Report Details Mixed Backstage Views on Jade Cargill Ahead of WrestleMania 42

WWE continues to position Jade Cargill as one of the top names in the women’s division heading into WrestleMania 42. She remains strongly protected in booking and is presented as a major star on television. However, recent comments suggest not everyone backstage shares the same view.

During a Q&A session, WrestleVotes was asked about Cargill’s reputation in the locker room. He indicated that while WWE management clearly values her, there have been concerns raised among talent.

“As far as the reputation in the locker room, I’ve heard from a couple of different sources that there’s heat there. Not everyone’s favorite talent. She’s still a star — WWE clearly views her as a star. They’re protecting her and not throwing her into situations where she can’t succeed. But… we’ve heard that some talent may not.”

The comments point to a divide between how the company views Cargill and how some peers may feel behind the scenes.

Earlier this year, Sean Ross Sapp addressed similar discussion during a Fightful Select Q&A. He noted that Cargill’s name had surfaced in locker room conversations following several injuries involving opponents. At the same time, he made it clear that there was no confirmed blame placed on her and no reported heat from management or producers.

“Well, Tiffany hasn’t wrestled since a match with her as well. But I want to make it clear—I don’t know if it was specifically spots that Jade did or negligence on her part. I don’t have that information. But it was certainly discussed among talent and has been discussed among talent. I didn’t hear of any specific heat from the office, producers, or anything of that nature. But talent definitely do notice the trend, and it does get talked about in the locker room. Absolutely.”

Despite the reported rumblings, WWE’s on-screen presentation of Cargill remains strong as WrestleMania 42 approaches.
