Brock Lesnar Reveals Wild Story Behind Infamous Chest Tattoo

Brock Lesnar Reveals Wild Story Behind Infamous Chest Tattoo

Brock Lesnar’s chest tattoo has been a talking point for years, and now the “Beast Incarnate” has shed more light on how it actually came to be.

The former WWE Champion already had his distinctive skull tattoo across his back, but it was the large knife design on his chest that really split opinion among fans. Speaking on the “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast, Lesnar admitted the story behind it was far from well thought out.

“[When] I got that tattoo, I was s**t-faced drunk in Scottsdale, Arizona,” he said, explaining he was in town for NFL training at the time. He added that the decision came not long after he had been involved in a motorcycle accident, and he was looking to blow off some steam.

Lesnar recalled spotting a tattoo shop across from a biker bar, something he now recognises as a red flag.

“There was a tattoo shop across the street from the biker bar, and that’s not a good place to have a tattoo shop.”

The decision itself was just as chaotic as the setting. Lesnar admitted he barely remembers getting the tattoo at all.

“I got this tattoo – I didn’t even know I got the damn thing. I wake up the next day: what … is this thing?”

Despite the wild circumstances, Lesnar insists the tattoo does carry meaning. He explained it reflects a period in his life where he felt under pressure, like he had a weapon at his throat.

“I walked over there and said: ‘Yeah! Let’s put a big ass, ugly sword on my chest.’ … No planning whatsoever. It was a half a gallon of vodka and maybe a few Vicodin.”

Marc Mero Opens Up On WWE Struggles: “I Wasn’t Well-Liked”

Marc Mero Opens Up On WWE Struggles: “I Wasn’t Well-Liked”

Marc Mero thought jumping from WCW to WWE in the mid 1990s would launch him straight into the top tier. Instead, doubts crept in almost immediately.

Speaking on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet,” Mero recalled his first creative meeting with Vince McMahon and how things quickly shifted. He initially expected to carry over his WCW persona, but ongoing legal issues between the two companies forced a change. That led to McMahon pitching the “Wild Man” Marc Mero character.

“I go, ‘What’s a wild man?'” Mero said. “[McMahon] goes, ‘Can you do a Tarzan yell?'”

Mero admitted he didn’t have the voice for it and couldn’t pull it off, but the gimmick went ahead anyway. It was never something he connected with and he believes the fans felt that disconnect too.

Things became even more complicated when he was paired on screen with his wife, Sable. According to Mero, that situation hurt both his popularity and his standing behind the scenes.

“My confidence wasn’t there,” Mero said. “I wasn’t well-liked. … Come to find out later, I got this guaranteed contract, I have my wife flying everywhere I’m flying, so I’m not hanging out with the guys, not going to the bars, not staying up and doing things with those guys.”

Mero was also breaking new ground as the first WWE talent to receive a guaranteed contract, something he believes created tension in the locker room. Combined with his different travel routine, it added to the perception that he was separate from the rest of the roster.

He remained with WWE until 1999, working 20 pay per view matches including appearances at Royal Rumble and Survivor Series, and capturing the Intercontinental Championship once during his run.

Adam Copeland Responds To Talk Of One More TLC Match In AEW

Adam Copeland Responds To Talk Of One More TLC Match In AEW

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage may be locked in on FTR and the AEW World Tag Team Championships heading into AEW Dynasty, but their recent run-ins with The Young Bucks since AEW Revolution have sparked plenty of speculation about what could be next. With tensions building between all three teams, talk of a potential showdown has only grown louder, with some fans even floating the idea of a three-way TLC match that would mirror the iconic battles Copeland and Christian once had with The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz.

During an appearance on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Copeland and Christian were asked directly about the possibility of stepping into the chaos one more time for a TLC match against The Young Bucks and FTR. While Copeland did not shut the door on the idea, he was quick to acknowledge the toll it could take.

“Yeah, if you want me to retire the next day,” Copeland said. “It’s tough to look at the three teams and not draw some similarities to past rivalries, right? It’s kind of a no brainer to almost go there immediately. Man…I don’t know. I don’t know man. It be interesting.”

Christian, meanwhile, showed no hesitation when it came to confidence in the outcome.

“We’d win for sure,” Christian said.

Copeland went on to open up about the physical challenges he faces at this stage of his career, making it clear that while the passion is still there, the reality of competing at a high level is becoming tougher.

“I’ll be honest, physically it gets more difficult,” Copeland said. “There’s no way around it.”

Christian offered a very different perspective.

“I feel great,” Christian said.

Copeland then doubled down on the contrast between them, adding that it only pushes him to work harder to keep up.

“He feels great. That just means I work harder. So you know, I’m not going to lie and say that it isn’t a struggle sometimes. It absolutely is, I’m not going to lie. 52 years old, stuff gets harder. But you just got to work harder.”

Sami Zayn United States Title Win Gets Mixed Fan Reaction

Sami Zayn United States Title Win Gets Mixed Fan Reaction

Sami Zayn is heading into WrestleMania 42 as the new United States Champion, but the reaction from fans online suggests the moment has not landed as WWE may have expected.

On the March 27 episode of WWE SmackDown, Sami Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes in a chaotic match to capture the United States Championship. The finish included outside involvement from Trick Williams, which played a key role in the outcome.

The win was presented as a major moment for Zayn, positioning him as a top champion just weeks before WrestleMania 42. However, the response online quickly told a different story.

WWE later uploaded the match finish to its official YouTube channel, where the fan reaction became more visible. The video has drawn approximately 7.8K likes compared to 12.2K dislikes. That means around 61 percent of viewers who interacted with the video chose the dislike option.

Those numbers stand out, especially this close to WrestleMania 42. Typically, WWE aims to build strong fan support for its champions during this period. In this case, the reaction suggests a notable portion of the audience is not fully behind Zayn winning the title under these circumstances.

One possible factor is the way the match ended. The interference involving Trick Williams may have influenced how fans viewed the result. Title changes that rely on outside involvement can sometimes lead to mixed reactions, even when the performer involved is popular.

Despite the online feedback, Zayn now moves forward as United States Champion heading into WWE’s biggest event of the year. The company will likely continue to build around him in the coming weeks, but the early response highlights a disconnect between the intended moment and audience reaction.

With WrestleMania 42 approaching, it remains to be seen whether fan sentiment will shift or if this reaction will carry into the event.

ESPN Seeks Arbitration in WWE Class-Action Lawsuit

ESPN Seeks Arbitration in WWE Class-Action Lawsuit

ESPN is now attempting to formally enter a class-action lawsuit that was originally filed against WWE earlier this year.

The update was first reported by Brandon Thurston, who revealed that the sports network submitted a memorandum to the court on Friday. The filing requests permission for ESPN to intervene in the lawsuit, which was initially filed in January by two consumers.

The lawsuit centers on claims of deceptive marketing. According to the complaint, WWE allegedly promoted that ESPN subscribers would have access to premium live events without needing to pay extra. While WWE was named as a defendant when the case was filed, ESPN was not originally included.

Thurston explained the reasoning behind that decision, writing, “Plaintiffs did not name ESPN as a defendant, apparently to get around the arbitration clause in the subscriber agreement.”

With this new filing, ESPN is seeking to shift the case out of the court system and into arbitration. This request is based on the subscriber agreement tied to its parent company, The Walt Disney Company, which includes arbitration provisions for disputes.

The legal issue stems from the rollout of ESPN’s premium service tier. At the time the deal involving WWE content was announced, ESPN indicated that it planned to reach agreements with cable and streaming providers that would allow customers to access ESPN Unlimited without additional cost. However, that rollout has not been fully implemented.

As it stands, customers whose providers do not include the Unlimited tier must pay a monthly fee of $30 to access that content.

The plaintiffs in the case are seeking to represent a group of United States-based consumers. This group includes existing ESPN subscribers between August 6 and the WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event on September 20, along with those who paid for the service during that time.

However, not all subscribers are included. Customers who used platforms such as Hulu + Live, Spectrum, Verizon FIOS, DIRECTV, and FuboTV are excluded, as those services reportedly provided access to the content at no additional charge during the timeframe in question.

The situation remains ongoing as the court decides whether to allow ESPN to intervene and whether the case will proceed in court or move to arbitration.
