AEW’s Will Ospreay Announced For NJPW Return, United Empire Reunion

Following his return to the ring after neck surgery on “AEW Dynamite,” AEW star Will Ospreay’s NJPW return has been announced, and he’ll be reuniting with two members of the United Empire at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

NJPW announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Friday that the “Aerial Assassin” will return at Sakura Genesis in an all-star six man tag team match. Ospreay will team with United Empire co-founder Great-O-Khan and HENARE against Yuya Uemura, Taichi, and El Desperado. Ospreay confirmed the news in a post to his own X account. He posted in Japanese, which was translated via the app.

“The original members of United Empire have reunited for the first time in two years,” Ospreay wrote. “Please cheer me on as I return to my favorite arena in the world of pro wrestling, and above all, to my hometown. Thank you.”

Ospreay will make his return to the NJPW ring for the first time since New Beginning in Osaka in 2024. He previously addressed new United Empire leader Callum Newman at New Year Dash in January, where Ospreay said when he returned, he would follow Newman’s orders. At the time, Ospreay said when he returned to NJPW, it wouldn’t just be a one-off thing.

“The Aerial Assassin” left NJPW in 2024 when he began working full-time for AEW. Ospreay made his return to the company following neck surgery at Revolution, and wrestled his first match since being taken out at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on “Dynamite” against Blake Christian on March 18. He has his sights set on Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, however, after the faction took him out at Forbidden Door, and will officially face Moxley at Dynasty in April.

WWE NXT Viewership & Ratings Report: 3/24/2026

“WWE NXT” is quickly approaching its next major premium live event, Stand & Deliver, on April 4 in St. Louis, and the March 24 episode from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando only saw a slight decrease in viewership from the previous week. The episode saw matches confirmed for “NXT’s” biggest night, including the bout for the NXT Championship.

According to Wrestlenomics, with data from Programming Insider, the March 24 edition of “NXT” drew 581,000 viewers, down just one percent from the previous week’s 588,000 viewers. The show earned a 0.08 in the ever-important ages 18-49 demographic, which was up 14 percent from the previous week’s 0.07 rating.

The episode saw no change compared to the trailing four weeks average viewership of 580,000. Compared to this time last year, in March 2025, “NXT” was down 19 percent, from the average 712,000 viewers. The rating was down a whopping 47 percent compared to last year’s average of 0.15.

The show saw Zaria and Sol Ruca make their presumably feud-ending match official for Stand & Deliver in an emotional in-ring segment. Elsewhere on the episode, a number one contender’s match for Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s Championship was made between Lola Vice and Kendal Grey for next week’s show. “WWE SmackDown” star Johnny Gargano became the number one contender for Myles Borne’s North American Championship when he was revealed to be the surprise entrant in the eliminator gauntlet match, and NXT Champion Joe Hendry’s next defense was also made official for Stand & Deliver. He’ll be facing Ethan Page, Tony D’Angelo, and Ricky Saints in a triple threat match.

WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Update and Discounts Continue

WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Update and Discounts Continue

WWE is continuing its push to fill Allegiant Stadium for WrestleMania 42, with new details confirming additional ticket discounts and updated sales figures for the two-night event in Las Vegas.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE recently launched another round of discounted tickets, offering 25 percent off for both nights of WrestleMania 42. The move is part of a wider effort to increase attendance and ensure a strong crowd for the company’s biggest annual show.

The promotion extends beyond WrestleMania 42 itself. WWE has also applied similar discounts to its full WrestleMania Week schedule. This includes WWE RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, and the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, all receiving price reductions to boost overall ticket sales.

Meltzer detailed the strategy and current figures, stating, “WWE did another sale, this time 25 percent off sale for both nights of WrestleMania this past week in another attempt to boost sales and make sure the place is full, which it will be by the end. It was not only WrestleMania, but the Hall of Fame, Raw and Smackdown all getting a 25 percent off sale, coming a week after a 31.6 percent sale for all of those shows.”

He also shared updated numbers for the surrounding events. “The 25 percent off also included the other events WWE is putting on that week. [These include] Smackdown at 5,810 tickets out which has to be a major disappointment and Raw at 7,305 at T-Mobile Arena, while the Hall of Fame, in a smaller setting, is at 2,183.”

Despite these efforts, WrestleMania 42 ticket sales are still behind last year’s pace. Current estimates show a gap of about 13.3 percent compared to WrestleMania 41. However, the difference has improved after recent discount campaigns.

As of now, Night 1 on April 18 has around 39,866 tickets distributed. Night 2 on April 19 is slightly higher, with about 41,330 tickets out. WWE remains confident that both nights will pass 50,000 attendees before the event.

Meltzer noted, “Right now after the latest sale, WrestleMania in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium has 39,866 for 4/18 and 41,330 for 4/19. They are 13.3 percent behind last year, which is closer than the 18 percent behind they were doing before the two major sales. In the end, they’ll have 50,000 or more in and will announce a number that is about the same if not slightly bigger than last year.”

Another key sign of demand comes from resale prices. Secondary market tickets are currently lower than last year, with entry prices at $205 for Night 1 and $211 for Night 2. Meltzer explained, “The secondary market get in prices of $205 for the first night and $211 for the second night 23.8 percent down from the same period last year, so that’s probably a better measure of the ticket demand.”

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for April 18 and April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kit Wilson Reflects on Advice, Support System, and Elton Prince’s Recovery

Kit Wilson Reflects on Advice, Support System, and Elton Prince’s Recovery

Ahead of his match against Jelly Roll on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Kit Wilson spoke with The Sun about navigating life as a singles competitor while his Pretty Deadly partner, Elton Prince, continues to recover from injury. The interview offered a rare look at Wilson’s support system, the advice he’s received, and how he’s adapting to a new chapter in his career.

Wilson noted that since Prince’s injury, he has made a conscious effort to broaden his connections backstage. He explained that he’s leaned on a variety of people for guidance, but feels a particularly strong bond with fellow NXT UK alumni who understand his journey. Among them, he highlighted Alba Fyre as someone he has connected with on a deeper level due to their shared circumstances.

“I’ve had to spread my wings a bit since Elton Prince got injured, and I talk to everyone,” Wilson said. “I do have a special connection with some of the NXT UK guys. Me and Alba were sitting on the bleachers before SmackDown, hanging out and talking. She’s in a situation with Piper Niven, who has a similar injury situation to Elton, so we’ve got that in common.”

Wilson also revealed a lighter side of his backstage life, mentioning that he and Axiom are starting a book club together, humorously titled “Book Marks.” Beyond that, he credited several main roster veterans for offering valuable advice as he adjusts to performing without Prince by his side.

“I’m getting a lot of advice. The Miz has been a great help. Sami Zayn and The Miz have been really good to pick their brains, get advice, and bounce ideas off,” Wilson shared.

As for Prince’s recovery, Wilson made it clear that progress is steady but the road ahead remains long. “Things are on track. He’s had the surgery, it went well, and he’s hitting the markers as he should be. However, it’s still a long, long, long, long road ahead, if any.”

Wilson added that the two don’t spend much time discussing future plans, choosing instead to take things day by day. “Sometimes things will come up and we’ll talk a bit, but we’re kind of just letting life happen and crossing our fingers.”

With Wilson stepping into singles competition and Prince continuing his rehabilitation, Pretty Deadly’s future remains uncertain — but Wilson’s focus, support network, and optimism suggest he’s determined to make the most of the journey.

Kenny Omega Says AEW Will Always Be Among the Best

Kenny Omega Says AEW Will Always Be Among the Best

Kenny Omega believes All Elite Wrestling will continue to rank among the top wrestling companies in the world, citing the strength and depth of its roster.

Omega is set to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at AEW Dynasty, scheduled for April 12 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The match marks Omega’s opportunity to begin his second reign as champion, having previously held the title from 2020 to 2021.

Speaking with Undisputed ahead of the event, Omega reflected on AEW’s seven-year journey and pointed to key milestones that helped shape the promotion’s identity, including partnerships that brought international wrestling styles to a broader audience.

“There were a lot of great steps along the way,” Omega said. “One that really sticks out is when we reached a point where we had an official partnership with New Japan and CMLL, and we were willing, able, and eager to show the various professional wrestling styles of the world to our American fans and international fans. That was a main goal for me. I wanted people to experience all the different types of professional wrestling.”

Omega acknowledged that not every decision has worked out but emphasized the company’s ability to recover due to its talent pool.

“Very rarely did I feel like we took steps backward. You take pride in your work, so when we did, those were crushing. Not everything works, but wrestling has a circular momentum. So when something didn’t work out, we have the roster to turn it around. That’s the case now more than ever. This is a roster with a dedication to the art and sport of wrestling. That’s why we’ll always be in the conversation of the best professional wrestling company in the world.”

Omega earned his title opportunity by defeating Swerve Strickland in a high-stakes match where his AEW EVP role was also on the line.

Before Dynasty, Omega is also scheduled to compete on Dynamite in his hometown of Winnipeg on April 1. He will team with Brody King and Jack Perry in a trios match against The Opps, featuring Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona.
