Update on WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Following Pat McAfee Promo

Pat McAfee delivered on his teased “massive surprise” during the April 10 episode of WWE SmackDown, revealing a 25 percent discount on WrestleMania Saturday tickets.

The announcement directly ties into WrestleMania 42 night one, which will be headlined by Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton, with McAfee set to be in Orton’s corner.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the discount led to an increase in ticket movement for night one. A total of 1,265 tickets were sold for WrestleMania Saturday since Friday morning, bringing the overall total to 40,610.

Despite the promotion, WrestleMania Sunday outperformed night one during the same timeframe. Night two moved 1,452 tickets, pushing its total to 42,769, even with McAfee discouraging fans from attending that show during his promo.

Additional discounts remain available for both nights. Promo codes such as “CAESARS” and “REBELS” are currently lowering one-day ticket prices to $153.95, while two-day packages are priced at $307.85 using the same offers.

The WrestleMania 42 ticket sales situation continues to draw attention as the event approaches. As of Friday, April 10, overall sales are reportedly down 19 percent compared to WrestleMania 41.

Ticket pricing has been a major topic in recent months, with criticism coming from both fans and talent. Prices have significantly increased since the WWE-UFC merger in September 2023. CM Punk also addressed the issue during his recent RAW promo, calling for lower prices.

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for April 18 and April 19 at Allegiant Stadium, marking the second consecutive year the event is being held at the venue.
