WWE Formulating Broadcast Plans for Raw Amidst Gap Between USA Network and Netflix Deals – WWE recently announced a groundbreaking partnership with Netflix, where Monday Night Raw will be exclusively available on the streaming service starting in January 2025. The current broadcasting deal with USA Network for Raw will continue until September 2024, leading to a transition period before the Netflix arrangement takes effect.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Brandon Thurston’s report on WrestleNomics indicates that Raw won’t be airing on the USA Network after the deal concludes later this year. Meltzer mentioned that WWE is currently planning to announce the broadcasting platform for Raw from October 1st through December 31st during this interim period before the Netflix deal begins. The announcement will shed light on where fans can catch Raw in the final months of 2024.
“I guess the unanswered question is what happens to draw after the end of September of this year, because in January, it’s going to Netflix, and at the end of September, the [USA] contract is up. USA Network has told Brandon Thurston that they are not airing it after the end of September. So it’s not like they’ll gonna go three more months on USA. WWE told me that they will make an announcement relatively soon about that. So they have. I guess they have something. What it is, I don’t know. Maybe they’ll go on Netflix early. I’m not really sure.” Meltzer stated.
