane following a backstage verbal confrontation between them last Monday.

Dave Meltzer Says Toni Storm’s Reportedly Lengthy AEW Absence Is Not Due To Injury

“Timeless” Toni Storm was written off television in dramatic fashion last week on “AEW Dynamite,” when it was revealed she had been taken out and left bloodied in her dressing room backstage. A bouquet of flowers was laid beside her, and there were plenty of other clues in the room alluding to other women on the roster, seemingly placed to set up a “Whodunnit?” angle.

Fans wondered if Storm had suffered an injury during her match with Marina Shafir the Sunday prior at Revolution, where the “Timeless” one also went face-to-face with former WWE and UFC star Ronda Rousey. Dave Meltzer revealed on Monday’s edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio,” however, that Storm does not appear to be hurt.

“It appears that she’s not going to be wrestling for a long, long time, and this was something that they found out on Wednesday,” Meltzer explained. “It was not an injury or anything like that. On Wednesday, she’s there, she is set up to wrestle in this match, and they had to do this emergency angle to take her out and put Mina Shirakawa in.”

Fightful Select confirmed on Friday that Storm is set to miss the entirety of 2026, at minimum. She was set to go one-on-one with Shafir yet again, this time in a no holds barred match, on Wednesday’s “Dynamite,” but her Timeless Love Bombs tag partner, Shirakawa, stepped in and scored the victory over “The Problem.”

WWE’s Liv Morgan Teases Release Date & Role In Upcoming Bad Lieutenant Movie

Former WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan made yet another foray into Hollywood last summer, perhaps her biggest yet, when it was revealed she would be starring in “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo,” a Takashi Miike film. Morgan won the 2026 Royal Rumble and is now headed to face champion Stephanie Vaquer for the title she once held on the “Grandest Stage of Them All,” WrestleMania 42, but she’s still looking ahead to the release of her movie, something she talked about on “Director’s Cut Radio.”

“I filmed in Japan last year. It’s going to hit theaters in September,” Morgan said. “I was very excited about the project. I learned a lot, and I feel better after the fact, having the experience. I was lucky to be in the room with all of these incredibly talented veterans of the film industry. The WWE audience is going to see me in a way that I think perhaps they never thought they’d see me, so I would tune in.”

The movie will follow the corrupt lieutenant, played by Shun Oguri, who has to locate a missing politician’s daughter, played by Morgan. Oguri’s character will be aided by “The Iron Claw’s” Lily James, who plays an FBI agent also involved in the investigation. A killer in the yakuza underworld will seemingly follow the teams’ moves as they attempt to find Morgan’s yet-to-be-named character.

Morgan returned to WWE following a shoulder injury she sustained in the ring to help on-screen boyfriend Dominik Mysterio against John Cena at Survivor Series. Morgan made her televised in-ring return in a match on “WWE Raw” in the days leading up to the event, then won the Rumble match from the #14 spot.

Andrade Explains New AEW Gimmick

Since returning to AEW in January 2026, Andrade El Idolo has been having a career revival, arguably equalling his run as NXT Champion and his days as La Sombra in CMLL. Part of Andrade’s success can be attributed to him incorporating new elements into his persona, including taking off his pants mid-match to the amusement of the crowd, and giving his phone number to female fans after taking selfies with them.

In an interview with “SHAK Wrestling,” Andrade explained that the idea of taking photos with female fans came from Andrade wanting to differentiate himself from the rest of the AEW roster, and noted that it seemed to have work given the positive reception. When it came to taking his pants off, however, Andrade admitted that wasn’t something he had in mind, and instead came from him improvising during a match when fans chanted for him to take then off.

“I asked to the ref ‘Hey, what do the people want? Why are they not quiet?'” Andrade said. “‘Because the people want you to take your pants off.’ ‘Take pants off! Take pants off!’ I said ‘Really? Okay!’ I always have trunks, wrestling trunks, under my pants, always. Always.

“So I said ‘This is what people want? Okay, let me take my pants off!” I take my pants off and I started working with my trunks…And now in the arenas, in the buildings, I hear people say ‘Take pants off! Take pants off! Andrade, take your pants off!’ Sometimes I did, sometimes I’m like ‘No, not today.'”
