Former D’Angelo Family Member Luca Crusifino Announces WWE Exit & Retirement

Luca Crusifino, former member of the D’Angelo Family on “WWE NXT,” was one of the many departures from the both developmental brand and main roster on Friday as cuts were made following WWE WrestleMania 42. Crusifino, whose real name is Roman Macek, revealed in a post to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday that he plans to retire from the professional wrestling business overall following his WWE exit.

“After much reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this chapter of my life,” Crusifino penned in a post. “Being a part of the WWE has been a dream ever since I was a child. Getting the chance to live out my dream in front of the world is something I’ll never take for granted. To the fans … thank you for every cheer, every boo, every moment of support. You made this journey unforgettable.”

He wrote that he was forever grateful for the friends he made along the way, as well as coaches at WWE Performance Center and the “NXT” creative team. Crusifino went on to specifically say that he is “officially stepping away and retiring from professional wrestling.” He said the decision wasn’t easy, but it was right for him. Crusifino also said that he wouldn’t be joining OnlyFans, something he joked in another post after the world learned of his release on Friday.

Crusifino first signed a WWE deal in early 2022 and made his in-ring debut in February 2023. The following year, he joined Tony D’Angelo’s faction as the now-NXT Champion’s consigliere. In 2025 following the breakup of the family, he squared off in a triple threat with D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, before moving to work on “WWE EVOLVE.”

EA Sports’ UFC 6 Officially Announced, Cover Athletes & Editions Revealed

EA Sports has announced its sixth entry into the UFC video game series will release on June 19 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.

EA Sports released its first UFC title in 2014, followed by EA Sports UFC 2 in 2016, UFC 3 in 2018, UFC 4 in 2020, and UFC 5 in 2023 thus far. So the sixth title was always going to be expected to release this year. The question mainly hinged on who out of the roster would be taking to the cover of the game.

In typical gaming fashion, there will be two different editions, a “Standard Edition” base version of the game and the “Ultimate Edition” with bonus digital content. Thus, there are two cover athletes: Alex Pereira for the “Standard Edition” and Max Holloway for the “Ultimate Edition.”

Both cover athletes were champions heading into this year, Pereira the reigning Light Heavyweight Champion before vacating his title ahead of an Interim Heavyweight title match on June 14, and Holloway the BMF Champion before his defeat to Charles Oliveira in March.

The “Standard Edition” is priced at $69.99 and will include the base game and three fighter skins as a pre-order bonus.

The “Ultimate Edition” is priced at $99.99, although EA Play subscribers can purchase it for $89.99, and will include seven days early access for those who pre-order, the “Fighter Pass” including eight new fighters – two at launch and six in the coming future, the “Expansion Pass” including a new game mode, and two more bundles including cosmetics items and in-game currency.

Biggest Winners And Losers Of The Week — 4/27/2026

While there are plenty of incredible talents still working their butts off on the “WWE NXT” roster, the developmental brand took a major hit this week, from call-ups to the main roster to a slew of post-WrestleMania releases on Friday. While head of “NXT” creative Shawn Michaels has been open about knowing these things happen often, and his stars aren’t meant to stick around for years, it still has to suck for him and everyone involved behind the scenes.

Not including the likes of Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams who were called up prior to WrestleMania, “NXT” has now lost Blake Monroe and Ricky Saints, who are set to debut on “SmackDown” on Friday, as well as Joe Hendry, Sol Ruca, Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid, and Ethan Page. A majority of those stars are former champions on “NXT,” from Women’s North American champs to all the most recent holders of the NXT Championship.

Thinking of everyone called up over the last few months, “NXT” had taken one of the biggest hits to its roster in recent memory. Thankfully, the women’s roster remains strong, with the likes of champion Lola Vice (who herself may not be long for “NXT”), Tatum Paxley, Kendal Grey, Wren Sinclair, Jaida Parker, and more, but the men’s roster hasn’t been as deep as the women’s since the days of “NXT” Black & Gold. There’s going to be a lot of pressure on guys like current NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, who returned with a completely revamped gimmick to end 2025, Keanu Carver and the Vanity Project, all who just were called up from developmental’s developmental, “WWE EVOLVE,” and North American Champion Myles Borne.

The releases were more so developmental talent who hadn’t debuted on Tuesday nights, or had only wrestled a handful of televised matches, but it was still be a hit to “NXT.” And don’t get me started on the fact that talents from the new season of “WWE LFG: Legends & Future Greats” were released prior to the season even premiering on Sunday. The season already had a new premise which wasn’t as exciting, and now, knowing that talent on the show have already been released, I don’t exactly think there’s much incentive to watch.

Kevin Nash Describes Lackluster Experience At WWE Hall Of Fame

The WWE Hall of Fame hasn’t been the most popular experience during WrestleMania the last few years, due in part to how difficult it is for fans to fit the event in during a packed weekend while attempting to traverse Las Vegas. According to Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, this year’s ceremony wasn’t ideal for talent, either. Nash attended to induct fellow nWo member Dennis Rodman into the celebrity wing. On an episode of “Kliq This,” Nash questioned how anyone was supposed to follow Stephanie McMahon’s speech, and also revealed that everything was written for other talent, and on a teleprompter.

“My whole thing is, if it’s easier, when you’re told what to do and it’s going to be on a teleprompter, it’s just like, ‘Okay, that’s fine, as long as what I’m reading on that teleprompter is what I want to read,'” he said.

Nash said that he commented to a writer that they all wrote their own stuff back when he and Scott Hall were inducted in 2015 and 2014, respectively. He also described it as a tough, hungry day for stars, who had to be there at 3 p.m. for the event that lasted through midnight.

“Absolutely not a stitch of f****** food for the talent available,” he said. “No protein. Some bags of chips, a couple of f****** bananas and a tangerine. I asked the f****** head of f****** talent relations, I won’t say his name. I asked him, ‘Is there food?’ He didn’t come in and say ‘Hi’ to me until Stephanie was done. In other words, we probably will never have to use him again because he will never do anything again.”

Motor City Machine Guns Likely AEW Bound After WWE Exit

Motor City Machine Guns Likely AEW Bound After WWE Exit

Motor City Machine Guns appear to have a clear next step following their WWE release, with multiple sources expecting them to land in AEW once their current deals expire.

According to Fightful, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley will officially be free agents in July. Their contracts are set to run through the standard post-release period following the WrestleMania 42 roster cuts.

Sources within TNA Wrestling indicated that the door remains open for a return, noting that the promotion would welcome them back at any time. However, those same sources believe AEW is the most likely destination. As of now, there has been no confirmed contact between AEW and the team.

There is already a recent history between both sides. Fightful reports that AEW made a strong push to sign the Motor City Machine Guns in 2024 and even presented a formal offer. WWE ultimately matched that deal, which led Sabin and Shelley to join the company instead. With that agreement now over, AEW’s previous interest could be revisited.

Backstage in WWE, the reaction from the team has been described as calm and professional. Those who spoke to Fightful said Sabin and Shelley accepted the situation and remain confident in their ability to stay active and perform at a high level moving forward. While they had hoped for more opportunities, they were satisfied with how they were used overall during their run.

Their involvement had slowed down in recent months, and they were not scheduled for recent WWE SmackDown tapings. That reduced presence may have signaled what was coming.

The Motor City Machine Guns joined WWE in late 2024 and made an immediate impact by winning the WWE Tag Team Championships in just their second match. Their run came to an end on April 24 as part of the broader roster cuts following WrestleMania 42.

With free agency approaching, AEW now stands as the most expected landing spot, though nothing has been finalized.
