TNA Impact 3/26/2026: 3 Things We Hated & 3 Things We Loved

Welcome back, as another episode of “TNA Impact” comes to a close. With tonight’s show, the company put the finishing touches on the build to tomorrow’s TNA Sacrifice, and it was a fairly uneventful installment as a result. It was an especially System-heavy episode, so your mileage with this one may depend on how much you’re willing and able to put up with the current state of that faction. As you’ll soon find out, not everyone here at Wrestling Inc. is a fan.Former Atlanta Falcons staring off with members of The SystemThe System in the "TNA Impact" main event TNA Wrestling/X

TNA doesn’t really have a good relationship with the concept of the wrestling faction, smashing together all manner of names over the years and hoping for the best, the result being not so much the best. And that appears to be the matter with the System too, despite the very deliberate attempt to try and make them something that matters.

They are legitimately everywhere on every single show, but they are more often than not some of the more mundane moments of the show. It’s all obvious, trodden and trodden again road, yet they continue to do it in lieu of what they could be doing.

One might say TNA is filled with veterans and those either yet to be or not quite on the radar of the bigger two companies, but there are also some really good names on the roster that could be getting the attention that is being given to them. Every week TNA goes for what feels like contented middle-of-the-road booking and while it’s great that they have this landmark TV deal it doesn’t feel as though its done any good for them creatively speaking. It’s just really frustrating.

The issue is the very nature of what the System is and how the System has been presented means there’s only going to be more of this, and it has an effect on the overall desire to watch the show every week. There is so much more the promotion can be doing, so very much like in real life, the System is broken and it’s beginning to grate on me.

Chris Jericho Says AEW Tried to Sign AJ Styles

Chris Jericho Says AEW Tried to Sign AJ Styles

Chris Jericho Says AEW Tried to Sign AJ Styles – Chris Jericho has confirmed that All Elite Wrestling previously explored signing AJ Styles, shedding light on past discussions that took place when Styles’ WWE contract was nearing its end.

Speculation about Styles potentially joining AEW surfaced earlier this year following his retirement from in-ring competition in WWE. While Styles publicly dismissed those rumors at the time, Jericho has now revealed that there was indeed a period when AEW made a serious effort to bring “The Phenomenal One” into the company.

“There was a time when we were going after him when his contract was up,” Jericho said. “Could he be a good fit? Of course he would be. AJ’s a great performer and a great guy. But there is something to be said for the fact that when you’ve worked in the Vince McMahon system for a long time, you think differently.”

Jericho went on to discuss how structural differences between WWE and AEW can impact a wrestler’s transition from one promotion to another. According to him, the internal approach to producing shows and managing talent can shape how performers adapt when switching environments.

“There are ways WWE runs their company, and there are ways AEW runs theirs,” Jericho continued. “I’m not going to speak for AJ, but I don’t know why you’d retire in one place and then immediately go somewhere else. That said, I’m sure it’s always a possibility.”

Despite the earlier speculation, Styles has remained part of WWE in a non-wrestling capacity following his retirement. He is also scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania Week in Las Vegas, adding another major accolade to his career.

In addition to his Hall of Fame recognition, Styles has launched an official podcast, allowing him to stay connected with fans even after stepping away from active competition.

Jericho’s comments offer rare insight into AEW’s past recruitment efforts and highlight how close the wrestling world may have come to seeing Styles make the jump to a new stage late in his career.

Daniel Moody, Son of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer, Passes Away at 39

Daniel Moody, Son of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer, Passes Away at 39

Daniel Moody, the son of late WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer, has passed away at the age of 39, adding another tragic chapter to a family deeply connected to professional wrestling.

According to information shared via a GoFundMe page created in his name, Moody had been dealing with serious health complications dating back to November. The page noted that he initially went to the hospital for a procedure but suffered a major medical emergency that left him in long-term care.

“Daniel went to the hospital in November for a procedure and suffered a major health crisis and is now in long-term care.”

The fundraiser was originally launched to help cover growing medical and insurance expenses as his condition worsened. However, the situation later took a heartbreaking turn, and the page was updated following his passing. Donations are now being directed toward funeral expenses as his loved ones prepare to lay him to rest. As of now, no official cause of death has been publicly confirmed.

Following the news, Steve Stasiak of Book Pro Wrestlers shared a heartfelt message remembering Moody and reflecting on the family’s long-standing ties to the wrestling business.

“For those who met him, worked with him, or simply followed along over the years, this one hits on a different level. There’s history there. There’s family there. And there’s a bond to the business that never really leaves.”

He added:

“Moments like this remind you how small the wrestling world really is… and how deep those roots go.”

Moody was reportedly the last surviving member of his immediate family. His father, Paul Bearer, best known for his iconic role alongside The Undertaker in WWE, passed away in 2013 following a heart attack. His mother, Dianna, died in 2009, while his older brother, Michael, passed away in 2014.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Moody remained involved in the wrestling industry, competing on the independent scene under the name DJ Pringle. He worked for various promotions throughout Alabama and maintained a connection to the business that defined his family’s legacy.

Daniel Moody’s passing is a significant loss for those who knew him and for a wrestling community that has long been tied to his family’s history.

Former WCW Star Buff Bagwell Appears On TNA Impact, Wants To Wrestle Again

Former WCW and TNA alum Buff Bagwell returned to the Impact Zone for the first time in 20 years on tonight’s “TNA iMPACT,” and he is remorseful. Greeted by backstage interviewer/commentator Gia Miller, the former five-time WCW World Tag Team Champion apologized in front of fans at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, and those watching from home, for his past behavior before ultimately announcing why he made his surprising appearance tonight.

“It’s been tough,” he began. “For those of you who don’t know, I amputated my leg recently, on July 10, 2025. It was devastating…I’ve got a big apology. I’ve got to apologize to each and every fan out here for my behavior for the last 20 years. There’s been some ups and some downs, but more downs than ups. And I want you to know, if you’ll get behind me just one more time, I will come down this ramp, I will walk down this ramp. I will get in that ring, and I will wrestle for TNA one more time.”

Just as the fans provided an eruption of approval, the former TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian had to ruin it for everyone. Poking fun of Bagwell’s past catchphrase by mentioning that “The Buff is not the stuff” anymore, Elijah joined in and defended Bagwell’s honor. Elijah said he would love nothing more than for the veteran to walk with him when he’s ready.

Turning over a new leaf, Bagwell has had his fair share of rough bargains throughout his career since 1991. From a past broken neck injury to multiple car accidents, addiction, and legal troubles, it seems wrestling fans are looking forward to his future comeback match.

Jeff Hardy To Team With Righteous Member Against The System At TNA Sacrifice 2026

Jeff Hardy will be teaming with Vincent of The Righteous against The System’s Cedric Alexander and Brian Myers at TNA Sacrifice.

During Thursday’s “TNA Impact” a backstage segment aired showing Matt Hardy to have been taken out, and the Righteous stood there claiming that it had to be members of the System when Jeff had asked what happened.

And then in a subsequent backstage segment the Righteous were shown to meet with Director of Authority Santino Marella, reaffirming their belief that the System attacked Matt Hardy and asking for a tag match between Vincent and Jeff Hardy against Alexander and Myers.

The match was made official for Friday night’s Sacrifice event, which will also see Eddie Edwards of the System facing Moose in a grudge match. The Hardys’ TNA World Tag Team titles will not be on the line, ensuring their reign goes beyond 250 days with their last defense coming against the Righteous at Genesis in January.
