Swerve Strickland Explains Brutal Attack on Kenny Omega – Swerve Strickland addressed his vicious post‑match assault on Kenny Omega during the February 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, standing on the commentary table as he delivered a warning to the entire roster. The promo followed last week’s main event, where Strickland defeated Omega in their first‑ever singles meeting before attacking him with a chain and hitting a vertebreaker through the announcers’ table.
Prince Nana opened the segment by storming over to commentary, ordering the announcers to clear out and calling them “stupid fools” before introducing Strickland. Standing tall on the desk, Strickland asked the crowd if the “sickos” missed him and said he knew many fans enjoyed what he did to Omega—while others didn’t—because that’s what happens when someone’s favorite gets hurt.
Strickland pointed out that AEW reinforced the commentary table this week, drawing loud Kenny chants from the crowd. He made it clear he felt no guilt for last week’s attack. Omega, he said, got in his way on the road back to the AEW World Championship and even had the nerve to call Brody King the most dangerous man in AEW. By beating Omega, Strickland said he kept his word and put him down.
He also noted that Omega is “another EVP” he has taken out and that he wants no part of their problems anymore. Strickland then referenced All In Texas, recalling a conversation with Hangman Adam Page about regret. Page asked if he regretted what he did to reach the World Title. Strickland admitted he once did, but realized that period was the most successful of his career.
From now on, Strickland said, there will be no more regrets. He warned the entire AEW roster that everyone is on notice and that “anyone can get clipped” if he chooses. He closed by reminding the crowd—and the locker room—that he is still the most dangerous man in AEW.
