WWE Reportedly Looking To Sign More AAA Lucha Stars

WWE’s acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide could soon lead to more international talent joining the company. According to a new report, WWE is actively exploring additional signings from the Mexican promotion as it builds a stronger pipeline between the two organizations.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is currently working toward signing several AAA wrestlers to full-time deals. As part of the process, the company is also helping arrange work visas so the talents can regularly compete in the United States.

The report notes that WWE officials are closely monitoring AAA performers who are featured in significant roles on television. Those wrestlers are being evaluated as potential candidates for future contracts. The approach suggests that WWE is not simply scouting talent casually but is instead building a structured pathway for select AAA stars to join the roster.

This strategy reflects WWE’s growing relationship with AAA following the company’s acquisition of the promotion. By bringing more lucha talent into the system, WWE could expand the representation of the lucha libre style across its programming.

There have already been signs of crossover between the two promotions. During the 2026 Royal Rumble match, AAA wrestlers Mr. Iguana and La Parka made surprise appearances in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Their involvement during one of WWE’s biggest annual events showed that the company is open to showcasing AAA talent on major stages.

The move also follows WWE’s decision to sign El Hijo del Vikingo to a direct contract. His deal stands out because most AAA wrestlers remain signed under the Mexican holding company Fillip as part of the promotion’s ownership structure.

With WWE now evaluating more AAA performers for potential contracts, the company could soon add additional lucha stars to its roster. If the plan continues moving forward, WWE may strengthen its international talent pool while giving several AAA wrestlers opportunities to perform regularly in the United States.
