WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair Talks Situation Around Hulk Hogan Death, Family & Funeral

Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke Hogan, who had cut ties with her father, was the first to bring to light some mysterious circumstances surrounding her father’s death. Ric Flair further revealed on the podcast that Brooke had written him a letter — which he did not disclose the details of — that made him observe the behavior of certain people at Hogan’s funeral. He also explained why some individuals didn’t attend the funeral.

“His daughter wrote me a letter, so I knew about some stuff that was going on, and I can’t share it with you because I’d be betraying her. I got the letter the day after he died from her, and I was just watching everybody,” he said. “I mean, a lot of people [came], Kid Rock came, I mean, every wrestler — I think there were a lot of wrestlers who should have been there but didn’t come. But that’s, you know, everybody makes their own choices. He wrestled at a time when it was very political, and, you know, you had to stand up for yourself. It wasn’t like now, where it’s, ‘Hey, it’s this way or the highway.’ You had to fight for your position in life, and he did. He made some enemies along the way, and I think those guys didn’t show up.”

Flair said that he noticed the actions of various people at the funeral, but didn’t stay for the celebration that followed. “The Nature Boy” praised Hogan for his generosity, particularly when his late son had to go to rehab, with Hogan lending him money to pay for it.
