WWE Preparing for Seth Rollins' Possible Title Vacancy

WWE Preparing for Seth Rollins’ Possible Title Vacancy – Seth Rollins is reportedly headed for shoulder surgery following the injury that will likely sideline him from in-ring competition and has cast doubt on his immediate WWE future. On Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer confirmed that the operation is certain to take place, though the full extent of the damage remains unknown until doctors begin the procedure.

“He’s having surgery. I mean, that’s 100%,” Meltzer stated. “When they open up, they’ll find out — like, they don’t know all the damage in his shoulder, and they will find out the damage when they open him up, and when they do the surgery, will have an idea.”

Rollins’ recovery timeline is unclear, and whether he will be ready to return in time for WrestleMania next spring remains uncertain. Meltzer explained that WWE officials are hopeful, but the situation is fluid. “I guess the best way to put it is, they hope he’ll be okay for WrestleMania. There’s no way of knowing one way or the other today whether he will be or not,” Meltzer said. He added, “But you know he’s out for months for sure, which we already knew.”

The injury has already impacted WWE’s short-term plans. Rollins’ scheduled World Heavyweight Championship match against CM Punk at the Saturday Night’s Main Event Premium Live Event on November 1 has been scrapped. While Rollins remains the reigning World Heavyweight Champion for now, internal discussions reportedly point toward WWE preparing for the possibility that he may have to vacate the title if his recovery timeline extends too long.

WWE is expected to provide a formal update on Rollins’ condition and championship status during Monday’s episode of RAW. For now, Rollins’ surgery will determine not only how long he’ll be out of action but also whether “The Visionary” can make it back in time for the biggest event of the year — WrestleMania.
