While he has been preoccupied with Wes Lee, Joe Gacy, and the NXT North American Championship as of late, Tyler Bate will have his hands full on this week’s episode of “WWE NXT.” Before the black and gold brand heads to Lowell, Massachusetts for NXT Battleground, the “Big Strong Boi” from Dudley, England will face off against Eddy Thorpe, one of the brightest up-and-coming stars in all of NXT. Thorpe, previously known as Karl Fredericks, was trained by the NJPW Dojo and won the 2019 Young Lion Cup, so he’ll present a tough challenge for the inaugural NXT UK Champion ahead of the highly anticipated premium live event.
