Roddy Piper’s “They Live” Returning To Theaters For 35th Anniversary – John Carpenter’s classic They Live, starring WWE star Roddy Piper, is returning to theaters for the film’s thirty-fifth anniversary. The film, also featuring Keith David, and Meg Foster, came out in 1988 and it is based on “Eight O’Clock in the Morning” by Ray Nelson.

As AMC Theatres summarized, They Live centers around “aliens who are gaining control of the earth by masquerading as humans and the one man determined to stop them.” This special anniversary event will feature an exclusive intro from director John Carpenter.”

To commemorate the movie’s thirty-fifth anniversary, it is returning to theaters on September 3 and 6 through Fathom Events. The special edition will include an exclusive intro from Carpenter. Advance tickets through AMC are available here.

In addition to his legendary wrestling career, WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper had a remarkable resume as an actor as well. He appeared in a number of films and shows over the years. Some examples include Hell Comes to FrogtownPro Wrestlers vs. Zombies, and Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, among many others.

Piper also appeared in numerous television shows, including It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Cold Case.
