Paul Heyman Rejects Brock Lesnar Retirement Talk After WrestleMania 42

Paul Heyman is pushing back against the growing belief that Brock Lesnar retired at WrestleMania 42, despite the emotional scene that followed his match.

Speaking to TMZ after WrestleMania weekend, Heyman dismissed the idea that Lesnar is finished and made it clear he expects him to continue competing at the highest level.

“What’s my vision? Yeah. Another 15 years of dominance by Brock Lesnar.”

Heyman became visibly frustrated when the topic of retirement continued to come up, questioning why the narrative was being pushed so strongly.

“WHY? WHY are you pushing THIS WHOLE RETIREMENT THING?”

He also addressed online speculation, making it clear he does not give weight to fan opinions or rumors surrounding Lesnar’s future.

“So, you actually you actually read what is what is posted online and take it seriously? This is part of the great political divide in this country, isn’t it? That people actually take seriously irrelevant opinions.”

Heyman ended his remarks by reinforcing that only his perspective matters when it comes to Lesnar.

“There’s only one relevant opinion and it’s mine. And mine is that Brock Lesnar dominates the next 15 years.”

The comments come after a moment at WrestleMania 42 that many interpreted as a retirement. Lesnar faced Oba Femi in the opening match of Night Two and suffered a decisive loss. Femi secured the victory with a chokeslam followed by Fall From Grace, marking the biggest win of his career.

After the match, Lesnar remained in the ring as fans inside Allegiant Stadium chanted in appreciation. He then removed his gloves and boots and placed them in the center of the ring — a gesture long associated with retirement in wrestling.

Heyman later joined Lesnar in the ring, and the two shared an embrace before Lesnar acknowledged the crowd and exited.

While WWE has not officially confirmed Lesnar’s retirement, the visual of him leaving his gear behind led many to believe it was the end of his in-ring career. Heyman’s response now introduces uncertainty, suggesting that the situation may not be as final as it appeared.

As noted, Lesnar’s apparent farewell may not be final, while GUNTHER’s unresolved “favor” from Paul Heyman could become a key element in his retirement storyline.

If Lesnar is finished, the WrestleMania 42 moment will stand as a major closing chapter. If not, Heyman’s comments indicate there could still be more to come.
