The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the reason that WWE has chosen to distance themselves from the ongoing dispute between Raw Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy and Impact Wrestling over the rights of the “Broken” gimmick is because WWE doesn’t want to establish any kind of precedent in regards to attempting to purchase gimmicks from other professional wrestling organizations.
The report further states that had WWE truly not been interested in the “Broken” gimmick at all, then Hardy would have been advised to cease pursuing all rights to it, as well as using any mannerisms related to it on
