Seth Rollins defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of WWE Crown Jewel: Perth to become the new Crown Jewel Champion, ending a brutal and emotionally charged match that featured multiple near falls and high-impact moments.
The bout began with a technical exchange as both men traded holds and reversals before the intensity quickly escalated. Cody gained early control with a delayed gourdbuster and dropkick, sending Rollins to the floor. However, Rollins shifted momentum after slamming Rhodes into the steel steps and striking him with a double stomp to the back. From there, Rollins methodically targeted Cody’s shoulders and neck, taunting the crowd and mocking Rhodes with a Stardust pose.
Rhodes rallied back with a powerslam, a Beautiful Disaster, and a Cody Cutter for a near fall. Rollins responded with a Pedigree and Stomp, nearly putting Cody away. Both men traded counters and finishers — including Rhodes hitting CrossRhodes and Rollins answering with his own version — but neither could secure the win.
The closing moments saw both men fighting on the top rope, where Rhodes connected with a Super CrossRhodes for a dramatic near fall. As the match wore on, Rollins grabbed the watch he had earlier placed in the corner, knocking out the referee before striking Cody with it. Rollins then hit back-to-back Stomps, pinning Rhodes to become the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion.
After the match, Triple H entered the ring to personally present Rollins with the Crown Jewel Championship belt and ring, raising his arm in victory as Rollins celebrated before the crowd. When Cathy Kelley entered to conduct a post-match interview, Rollins took the microphone himself.
He addressed the crowd, saying: “You were going to ask how it feels to get that monkey off my back. It feels better than any of you could imagine. Some of us dream impossible dreams, and some of us have the fortitude to achieve them. Only one man reaches higher than the highest. I am not the greatest of my generation. I am the greatest of all time.”
Stephanie Vaquer then joined Rollins in the ring to celebrate as the new Crown Jewel Champion stood tall to close the event.
