TNA Wrestling Reportedly Makes Executive Cuts – According to PWInsider, “a number of departures” occurred due to cutbacks by Anthem management. Among those affected was Dave Sahadi, who served as Creative Director for TNA Wrestling. Sahadi had been with the promotion for 18 years and previously worked as a Creative Director for WWE.
RD Evans, who was head of creative and also a Producer, has also left the company. Reports indicate that Evans’ relationship with TNA had become strained, with one source describing him as “obviously increasingly frustrated.” While some within TNA characterize his departure as a mutual decision, it is commonly believed that Evans chose to leave on his own. His exit occurred before Thursday’s cuts and was considered a separate matter.
In addition to Sahadi and Evans, multiple departures took place within the live events division as part of a “restructuring” effort. The company is currently determining who will oversee live events in the future, as plans beyond the summer have not yet been finalized.
As of Friday morning, TNA has not set a location or venue for the annual Bound For Glory pay-per-view. There may have been additional departures beyond the aforementioned names, but no talents were included in this latest round of cuts.
