Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso — Family Conference

The show opens inside a conference room where Roman Reigns sits with Jimmy and Jey Uso. Roman says they know everything about him, and they are the only ones he can trust. He wants their input about Jacob Fatu. Roman says he gave everyone two years — and they all waited.

Jimmy says he agrees with Jacob’s mindset. Jacob wants to upgrade his life, but not at Roman’s expense.

Jey says Jacob is dangerous. They saw him get rid of the MFTs. He left them out there for a reason. If Jacob wins, he takes everything. Jey says this can’t be about respect — there have to be consequences.

Roman and Jey say the word together: consequences. Roman says they aren’t doing charity. He’s going to think it over and address it later tonight.

Seth Rollins Calls Out Bron Breakker

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth welcomes everyone to the show and says he has a lot of ground to cover. There is a reason he lost to Gunther at WrestleMania — and it wasn’t because Gunther was the better man. There is a reason Roman Reigns has his title — and it isn’t because Roman pinned him. Both reasons have the same name: Bron Breakker.

Seth says he has nine staples in the back of his head — “you’re welcome” — and tells Bron to come out.

Bron’s music hits and he walks out with Paul Heyman.

Bron steps right into Seth’s face. Seth says he gave Bron everything. He handed it to him on a silver platter. Bron repaid him by taking everything away. Seth says Bron is the reason he had to forfeit the title, the reason he didn’t main‑event WrestleMania, and the reason his hand wasn’t raised. For what? How did it benefit him?

Paul Heyman steps in, asking Bron to move back. He hands Bron the microphone.

Bron says Seth didn’t give him anything. What did Seth ever give him and Reed? Every week, they were Seth’s errand boys, putting out the fires Seth started. Seth had no one and no friends. He needed them to fight all his fights. Seth claims he gave Bron wisdom? Bron says Seth came out every week regurgitating the same tired speech while they stood behind him. Bron says he never needed Seth — they’re standing here because he needed Paul Heyman.

Seth asks Bron if he really needed Paul — “that dried‑up sack of meat?” Seth says Bron just proved everything he’s been saying.

Seth says he wanted to face the best. He called Shawn Michaels to ask who the best in NXT was, and Shawn said Bron Breakker. Last year, Paul asked about bringing Bron under his wing. Seth told him Bron would be the next main‑event, money‑drawing star. Bron has it all. Seth says he’s been here 14 years and seen people from every discipline — Bron is the fastest and most talented he’s ever seen. Everything except the most important thing, Seth says, pointing to his head.

Seth says he knows better than anyone what it’s like to be 28, walking into this company expecting everything. He knows about the hard decisions. Seth tells Bron that when he bets on himself, he succeeds. Every time. It ends with a main event or a title. Bron bet on himself… and got Austin Theory and Logan Paul. He got steaks and “happy endings” from Paul. Seth says Bron isn’t ready.

Bron asks if that’s the narrative Seth is going with. Bron says he was on his way to being a main‑eventer with or without Seth. Seth wants to blame him for losing the title? Seth’s mind can’t handle it, and his shoulder can’t handle having a championship on it anymore. Bron says he took his shot and came up short — but he can sleep at night knowing he lost to the best in the world, not someone who is self‑proclaimed. Seth has done it all. Seth is the very best professional wrestler in the world… at being number two.

Seth calls him “Baby Steiner” and says that was pretty good. Did he come up with that himself, or did he call Big Poppa Pump for the hookup? Seth asks if Bron thinks he’s ready. Backlash is two weeks away. Seth will give him the opportunity to prove it.

Seth says Bron isn’t even number two in his own family.

Backstage Assault on Stephanie Vaquer

Stephanie Vaquer walks through the backstage area — and is immediately met with a punch from Raquel Rodriguez. Roxanne Perez shoves a storage case straight into Vaquer, slamming her back against it.

Liv Morgan steps in close and tells Stephanie that this is her championship.

Penta vs. Rusev — Non‑Title Match

Before the match begins, Ethan Page makes his way to the ring.

Rusev attacks immediately with a knee and forearms to the back. He hits a suplex, then a front‑facelock suplex, and follows with a fallaway slam. Penta fires back with a kick, a thrust kick, and a dropkick. He hits a plancha to the floor, and Page applauds him. Penta has words for Page, allowing Rusev to try a belly‑to‑back suplex, but Penta lands on his feet and hits another thrust kick. Rusev answers with a thrust kick of his own and a uranage.

Rusev targets the back. He drapes Penta in the ropes and kicks him repeatedly. They spill to the floor, and Rusev sends Penta into the ring post. Rusev hot‑shots Penta on the announce table. Penta rebounds with a springboard clothesline and goes for a suicide dive, but Rusev punches him out of the air. Rusev sends Penta into the steps.

Back inside, Rusev kicks Penta in the back and drops elbows. He puts Penta on the turnbuckles and throws punches, but Penta fires back. Rusev tries a superplex, but Penta headbutts him down. Rusev sets for the thrust kick and connects. He stomps the back and tries for the Accolade, but Penta escapes and clings to the ropes. Penta rolls him up and gets the three count.

Rusev attacks Penta immediately. Ethan Page enters the ring, and Rusev demands to know why he’s there — then continues stomping and punching Penta. Penta fires chops at Rusev, but Page hits Penta from behind. They both stomp him down.

Je’Von Evans runs out and hits a springboard clothesline on Page. Penta nails Rusev with a thrust kick. Evans follows with a double‑jump cutter to clear the ring.

Los Americanos Issue a Challenge

The Americanos appear backstage. Grande steps forward and says he will soon compete in one of the most important matches in the history of lucha libre — a mask‑versus‑mask match against El Grande Americano Classico. It will be the biggest fight of his career. He says he must be ready for his life, ready to fight for his name and his colors.

And what better way to prepare than by challenging the biggest lucha libre legend of all time?

Grande says it would be an honor to face Rey Mysterio tonight.

Becky Lynch Issues an Open Challenge

Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring. Becky says she is here tonight, and because of what happened at WrestleMania, a new era has begun. She finally got rid of AJ Lee and ended her horrible title reign. The gold is now around the waist of someone who deserves it — her. She is the first to win four different titles at WrestleMania, the first three‑time Intercontinental Champion, and she has won more WrestleMania matches than any woman. She proved why she is the greatest. That is wonderful, she says — but what happened after the match was even better.

She saw her daughter sitting in the front row. She walked up the ramp with her, and Becky says she had to show her what a real champion is. It’s not about five‑star hotels, private jets, or fancy buses. It’s not about being in the best towns. It’s about being in Laredo, in front of common folk like them. She says she knows what they need and what they want. They want her to be a fighting champion — not against nostalgia acts or underdogs, but against the best.

Becky announces an open challenge to anyone who wants to face her.

Iyo Sky comes out and enters the ring.

Iyo takes the mic and says she accepts.

Becky laughs and asks what exactly Iyo is accepting. She wanted the best of the best — shiny and exciting. Iyo is neither. Becky says Iyo is accepting on behalf of Rhea. Is Rhea coming out again? Becky says she wanted to fight Shawn Michaels, not Marty Jannetty.

Iyo slaps Becky and starts throwing punches. Becky rolls to the floor.

Adam Pearce comes out and asks where Becky thinks she’s going. She made a challenge, and Iyo accepted it.

Becky Lynch vs. Iyo Sky — Intercontinental Championship

Becky attacks Iyo before the referee can even get to the ring.

Becky sends Iyo to the floor, but Iyo blocks a punch and fires back. Iyo sends Becky into the ringside barrier and the apron. Iyo throws Becky into the announce table, then sends her back into the ring as the referee officially starts the match.

Iyo gets a near fall. Becky fires back with kicks in the corner. She hits a suplex and covers for another near fall. Iyo answers with a dropkick and a forearm to the back. Becky whips her into the corner; Iyo tries to float over, but Becky catches her with a kick and another near fall.

Becky lands a forearm and follows with an exploder. Iyo rolls to the floor. Becky hits a baseball slide, then a forearm off the apron. Becky drops a leg for a near fall. They trade forearms in the center of the ring until Iyo snaps off a German suplex.

Becky pulls Iyo off the turnbuckles and levels her with a clothesline for another near fall.

Iyo avoids the uranage, rolls through, and stomps Becky with a double stomp. Becky rolls to the floor. Iyo sets for a dive, but Becky cuts her off with a forearm. Iyo kicks Becky on the apron, then launches into a suicide‑dive sunset‑flip powerbomb on the floor. Both women are down.

Iyo sends Becky back into the ring and covers for a near fall. Iyo goes up top, leaps over Becky, but Becky catches her with a butterfly setup into a cross arm breaker. Iyo rolls her up for a near fall. Iyo transitions into a crossface, but Becky escapes and applies DisArmHer. Iyo counters with another rollup for a near fall. Iyo returns to the crossface, but Becky escapes again. Iyo hits a back heel kick and scores another near fall.

Iyo charges for the double knees, but Becky moves. Iyo sends Becky over the top rope.

Becky pulls Iyo off the apron, but Iyo avoids being thrown into the barricade and instead sends Becky into it. Iyo follows with a crossbody off the barricade. Becky answers with a superplex into a DDT for a near fall.

Becky goes for the uranage, but Iyo counters and gets a near fall. Iyo hits a kick and a butterfly backbreaker for another near fall. Iyo climbs for the moonsault, but Becky stops her. Iyo knocks Becky off with a back elbow, then hits a tornado DDT. Iyo goes to the corner for the moonsault, but Becky gets her feet up. Becky hits the uranage — Iyo kicks out.

Becky climbs the turnbuckles, but Iyo drops her across the top rope. Iyo follows with an Asai moonsault to Becky on the floor. Iyo removes her boot and—

Asuka trips Iyo on the apron. Becky hits the uranage and covers for the three count.

Winner: Becky Lynch

After the match, Asuka drills Iyo with a round kick and locks in the Asuka Lock. Iyo taps even though it isn’t an official match. The referee pulls Asuka off.

Rey Mysterio, Classico & Los Otros Americanos

Rey Mysterio is in the locker room when Classico approaches him. Classico asks Rey if he needs to watch his back on May 30th.

Rey tells him he doesn’t. Rey wants both men to respect lucha libre.

Los Otros Americanos arrive. The Grandes argue, and Rey says he is not choosing sides.

Backstage: Byron Saxton with Jimmy & Jey Uso, Interrupted by LA Knight

Byron Saxton is with Jimmy and Jey Uso. He asks if they have any information about Roman Reigns’ decision.

They say Roman will make his decision when he’s ready.

LA Knight walks in and asks if he heard what he thinks he heard. Knight reminds them that Jey is a former World Champion, and Jimmy has the potential to be a world champion.

Jey tells Knight to stay in his lane. Jimmy says this is family business.

Knight says he can respect that — but when they had power together, that power corrupted. And if that’s the case, then it is his business.

Joe Hendry’s Raw Musical Performance

Joe Hendry makes his way to the ring for his musical performance. Joe says he had a big decision to make, and he wrote a song about it. He announces that he is officially on Raw.

Joe mentions Logan Paul and—

Logan storms out, yelling that Joe can’t fire him. Logan demands to know who Joe even is. He calls the people awful and tells Joe this is his last night on Raw because he made the biggest mistake of his life.

Austin Theory says Joe isn’t seeing things clearly. He and Logan have gold, which makes them the greatest tag team champions. Theory says they are winners.

Joe asks the people if they are winners. Joe disagrees. He says he sees a couple of prime‑time losers.

Logan and Austin start clearing the ring. Theory says this mat belongs to them. They go through everybody — and Joe is in a lucky spot, because they’re about to go through him.

Austin pie‑faces Joe.

Joe does the MEME turn… and punches Theory. Joe runs Logan into the corner, but Theory hits Joe from behind. Logan unloads with punches.

The Street Profits’ music hits. Ford and Dawkins sprint to the ring and go after Logan and Theory. Dawkins sends Logan to the apron, and they hit the Low Down and a neckbreaker combo on Theory. Logan drags Theory to the floor before Ford can follow up.

Joe Hendry then hits a Fosbury Flop over the top rope onto Logan and Theory.

Backstage: Grayson Waller, Adam Pearce & Oba Femi

Grayson Waller complains to Adam Pearce about all the opportunities Pearce keeps giving other people. Waller says he wants an opportunity. He calls Oba “Obarated.”

Oba Femi appears behind Waller. Oba tells Pearce to give Waller an opportunity tonight.

Pearce makes the match official.

Grande sends Rey into the turnbuckles, then hits a hard Irish whip that sends Rey sternum‑first into the corner. Grande clamps on a headlock.

Rey charges for a flying shoulder in the corner, but Grande moves and Rey hits the post. Grande kicks Rey. Rey answers with a back body drop. Grande whips Rey and runs into a boot. Grande punches him. Another Irish whip, another boot from Rey. Rey hits a back elbow and climbs, but Grande hits a forearm to the back and a punch.

Rey whips Grande, Grande floats over, catches Rey out of the corner, and sets for a powerslam — but Rey counters with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Rey tries to send Grande into the ropes, and Grande falls into them awkwardly and gets stuck. Bravo trips Rey while Rayo distracts the referee. Rayo puts a piece of metal into Grande’s mask — but Rey hits a 619 to both Rayo and Grande.

Rey misses a splash. Classico stops Grande from loading the metal into the mask. Rey sends Grande into the ropes again, hits the 619, and follows with a springboard splash for the three count.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

After the match, Rey picks up the metal piece and takes it with him as he leaves. Classico hits a back drop on Grande, and the two start throwing punches. Officials rush in to separate them.

After the match, Oba asks if everyone is feeling good. He says he’s feeling good — but Waller definitely isn’t, and nobody cares about him anyway. Waller did say one thing that was true: there’s no opportunity around here because the champions are tied up.

Oba says he created a solution.

He announces the Oba Femi Open Challenge. Any man who wants to prove himself should stand up. If you want to see how you measure up at the top of the mountain, prove it.

Oba says he will be merciless and unforgiving. You are not stepping in with any man — you are stepping in with the ruler.

Finn put himself before the family — and that is something Liv says she would never do. Liv tells Roxanne she will be in her corner tonight.

Liv asks Roxanne if she trusts her.

Roxanne asks for a second.

Finn Balor steps in and tells Roxanne not to say anything. Finn warns her that she cannot trust Liv or any of them.

Roman Reigns Makes His Decision — Jacob Fatu Forces His Hand

Roman Reigns’ music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Roman says it has been a while since he’s been in Texas, and they love their Tribal Chief. He says they created this title in spite of him — they made it to steal his shine. It never worked. There’s a saying: the title doesn’t make the man, the man makes the title. Roman says he put this championship in the main event of Night Two of WrestleMania. He made it relevant. Now they can be proud of it. They can respect it. They can choose to acknowledge it.

Roman wants some acknowledging.

Jacob Fatu’s music hits and he comes to the ring.

Roman says Fatu is right on cue — perfect timing. He was getting to him. He gave Jacob a week, time to think. He hopes Jacob made the right choice. The choice to unite the family, not divide it.

Jacob says he didn’t need a week. He didn’t need a day. He didn’t need an hour. He knew what he wanted the moment he came out last week. He said he didn’t want the title, but he needed the title. Roman must be stuck in Tribal Chief Land. Jacob says he has grinded and suffered for twelve years. While Roman was running the Bloodline, he was starving. It’s not how you start — it’s how you finish. And he’s standing right in front of Roman. The only person who called him was Solo. Solo gave him the chance.

Roman says Jacob is either confused or dumber than he thought. Solo couldn’t get a cup of coffee delivered to the building. Who does Jacob think runs this place? Roman says he got distracted, but he didn’t forget Jacob. He is the reason Jacob is here. Jacob doesn’t deserve it. He hasn’t earned it. That’s nepotism.

Fatu grabs Roman by the throat and locks in a Tongan Death Grip. Roman hits him with the mic, but Fatu doesn’t let go.

Fatu says it will take everything from Roman.

Fatu picks up the title belt, holds it… and throws it down onto Roman.

Fatu heads up the aisle. Roman takes the mic and says if Jacob wants him at Backlash, he’ll see him there.

Fatu says he’ll see Roman next week.

We go to credits.

–– Here is what’s in store for tonight’s show ––

  • Seth “Freakin” Rollins will open the show
  • Tag Team Match: Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs. The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez)
  • Non-Title Match: Penta vs. Rusev
  • Joe Hendry live in concert
  • Becky Lynch returns to RAW
  • Roman Reigns will respond to Jacob Fatu’s Backlash challenge

Roxanne Perez competes in her hometown tonight as she teams with her Judgment Day ally Raquel Rodriguez to take on Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. Perez and Rodriguez were instrumental in helping Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan defeat new Raw arrival Sol Ruca last week, with the assist coming alongside Ruca’s former best friend turned bitter rival Zaria. With tensions rising across the women’s division, tonight’s tag match adds another layer to the shifting landscape.

Last Monday, Rusev inserted himself into the match between Raw newcomer Ethan Page and Je’Von Evans, helping Page secure the victory. After the bell, Rusev attempted to lock Evans in The Accolade until Penta rushed out to make the save. With Rusev openly eyeing Penta’s Intercontinental Championship, the two collide tonight in a non‑title match that could set the tone for a future showdown.

Fresh off dethroning CM Punk to become the new World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 42 Sunday, Roman Reigns returns to Raw with a major decision to make. Last week, Reigns was confronted by family member Jacob Fatu, who challenged him to a title match at WWE Backlash on May 9. Tonight, Reigns will reveal whether he intends to accept Fatu’s challenge and make his first defense of the newly won championship.

The Street Profits — Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford — made a surprise return last Monday, rushing in to save Seth Rollins from a three‑on‑one assault by World Tag Team Champions Logan Paul and Austin Theory, along with their Vision stablemate Bron Breakker. Breakker ultimately stood tall after spearing Rollins, but Rollins opens tonight’s show with something to say, and The Profits are also advertised to appear.

Additionally, former NXT standout Joe Hendry will perform a live concert for the WWE Universe, bringing his signature presentation to Monday nights. And after reclaiming the Women’s Intercontinental Championship from AJ Lee at WrestleMania 42 Saturday, Becky Lynch is scheduled to appear as well.
