TNA Slammiversary And AEW Forbidden Door Avoid Direct Clash

TNA Slammiversary 2026 and AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 will not directly compete head-to-head despite both pay-per-views taking place on the same day.

Updated listings on Ticketmaster and the Agganis Arena website show that Slammiversary is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, June 28.

TNA Slammiversary and Forbidden Door schedule

Slammiversary will take place at Agganis Arena in Boston.

Meanwhile, Forbidden Door is set for later that evening at SAP Center in San Jose.

The current start time for Forbidden Door is listed as 7 p.m. Eastern and 4 p.m. Pacific, meaning the two shows will not overlap directly.

While the separation in start times helps avoid direct competition between the promotions, Slammiversary will still face significant sports competition that afternoon due to a FIFA World Cup second-round soccer match airing on the same day.

The scheduling situation arrives during a period of growing tension between TNA Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling.

Over the last month, friction between the companies reportedly increased after TNA pulled several talents from independent wrestling events that were also featuring AEW wrestlers.

During a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, TNA President Carlos Silva accused AEW of attempting to directly compete with TNA in several areas.

Silva claimed AEW had aired programming opposite TNA Impact and also alleged the company attempted to block TNA from running certain venues.

The issues reportedly intensified after an episode of AEW Collision was moved to Thursday night earlier this year due to NCAA March Madness scheduling conflicts, placing the show directly against Impact.

Despite the ongoing tension between the two promotions, fans will now at least be able to watch both major wrestling pay-per-views live on June 28 without having to choose between overlapping main cards.
