Becky Lynch vs AJ Lee Set For WrestleMania 42 After Heated RAW Confrontation

Becky Lynch vs AJ Lee Set For WrestleMania 42 After Heated RAW Confrontation

A major match has been made official for WrestleMania 42 following a tense and personal segment on the March 23 episode of WWE RAW.

Becky Lynch opened the segment by addressing the crowd and questioning their support for AJ Lee. She criticized AJ for being away from WWE for years, while defending her own time off.

“She asks the crowd why they boo her and cheer someone who abandoned them for a decade. Becky says she understands taking breaks—she took ten months off, not ten years—and she did it because the fans were tired of seeing her succeed. She went home to her family, and when she returned, she made a point. She didn’t chase the world title; she went after the Intercontinental Championship to make it the most important title in wrestling. Becky says she is proud of that title and that she made it what it is.”

Lynch then turned her attention to the controversy surrounding the Elimination Chamber, claiming she was robbed of her championship and expressing frustration over AJ’s rise.

“Becky says now she has to watch AJ Lee parade around with the title she was robbed of at Elimination Chamber. She tried to take a break with her family, but her daughter was singing AJ’s theme song, skipping around the house, and shaking her hair ‘like a Jersey skunk.’ Becky says her daughter doesn’t understand that she is the greatest female wrestler.”

AJ Lee then made her way to the ring, prompting Lynch to retreat through the crowd. Standing atop the announce table, AJ fired back with a sharp response.

“AJ grabs a microphone and stands on the announce table. She says Becky likes to fight dirty, but every time they’ve met in the ring, she has walked Becky like a dog. AJ says maybe she needs to embarrass Becky to get her out of her life, maybe she needs to make her tap out on the biggest stage. AJ says she will show why she is the best of her generation, Becky’s generation, and maybe the next. She says she will show why she is Becky’s daughter’s favorite wrestler. AJ accepts the challenge for WrestleMania.”

Lynch had the final word, revealing that the confrontation played directly into her plan.

“Becky says AJ walked right into her trap and calls her a dope. She says AJ can shine Monday to Friday, but WrestleMania is her domain. Becky reminds AJ that the last time she wrestled at WrestleMania, she resigned the next day and disappeared for a decade. Becky says that when she wins her title back at WrestleMania, she will end AJ and the world will never hear from her again.”

With tensions at a boiling point, Becky Lynch vs AJ Lee is now set for WrestleMania 42 in what promises to be one of the most personal matches on the card.

Oba Femi Clotheslines Brock Lesnar Over The Top Rope On WWE RAW In Boston

Oba Femi Clotheslines Brock Lesnar Over The Top Rope On WWE RAW In Boston

The March 23 episode of WWE Raw at the TD Garden in Boston opened with a major WrestleMania 42 storyline development, as Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman addressed last week’s events.

Following the powerbomb delivered by Oba Femi on the previous episode, Lesnar made his way to the ring alongside Heyman. The Boston crowd quickly made their presence felt, chanting Femi’s name, which visibly frustrated “The Beast Incarnate.”

Heyman responded by defending Lesnar’s recent actions, pointing out that he had already taken out multiple attackers and had been distracted by Seth Rollins before Femi confronted him. He continued to build up Lesnar’s dominance by referencing past opponents who failed to defeat him, including Dean Ambrose and Bobby Lashley, making it clear that Femi would meet the same fate.

As Heyman promised that Lesnar would conquer Femi at WrestleMania 42, the segment took a sudden turn. The lights went out, signaling the arrival of the former NXT Champion. Femi entered to a strong reaction and confronted Lesnar in the ring, leading to a tense face-off between the two.

The situation escalated quickly when Lesnar attempted to lift Femi for an F5. However, Femi countered in a decisive moment, delivering a powerful clothesline that sent Lesnar over the top rope and crashing to the floor.

With the momentum clearly shifting, Heyman immediately urged Lesnar to retreat, pleading with him to leave ringside. Lesnar ultimately backed off, ending the segment with Femi standing tall ahead of their expected WrestleMania clash.

The angle further intensifies the rivalry between the two, with Femi gaining a significant upper hand on RAW just weeks before WrestleMania 42.

Roman Reigns Puts CM Punk Through Table After WWE Raw Confrontation Involving The Usos

Roman Reigns and the Usos beat down World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk to end “WWE Raw” on Monday after a scathing promo from the champion on his WrestleMania 42 opponent. Punk was warned by Jimmy Uso before heading out to the ring to watch what he said, because Jey Uso was “on the warpath,” but Punk couldn’t help himself.

Punk said that last week showed Reigns, the Usos, and their entire family can’t do anything by themselves. He said after Reigns gave the rest of the Bloodline permission to attack him last week, a Samoan hasn’t even looked at him sideways. Punk admitted that Reigns calling him “old” last week did “p*** me off,” but only because his “young boy doesn’t get to disrespect me.” He admitted he was old, but he wasn’t ashamed of it, and the “old” man was going to run circles around Reigns at WrestleMania.

The champion said he’d start fighting all the Samoans, starting with Jey, whose music hit as Punk continued to talk. Jey threatened to run it back on Punk’s “old a**” then and there, but Jimmy ran down to try and calm him down. The brothers were arguing when Reigns’ music finally hit. He got in the ring and told the Usos to leave, but when Punk said he thought they should stay, Jey snapped and went after Punk.

Reigns hit Punk with a Superman punch to the back of the head, and when the Usos were being dragged back down the ramp, Jey yelled at Reigns that he “knew what he had to do” and to “get him.” Reigns then hit Punk with a spear and dropped him through the commentary desk with a powerbomb. Punk, however, was shown laughing as “Raw” faded to black.

Penta Beats Dominik Mysterio In WWE Raw IC Title Rematch After Finn Balor Interferes

On “WWE Raw”, Penta retained his Intercontinental Championship, thanks in part to Finn Balor coming back for revenge against Dominik Mysterio after the Judgment Day kicked him out a couple weeks ago.

Prior to the match, Liv Morgan was attacked by Stephanie Vaquer, so Mysterio was only accompanied by JD McDonagh. During ring introductions, Mysterio attacked Penta and continued the assault after the bell rang. Penta took Mysterio down with a hurricanrana, then stomped him in the corner, sending him out of the ring. Mysterio surprised Penta with a dropkick and a tope suicida.

Penta took Mysterio out with a crossbody and a suplex. He connected with a Penta Driver and Mysterio landed a Michinoku Driver. McDonagh distracted Penta, allowing Mysterio to hit the 619. As he went up top, Finn Balor’s music hit. McDonagh ran up the ramp, but Balor intercepted him. They battled until Balor sent him over a roadcase. Penta used the distraction to roll up Mysterio to retain his title.

After the match, Balor hit a slingblade and dropkicked Mysterio. Before he could hit Coup de Gras, McDonagh pulled Mysterio out of the ring. Balor landed a crossbody on both of them. Mysterio escaped through the crowd, but Balor took McDonagh down with a dropkick and a Coup de Gras. Balor stood on the ropes and stared down Mysterio.

Bron Breakker Expected At WWE Performance Center This Week

Bron Breakker Expected At WWE Performance Center This Week

As noted, WWE has been hopeful that Bron Breakker could return in time for WrestleMania 42, though his status has remained uncertain following injury.

There is now a more positive update on his condition. According to PWInsider, Breakker is expected to be at the WWE Performance Center this week. His presence at the facility is being viewed as a significant step toward medical clearance and an eventual in-ring return.

If Breakker is cleared in the coming days, his previously planned WrestleMania 42 match against Seth Rollins could still move forward. With the event fast approaching, timing remains a key factor, but this latest development suggests the situation is trending in the right direction.

Rollins has already made his return to WWE television and has quickly reinserted himself into storylines. In recent weeks, he has caused chaos on WWE Raw, including a notable attack on Paul Heyman, further building momentum toward a potential high-profile match.

Breakker has been sidelined since the post-Royal Rumble episode of RAW, where he suffered a serious hernia following a dangerous flip over the commentary desk. The injury forced WWE to halt plans involving him at a critical point on the road to WrestleMania.

With time running out, Breakker’s recovery progress is an encouraging sign for both WWE and fans. If he is medically cleared soon, all signs point to the company moving quickly to finalize plans for one of the more anticipated matches on the WrestleMania 42 card.
