Tony Khan Provides Update on Britt Baker’s AEW Status – Tony Khan has offered a new update on former AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., confirming that she remains under contract and expressing optimism about her eventual return to the ring.

Baker has been absent from AEW programming since November 2024, sparking ongoing speculation regarding her future with the company. Despite rumors suggesting she was attempting to leave, Khan has repeatedly denied those claims and reiterated that Baker is still a valued part of the AEW roster.

Speaking with Josh Martinez of Z100 New York this week, Khan emphasized that Baker’s status with AEW has not changed.

“Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. And what a great star Dr. Britt Baker has been, and she is still a fantastic, fantastic wrestling star,” Khan said. “She’s been away from AEW for a while, but still very much with us. And at some point, hopefully soon, I’d love to see Dr. Britt Baker come back.”

Baker, who helped define AEW’s women’s division and became one of the company’s top homegrown stars, has largely stayed off social media during her hiatus. Fans anticipated her return during AEW’s Dynamite taping in her hometown of Pittsburgh last month, but she did not appear, fueling further speculation about her absence.

While there has been no official word on a timetable for her return, Khan’s remarks make it clear that AEW remains hopeful for Baker’s comeback. For now, the former champion continues to be under AEW contract, with her next appearance eagerly awaited by fans.
