Update on WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales

WWE is still projecting a strong financial result for WrestleMania 42, even as discussion continues around ticket pricing and overall attendance.

Update on WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales

According to a source cited by Sports Business Journal, ticket sales have increased in recent weeks, with WWE expecting the event to rank among the highest-grossing gates in company history. The report followed a USA Today story that pointed to high ticket prices as a factor behind slower early sales at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Recent data from WrestleTix shows a clear rise in distribution. WrestleMania 42 currently stands at 42,715 tickets for Night 1 and 43,394 for Night 2. At the start of April, those figures were 38,381 and 40,003, marking an increase of more than 7,000 tickets across both nights in roughly two weeks.

Despite that growth, the event is still tracking behind last year’s pace. Dave Meltzer reported that ticket sales are down around 20 percent compared to the same point during the WrestleMania 41 build. He also noted that there was no major surge in sales following the storyline development that brought Pat McAfee into the feud between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

McAfee attempted to boost attendance by promoting a 25 percent discount for Night 1 tickets. However, Night 2 still outperformed Night 1 in sales over that same period, even as McAfee publicly discouraged fans from attending Sunday’s show.

WrestleMania 41 set a record as the highest-grossing event in WWE history, and WrestleMania 42 is taking place in the same venue for the second consecutive year. While the pace of ticket movement has differed, the recent increase suggests that demand is picking up closer to the event.

With continued sales momentum and pricing adjustments being explored, WWE remains confident that WrestleMania 42 will deliver a strong financial outcome, even if overall attendance trends differ from the previous year.
