Big Boom AJ & QT Marshall Win At AEW Revolution Zero Hour With Help From Wayne Brady

The Costco Guys’ Big Boom AJ and AEW’s QT Marshall were successful in the first match of Revolution’s Zero Hour pre-show, and received some unexpected help from Wayne Brady. The social media star and Marshall defeated The Infantry’s Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo, despite the best efforts of Shane Taylor and Trish Adora.

AJ and Marshall went right after the Infantry after the bell rang, and AJ and Dean kicked off the match officially. AJ tagged in Marshall, who was sent over the top rope and confronted by Adora at ringside. She went face-to-face with the Rizzler, however, and Bravo had to separate them when she was charmed by the “Rizzler Face.”

Marshall and Dean battled in the ring and got the hot tags off to Bravo and AJ. AJ took out both members of the Infantry with right hands, then slammed them both to the mat. He hit a powerbomb to Bravo, but Dean broke up the pin. AJ dodged a double stomp, and Dean and Bravo ate a pair of cutters from Marshall off the ropes.

Taylor pulled down the ropes at one point, sending Marshall spilling outside of the ring once again. Taylor then started to mouth off at Brady over the barricade and pulled off the star’s hat. Brady slapped Taylor, and the Rizzler stepped up to him, but Taylor pushed down Rizzler. He ate a big spear from Big Justice for his trouble.

AJ jumped from the top rope to take out the field of heels below, and he and Marshall delivered a BoomsDay Device to Bravo to score the victory. The Costco Guys, Marshall, and Brady then celebrated the win in the ring.

AEW Revolution Backstage News Ahead of Tonight’s PPV

AEW Revolution Backstage News Ahead of Tonight’s PPV

AEW presents its Revolution PPV tonight from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and several backstage news have emerged as the company prepares for the event.

AEW Revolution Backstage News

Internally, there is said to be considerable satisfaction with the business performance of this year’s Revolution. Ticket sales have surpassed 12,000, generating a gate of more than $1 million. That total makes this the second‑largest Revolution in company history, trailing only last year’s show headlined by Sting’s retirement match.

There is also growing internal belief that the Revolution brand may receive an even bigger spotlight moving forward, with expectations that next year’s edition could take on increased significance within AEW’s annual pay‑per‑view lineup.

Regarding roster‑related chatter, nothing new has surfaced about Kris Statlander’s contract status. Inquiries made this week reportedly turned up no updates on the situation.

Despite fan speculation, there has been no indication that Mercedes Moné will appear tonight. She dropped another championship over the weekend, which fueled online discussion about her next move, but nothing suggests she is scheduled for Revolution.

Tonight’s show also marks a key moment for the rollout of MyAEW internationally. There is internal interest in how the service performs during its first major live event, with the launch viewed as an important test for the platform.

Beyond Revolution, there has been internal discussion about talent who have been off AEW television potentially resurfacing in the coming months. No specific names have been confirmed, but the expectation is that some absences may soon come to an end.

Jay White once again stirred speculation by teasing a possible return ahead of an AEW pay‑per‑view, something he has done during previous PPV weekends. As of now, there is no confirmation that “Switchblade” will appear tonight.

Another name quietly making the rounds backstage is Tatevik Hunanyan. Although she only recently had her first AEW match since signing months ago, she has reportedly been backstage at events regularly as she continues to settle into the company.

Booker T on NXT Stand & Deliver Move Away From WrestleMania Weekend

Booker T on NXT Stand & Deliver Move Away From WrestleMania Weekend

This year’s WWE NXT Stand & Deliver will not be part of WrestleMania weekend for the first time in years, shifting instead to a standalone event on April 4 — two weeks before WrestleMania 42. As the brand prepares for the change, Booker T says he isn’t sure yet whether the move will ultimately help or hurt the show, but he believes it will definitely feel different for fans and talent.

Booker T on NXT Stand & Deliver Move

Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker was asked whether separating NXT Stand & Deliver from WrestleMania festivities would be beneficial. He admitted he has mixed feelings.

“I don’t know, man,” Booker said. “I don’t mind being an add‑on because we know we ain’t going to have a problem selling tickets. We’re going to be around everything that’s going on. Actually, having the young guys still have a piece of that feeling of WrestleMania, I thought was very, very, very important. I really did. So yeah, it’s going to be different.”

Why Stand & Deliver Was Moved

Reports indicate that the decision to shift the show away from WrestleMania weekend was driven by several factors. In previous years, WWE’s production team was responsible for SmackDown, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, and NXT Stand & Deliver — all within a 24‑hour window leading into WrestleMania night one. Moving Stand & Deliver gives the crew relief while also giving NXT a clearer spotlight and more room to succeed on its own.

NXT Stand & Deliver will take place at The Factory at The District in St. Louis, with NXT Champion Joe Hendry, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, and NXT North American Champion Myles Borne all advertised for the event. The show will stream live on WWE YouTube channels.

WrestleMania 42 week will bring WWE back to Las Vegas, where multiple high‑profile matches are already confirmed. The two‑night event takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium.
