Former WCW Star Buff Bagwell Appears On TNA Impact, Wants To Wrestle Again

Former WCW and TNA alum Buff Bagwell returned to the Impact Zone for the first time in 20 years on tonight’s “TNA iMPACT,” and he is remorseful. Greeted by backstage interviewer/commentator Gia Miller, the former five-time WCW World Tag Team Champion apologized in front of fans at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, and those watching from home, for his past behavior before ultimately announcing why he made his surprising appearance tonight.

“It’s been tough,” he began. “For those of you who don’t know, I amputated my leg recently, on July 10, 2025. It was devastating…I’ve got a big apology. I’ve got to apologize to each and every fan out here for my behavior for the last 20 years. There’s been some ups and some downs, but more downs than ups. And I want you to know, if you’ll get behind me just one more time, I will come down this ramp, I will walk down this ramp. I will get in that ring, and I will wrestle for TNA one more time.”

Just as the fans provided an eruption of approval, the former TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian had to ruin it for everyone. Poking fun of Bagwell’s past catchphrase by mentioning that “The Buff is not the stuff” anymore, Elijah joined in and defended Bagwell’s honor. Elijah said he would love nothing more than for the veteran to walk with him when he’s ready.

Turning over a new leaf, Bagwell has had his fair share of rough bargains throughout his career since 1991. From a past broken neck injury to multiple car accidents, addiction, and legal troubles, it seems wrestling fans are looking forward to his future comeback match.

Jeff Hardy To Team With Righteous Member Against The System At TNA Sacrifice 2026

Jeff Hardy will be teaming with Vincent of The Righteous against The System’s Cedric Alexander and Brian Myers at TNA Sacrifice.

During Thursday’s “TNA Impact” a backstage segment aired showing Matt Hardy to have been taken out, and the Righteous stood there claiming that it had to be members of the System when Jeff had asked what happened.

And then in a subsequent backstage segment the Righteous were shown to meet with Director of Authority Santino Marella, reaffirming their belief that the System attacked Matt Hardy and asking for a tag match between Vincent and Jeff Hardy against Alexander and Myers.

The match was made official for Friday night’s Sacrifice event, which will also see Eddie Edwards of the System facing Moose in a grudge match. The Hardys’ TNA World Tag Team titles will not be on the line, ensuring their reign goes beyond 250 days with their last defense coming against the Righteous at Genesis in January.

Colby Covington Reveals Eric Trump, Donald Jr.’s Reaction To UFC White House Omission

Colby Covington revealed Eric and Donald Trump Jr.’s reaction to him missing the UFC Freedom 250 card at the White House in June.

The former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion has long been a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, going against several fighters refusing to visit the White House in 2018 as he brought his belt to the Oval Office.

Covington, however, was nowhere to be found when Dana White announced the card for June’s event on the South Lawn of the White House. And it was something he told “Bloody Elbow” that Eric and Donald Trump Jr. were filling to bat for him over.

“I’ve talked to them extensively about it,” he said. “They’re like, ‘We’d love to help and if you want us to go to our dad we could.’ But they’ve got so much bigger things to focus on. Eric Trump runs the whole organization with all those hotels and Don Jr. is a very busy man.”

Convington continued to say Don Jr. has political aspirations, and might want to be a future president. And the President will be focused on the war with Iran.

“I’m not going to be an egotistical moron and go ‘Me, me, me.’ It’s about us,” he said, going on to explain that he was frustrated by the announcement at first. “I said some things in the media that I probably shouldn’t have said and I shared maybe a few too many details because I got fired up.”

He said that he sat back and thought about if further, coming to the realization that he had already achieved enough by going to the White House with the title belt. Covington will be competing this weekend at Real American Freestyle Wrestling’s RAF 07 against Dillon Danis.

Francis Ngannou Open To Fighting Jake Paul After MVP Netflix Card

Francis Ngannou is open to fighting Jake Paul after their recent back-and-forth, even if it’s not been discussed yet with MVP and Netflix.

Ngannou will be fighting on the MVP MMA card headlined by Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano in May, facing Philipe Lins in his return to action for the first time since 2024.

And MVP, the promotion co-founded by Paul and Nakisa Bidarian in 2021, will be hosting its very first MMA card as the very first MMA event streaming on Netflix. So it is quite the boon to have the never-defeated UFC Heavyweight fighting on the card.

However, Paul is looking at Ngannou for his own fighting career, and has been using the media run-up to the event to make that known. Like when he told Sky Sports that he was looking to fight Ngannou when he returns to a boxing ring, along with the belief he could knock Ngannou out.

Ngannou was asked about Paul’s words during an interview with Ariel Helwani, and he admitted that it was something that would have got underneath his skin a few months back. But not now.

“Jake is just being Jake,” he said. “He has always been like that.”

Helwani pushed, asking if it was something he would be interested in. “I don’t know,” he replied. “If it happens, okay.”

But he clarified, “Not boxing him, kicking his a**.” Helwani asked if that was to mean MMA, and Ngannou left everything rather open. Ultimately, he did confirm he was interested in the fight: “I want to,” he said with a smile.

Though he confirmed afterward that it was not something he had discussed formally with MVP or Netflix, hinging hopes on the first event being ruled a success and making a second possible.

Former UFC Star Alistair Overeem Talks PEDs In MMA, Whether He’s Taken Them

Alistair Overeem opened up on the subject of performance-enhancing drugs and their use in the world of MMA, as well as how UFC’s testing pool worked to cut it down.

The former UFC heavyweight has his very own nickname coined by Japanese fans referring to his physique, “Ubereem,” and color commentator Joe Rogan once called him “saucy as f***” while referring to his time fighting before USADA testing was a thing. He was also pulled from a fight with Junior Dos Santos at UFC 146 in 2012 for a high testosterone-to-epitestoestrone ratio, though he claimed that he was prescribed that medication for a rib injury.

He was asked about his history and perception of PEDs in MMA during an interview with “Uncrowned’s” Tris Dixon, starting with his take on whether it’s “been a big thing.”

“Right now, you saw the testing. So, there’s like a testing protocol that cannot, does not allow PEDs. In that sense, again, UFC has done a great job cleaning up the sport,” he said. “In the beginning of UFC and MMA, I should say, there has been times that has been rampant. Yes, absolutely.”

He was then asked if it was a common thing to ask back then, and he said not really. Which then led to the next question, “Did you ever take the stuff?”

“You want to hear my honest opinion?” He asked, and after being told yes, “I don’t have any comment about myself. Let’s just say that, in my career, I have done what all the fighters at the time were doing. OK?”

He continued, “It just became very clear that in the time of USADA, then it was like eliminated, which again is UFC going mainstream, taking the necessary steps, adding USADA into the mix, which eliminates PED usage.”

Overeem was pressed on whether a fighter could get around the testing pool if they really wanted to. He opted not to answer that question and instead got into what he does to enhance performance. He ranked hyperbaric chambers and ice baths as non-PED ways of enhancing performances, and said if one uses a chamber daily, they will win fights.
