Jon Jones Joins Russian Bare Knuckle Boxing Promotion Amidst UFC Fall-Out

Jon Jones has signed with IBA Bare Knuckle Boxing as an ambassador for the Russian promotion, coming in the wake of a public falling out with UFC.

Jones announced in a video circulated on social media that he had signed with IBA as an ambassador and would be hosting his first event on March 28 headlined by Yoel Romero and Vagab Vagabov in St. Petersburg, Russia.

“Mother Russia has adopted a new son!!” Jones wrote on Instagram. “I’m proud to announce I’m now the ambassador for IBA Bare Knuckle. I’ll be hosting my first event with my good friend Alfredo Auditore March 28th in St. Petersburg. Let’s go! Let’s create wonderful memories [Translated from Russian with Google]. Thanks to IBA President Umar Kremlev. I’m happy to become a member of the global boxing family.”

Jones has been in Russia filming the ALF MMA reality TV series alongside Daniel Cormier too. His current dispute with UFC stems from statements he had made in the lead-up to the UFC Freedom 250 card at he White House being announced, claiming he was in negotiations to return from his 2025 retirement to fight on the card – many presuming that would come against Alex Pereira.

Pereira was announced for the card while Jones was not, and Dana White said that Jones was never in consideration at all, thus prompting Jones to reiterate that he was in negotiations, that he was lowballed, and if he was considered to be done with the promotion then he would like his release.

The latest back-and-forth saw Jones claim that in negotiations he was offered $15 million, but felt the fight was worth more. White responded to that claim and said that he was never under consideration for the card, no matter what price tag had been put on it.

Swerve Strickland Reveals Why He Wants Kenny Omega’s AEW EVP Powers

It’s a big night for Swerve Strickland this week on “AEW Dynamite,” as he’ll go one on one with Kenny Omega in a rematch from an instant classic the two had back in February. But this will be no ordinary rematch, as the winner will become the defacto #1 contender for MJF and his AEW Men’s World Championship, and walk away with Omega’s AEW Executive Vice Presidential power. The latter was a stipulation Strickland insisted on one week ago, as he looks to deprive Omega of EVP status the same way he did the Young Bucks last year at All In.

In an interview with “WhatCulture Wrestling,” Strickland was asked why he wanted Omega’s EVP powers so badly. While the power aspect doesn’t seem so bad for Strickland, his main motivation is to stack the odds in his favor when it comes to AEW Men’s World Championship matches and prevent any outside forces from getting involved. Strickland feels both factors deprived of winning the title last year at Dynasty and Worlds End, where interference from the Young Bucks led directly to his defeat at the former, while the insertion of MJF into the Worlds End main event contributed to the latter.

“The EVP power is to control outside interferences, making sure nobody else can get into the way of my opportunities,” Stirkcland said. “Like I said in the promo this past week, a #1 contendership means nothing without having power and control that comes with it. So having the #1 contendership, people can still get in the way of those things.

“So the EVP power is just to like give me the best advantage to block anything out, block anybody else from, like, not necessarily getting in my matches, but also blocking other EVPs from mixing up control and trying to sway things into their direction and their advantages. It’s about control, that’s what Swerve in 2026 is about.”

WWE Planning Fatal Four-Way Women’s Tag Team Title Match For WrestleMania 42

WWE Planning Fatal Four-Way Women’s Tag Team Title Match For WrestleMania 42

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 42 is expected to feature a high-stakes fatal four-way, according to a new report.

The current champions, The Irresistible Forces, are reportedly set to defend their titles against Charlexa, The Bella Twins, and the newly added duo of Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.

The latest addition to the match came after Bayley and Valkyria picked up a win over The Kabuki Warriors on WWE Raw. Following the victory, the duo immediately issued a challenge to the champions, which was later confirmed for a title opportunity.

Nia Jax and Lash Legend captured the titles on February 27, defeating Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky to begin their reign. Since then, The Irresistible Forces have retained the championships against both Charlexa and The Bella Twins, though those defenses ended in disqualification, leaving both teams with unresolved claims.

The rivalry is also set to continue on WWE SmackDown, where Charlexa will face The Bella Twins following multiple confrontations involving the champions in recent weeks.

The fatal four-way format allows all teams to remain protected heading into WrestleMania, while still giving each one a clear path to the titles. As of now, WWE has not officially announced the match, but all signs point to it becoming part of the WrestleMania 42 lineup.

The event is scheduled to take place on April 18 and 19 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

  • World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns

  • Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan

Wardlow Backstage At AEW Revolution With No Confirmed Return Plans

Wardlow Backstage At AEW Revolution With No Confirmed Return Plans

Wardlow was present backstage at AEW Revolution 2026 on March 15, though there are currently no confirmed plans for his return to in-ring action.

According to Fightful Select, Wardlow attended the event as a visitor and was not scheduled to appear on the show. At this time, there is no word on whether he has been medically cleared or if AEW has set a timetable for his comeback.

Wardlow has been sidelined since suffering a torn pectoral muscle during his return at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025. The injury occurred when he delivered a lariat to Prince Nana during a post-match attack involving Swerve Strickland. The setback forced AEW to scrap creative plans that would have seen him involved in a major storyline alongside Hangman Page and Kyle Fletcher heading into All Out.

The injury marked another difficult chapter in Wardlow’s recent career. Prior to Forbidden Door, he had already been out of action since March 2024 due to a labrum injury, which was further complicated by a car accident. The torn pectoral muscle added to what has been a lengthy period away from AEW programming.

During his time off, Wardlow remained active outside the ring. In the summer of 2025, he traveled to France to film the revival of American Gladiators for Amazon Prime Video. He appears as one of the featured gladiators on the show, which is hosted by The Miz and includes cast members such as Rick Boogs, Kamille, and Jessie Godderz. The series is scheduled to premiere on April 17, 2026.

A three-time TNT Champion, Wardlow remains one of AEW’s most physically dominant talents. While his backstage appearance at Revolution is a positive sign, there is still no official word on when he will return to action.
