AEW’s MVP Says Current WWE Producer Is An ‘Unsung Hero’ In The Industry

Even though most focus on what’s happening on camera, what’s going on behind it and who’s producing it is just as, if not more, important than what’s being presented in front of us. Acknowledging the importance of producers in this industry, AEW star and manager of The Hurt Syndicate, MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter), says this WWE Hall of Famer deserves their flowers for the hard work they create and capture each and every week on WWE programming.

“Molly Holly, she’s an unsung hero,” MVP said on his “Marking Out” podcast. “She’s a producer, I think, with WWE now. But boy, does she know how to wrestle. Like when you talk about women’s wrestlers that were ahead of their time, in this conversation, Molly Holly is an unsung hero. Because Molly was the one that was working with Trish [Stratus] getting Trish up to speed…I remember early matches with Trish was not good. Trish went on to become, you know, arguably the greatest women’s champion of all time.”

From training stars like Stratus, who would later become a poster child of the “Attitude Era” to maintaining the same relevancy with current and new women’s wrestlers behind the scenes now, Holly remains an integral voice in the land of professional wrestling. Starting her full-time role in 2021, the former two-time WWE Women’s Champion described how nervous she was to be casted in this new role, as she had been away for so long. However, after intense training, she is still going strong, and will celebrate her fifth anniversary in this new role later this summer.

Kyle Fletcher Reportedly Left AEW Collision In Walking Boot

TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher reportedly exited Saturday’s episode of “AEW Collision” in Cedar Rapids with the assistance of a walking boot.

Fletcher and Mark Davis teamed up to take on Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz on “Collision,” with the Don Callis Family members picking up the win after Davis planted Xavier with a sit-out piledriver. According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, the win came with a notable downside, specifically in relation to Fletcher.

“Kyle Fletcher left the show tonight in a walking boot,” Alvarez wrote. “Whatever the injury is, it’s legit. Hoping for the best.”

Minutes into their tag bout, Fletcher and Davis picked up Wentz and Xavier and drove them into each other, back-first. To further the damage, the DCF members then dropped The Rascalz with a pair of suplexes. Upon delivering the suplexes, Fletcher’s knee awkwardly collided with Davis’ back, causing Fletcher to immediately roll out of the ring.

While Davis continued to wrestle, live audience accounts revealed that AEW medical staff checked on Fletcher’s condition on the outside. Fletcher later returned to the ring to finish the match, though noticeably favoring his left leg. As of this writing it is unconfirmed if the aforementioned spot contributed to Fletcher’s reported injury. The extent of the injury, as well as potential missed in-ring time, is also unclear.

The Australia native currently reigns as the AEW TNT Champion, having dethroned Tommaso Ciampa last month.  Since then, he’s successfully defended the title against Mark Briscoe, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, and Robbie Eagles.

Mercedes Mone Drops Another Title As Losing Streak Continues

Mercedes Mone Drops Another Title As Losing Streak Continues

Mercedes Mone’s collection of championship gold continues to shrink following another loss over the weekend.

Mone dropped the Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Championship at PTW More Mone More Problems in Poland, losing the title back to Diana Strong. The defeat comes months after Mone originally captured the belt from Strong in Kozlow, Poland on July 27, 2025.

The loss further chips away at what was once a stacked run under her “Ultimo Mone” persona. She is now down to three remaining titles, including the Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship, which she is scheduled to defend against Jody Threat on Tuesday ahead of AEW Dynamite in Winnipeg the following night.

Mone also remains in possession of the APAC Women’s Championship, which she won from Nor Phoenix Diana at a House of Glory event in November, as well as the ceremonial title awarded for winning the Owen Hart Cup in 2025.

Her recent stretch has seen multiple setbacks across the globe. After returning from a two month hiatus on March 6, 2026, Mone lost the CMLL World Women’s Championship to Persephone at Arena Mexico. Just two days later, she dropped the Bestia Women’s Championship in Italy, followed by another title loss in France for the EWA Women’s Championship on March 14.

The slide continued on March 21, where she lost both the Body Slam Women’s Championship and the Discovery Wrestling Women’s Championship in the same day, marking a sharp turn in what had previously been a dominant title collecting run.
