WWE Considering More NXT TV Episodes On The Road In 2026 – NXT could be in line for a noticeable change to its television presentation in 2026, as WWE is reportedly considering filming more episodes of the brand on the road rather than exclusively at the WWE Performance Center. The potential shift would mark a significant evolution for the developmental brand, which has largely remained based in Orlando in recent years.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, internal discussions have taken place about increasing the number of NXT television episodes that are held outside of the Performance Center beginning next year. The main goal behind the possible move is to give NXT talent more experience working in different environments. WWE officials reportedly believe that performing in front of varied crowds across different markets will better prepare wrestlers for eventual transitions to RAW or SmackDown.

By expanding its touring schedule, NXT talent would gain more exposure to unfamiliar audiences, different crowd reactions, and larger venues. Those additional “reps” are viewed internally as an important part of development, especially for performers who are nearing main roster readiness. At present, most NXT episodes are filmed in front of the same consistent crowd in Orlando, which limits that type of experience.

The report also notes that The CW Network, which became NXT’s exclusive broadcast partner in late 2024, is fully supportive of the idea. The network reportedly feels that taking NXT on the road more often could enhance the overall television product and presentation, particularly as the brand continues to establish itself on broadcast television.

Despite the potential increase in touring dates, there are no plans for NXT to fully abandon the Performance Center. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has confirmed that the Performance Center is still expected to remain the primary home base for the brand. Any expansion of road episodes would likely be selective rather than a complete overhaul of how NXT operates week to week.

NXT is currently building toward its first major television special of 2026, New Year’s Evil, which will air live on Tuesday, January 6. The event will feature Oba Femi defending the NXT Championship against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, along with Jacy Jayne defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Kendal Grey.
