Ridge Holland Confirms WWE Will Pay for His Neck Fusion Surgery – Luke Menzies, formerly known to WWE fans as Ridge Holland, has confirmed that WWE will pay for his upcoming neck fusion surgery. Menzies shared the news during his appearance on Busted Open Radio, revealing that the procedure is scheduled soon and will sideline him until at least May 2026.
This update provides clarity after weeks of uncertainty surrounding Menzies’ medical and financial status following his WWE release. Last week, a GoFundMe campaign was launched on his behalf to support his family and assist with medical bills. The fundraiser claimed that Menzies was at risk of losing his home and was ineligible for workers’ compensation, leading to widespread concern among fans.
However, on November 9, Menzies released a public statement explaining that the GoFundMe was created by a family member without his knowledge. He stated that he immediately requested for the campaign to be taken down and that any funds raised would be redirected to charity.
Menzies suffered a Lisfranc foot injury in September during an appearance for TNA Wrestling, where he was performing under a WWE talent exchange agreement. At the time, it was unclear who would cover the medical expenses, as his WWE contract was nearing its expiration. His release was finalized just a week before it was due to end, following social media posts where Menzies voiced frustration about his financial situation and feeling “hung out to dry” after being injured.
While the GoFundMe focused on his foot injury, reports had also mentioned that Menzies was facing a potential neck fusion surgery. His confirmation on Busted Open not only verifies the severity of his condition but also reveals that WWE has agreed to handle the medical costs despite his release.
