TNA Talent Reportedly Exploring WWE Options Amid Delay In New Contract Offers – With TNA Wrestling finalizing its new media rights agreement with AMC, attention has shifted to the company’s roster and the uncertainty surrounding several key contracts.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a number of top TNA names are currently in active discussions with WWE as they wait for new contract proposals from TNA.
The report explains that TNA’s delayed television announcement created a bottleneck in negotiations. Many wrestlers had held off on making decisions in anticipation of the new media deal, expecting that stronger financial offers would follow. “From one person close to the scene, a lot of the talent has been very patiently waiting for the announcement of the television deal because the company has been slow in offering new contracts,” Dave Meltzer wrote. “The belief was they were expecting offers after this deal and the level of those offers now will be something monitored by many.”
The situation mirrors the interest earlier this year surrounding Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry, both of whom appeared on NXT while still under TNA contracts. Meltzer noted that “there are active top TNA wrestlers in discussion with WWE similar to what happened with Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry,” suggesting that cross-promotional interactions continue to influence contract talks.
Meltzer also identified several talents believed to be awaiting new deals from TNA. The list reportedly includes Mike Santana, Mustafa Ali, Jake Something, AJ Francis, Steve Maclin, and Zachary Wentz. Each has become an important part of TNA’s roster, and their futures will be a central focus as the company prepares for its AMC premiere in January 2026.
