Santana Vs Ortiz Announced for Next Week’s AEW Rampage – As announced during tonight’s episode, former tag team partners Mike Santana and Ortiz are set to collide in a singles match on next week’s AEW Rampage. The announcement comes after weeks of vignettes illustrating the dissolution of their tag team and Santana’s decision to pursue a singles career.

Santana had been sidelined with a torn ACL from June 2022 until his AEW return in August of this year. While they briefly reunited to team up for the Stadium Stampede match at All Out on August 27, Santana later declared his intention to establish himself as a singles star in a video promo during the September 8 Rampage episode.

In the following weeks, video promos featuring Santana and Ortiz aired, reflecting the real-life issues that led to their falling out. As a team, Santana and Ortiz held Tag Team titles in 10 different promotions from 2015 to 2019, including four reigns as Impact World Tag Team Champions. They joined AEW in 2019.

As of now, Santana vs. Ortiz is the only match confirmed for next week’s edition of Rampage.
