IShowSpeed Set For WrestleMania 42 Match In Major WWE Plans

IShowSpeed Set For WrestleMania 42 Match In Major WWE Plans

WWE is reportedly lining up a major celebrity crossover moment for WrestleMania 42, with plans currently in place for IShowSpeed to step into the ring once again.

The popular streamer is already familiar with WWE audiences, having made multiple appearances in recent years, including entering the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble. He has also spent time training with Randy Orton and even competed in a full match at the WWE Performance Center as part of his Speed Goes Pro series.

Speed has been heavily involved on recent episodes of WWE Raw, where his chaotic presence has quickly turned into storyline tension. After being “cursed” by Danhausen, things spiraled further when he accidentally struck LA Knight with brass knuckles. That moment directly contributed to Logan Paul and Austin Theory defeating The Usos to capture the World Tag Team Championship.

With tensions escalating, speculation has been building around a potential singles clash between Speed and Knight at WrestleMania. However, current internal plans point toward a six-man tag team match instead. The reported direction would see Speed team with Logan Paul and Austin Theory against The Usos and LA Knight on the grand stage.

There is still some flexibility depending on Speed’s in-ring readiness. If needed, WWE could pivot to a traditional tag match featuring The Usos against Paul and Theory, with Speed and Knight positioned at ringside. As of now, though, the six-man tag remains the preferred option internally.

Meanwhile, LA Knight has already made it clear that the situation is far from over, issuing a warning following their Raw altercation: “Mistake or not, it’s coming.”

WWE SmackDown Sees Viewership Dip But Hits Best Demo Rating In Weeks

WWE SmackDown Sees Viewership Dip But Hits Best Demo Rating In Weeks

Last Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 1.308 million viewers on USA Network, marking a 9.1% drop from the previous week and the lowest audience the show has recorded since March 6.

Despite the dip in total viewers, SmackDown saw a positive shift in the key 18-49 demographic, posting a 0.33 rating. That figure represents a 3.1% increase week over week and stands as the show’s strongest performance in that category since late February.

The broadcast faced stiff competition from the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament “Sweet 16” games, which aired across CBS, TBS and TruTV and dominated television ratings for the evening.

Even with that challenge, SmackDown still secured a fourth-place finish on the primetime cable charts, trailing only basketball programming. Outside of the tournament coverage, it ranked as the top-rated show in the 18-49 demographic across both cable and major network television.

Looking at year-over-year comparisons against similar competition, overall viewership declined by 3.1%, while the 18-49 demo rating saw a larger drop of 17.5%.

Matt Hardy Clarifies WWE ‘Home’ Comment Says Jeff And I Have Two Homes

Matt Hardy Clarifies WWE 'Home' Comment Says Jeff And I Have Two Homes

Matt Hardy has cleared up recent remarks that stirred conversation among fans after he referred to WWE as “home” for The Hardy Boyz.

The comment came after Austin Theory and Logan Paul captured the WWE Tag Team Titles on WWE Raw, prompting Hardy to react on social media. He called the result a “travesty” and suggested the WrestleMania 42 crowd would erupt if The Hardy Boyz returned to reclaim the gold, describing WWE as their home.

Now, Hardy has offered further context, explaining that both he and Jeff Hardy see themselves as having two homes in professional wrestling.

According to Hardy, WWE represents their childhood foundation. It is where they developed as performers, experienced both success and failure, and ultimately built the legacy that led many to view them among the greatest tag teams of all time.

At the same time, he emphasized that TNA Wrestling holds equal importance as their “adult home.” Hardy credited TNA for giving them the freedom to evolve creatively and take risks, leading to some of their most iconic personas, including Broken Matt, Brother Nero, Willow, Anti Christ, and Big Money Matt.

He expressed appreciation for the current relationship between WWE and TNA, noting that the partnership opens the door for new possibilities involving The Hardy Boyz.

Looking ahead, Matt and Jeff Hardy are set to defend the TNA World Tag Team Championships at TNA Rebellion on April 11, 2026. They will face Cedric Alexander and Bear Bronson of The System at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Betting Odds Favor Oba Femi, Multiple World Title Challengers At WWE WrestleMania 42

Following Monday’s episode of “WWE Raw,” 12 matches have been confirmed for WrestleMania 42, and the betting odds have just been updated for this year’s two-night event.

So far, one of the most difficult matches to predict a winner for has been Oba Femi versus Brock Lesnar, as it’s been reported that “The Beast” doesn’t want to lose at WrestleMania, though fans are eager to watch “The Ruler” pickup the biggest win of his career. Ultimately, WWE CCO Triple H will have the final say in who wins the match, and as the feud continues to be one of the highlights of “Raw,” Femi is a -325 favorite to defeat Lesnar in three weeks. Although many could’ve expected the odds to be closer, Femi has quickly become one of the more popular stars on the red brand, and a win over Lesnar will only continue to elevate him as a main event talent. Additionally, with Lesnar looking to retire later this year, it would make sense that he passes the torch in his final WrestleMania match.

Elsewhere on the card, Roman Reigns is listed as a -300 favorite over CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship, while the odds for the Undisputed WWE Title are closer, with Randy Orton being a -210 favorite over Cody Rhodes. For the women’s title matches, Rhea Ripley is favorited to win the WWE Women’s Championship over Jade Cargill at -325, while Liv Morgan is sitting at a -500 to dethrone Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship. Arguably the tightest odds for the card is the Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship, with Penta being the slight favorite at -175. However, the same cannot be said for the United States Championship, with Trick Williams being a -500 favorite to defeat Sami Zayn.
