Video: Young Bucks Discuss Removing AEW’s Kenny Omega & Adam Page From The Elite

Omega has been out of action since December of last year when the former AEW World Champion realized he was dealing with a case of diverticulitis. As of now, there is no timetable for Omega’s return, with AEW CEO Tony Khan recently indicating that he wasn’t sure Omega would be back in time for the company’s upcoming return to Canada in May.

As for Page, he has been very active on AEW TV as of late but is now expected to take some time off. Page competed in a three-way for the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution this past Sunday, and the match saw Page attacking referees before eventually tapping out to champion Samoa Joe. For a time, it was reportedly unclear if Page would be able to perform at Revolution, and the former AEW World Champion will now spend some time away dealing with a personal issue.

While the partnership between Okada and the Young Bucks was a surprise, an alliance between the three makes sense. Okada and the Jackson brothers have been close friends for many years, dating back to their time in TNA Wrestling together in 2010 and 2011. They would later spend a great deal of time together in NJPW as well.

Okada and the Young Bucks are set to make their AEW trios debut later this week on “AEW Collision.” Their opponents for Saturday’s match have yet to be revealed.
