Update on Ivar's Injury

Update on Ivar’s Injury – Recently, WWE has announced several injuries among its stars, resulting in changes to planned matches.

On Thursday, WWE confirmed that Ivar was sidelined with an injury. Originally, Ivar was scheduled to face Tyler Bate on WWE Speed next Wednesday and participate in a triple-threat match on WWE NXT next week. However, plans had to be altered, and Gallus’ Joe Coffey replaced Ivar in the NXT match, while Apollo Crews took his place in the WWE Speed match.

WWE wrote Ivar off television this past week on NXT when Gallus attacked him and Wes Lee to close the show. This storyline development led fans to speculate whether Ivar’s absence was due to a legitimate injury.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer clarified the situation, reporting, “He’s just being given time off because he’s been working so hard of late, but it’s nothing serious and just an angle.”

However, the Andrew Sports Medicine social media account revealed that Ivar had undergone spinal surgery.

According to CageMatch.net, Ivar has worked a total of 20 matches this year, with a record of 10 wins and 10 losses. It remains unclear when he will return to WWE television.
