We begin with a full look back at WrestleMania — the chaos, the fallout, and the shifting landscape that brings us into tonight’s show.

Danhausen pulls up in a car and drives straight toward Trick Williams and his entourage, greeting them in his usual chaotic fashion.

Jacob Fatu Opens SmackDown

Jacob Fatu makes his way to the ring. He says that on Monday, he told Roman Reigns he wanted him. He told Roman he doesn’t just want the title — he needs that title. Then Roman looked him in the eye and said he wasn’t ready.

Fatu says Roman is right. His entire life, he’s been told he’s never been ready. If Roman truly believes that, then step into this ring and prove it.

Jimmy and Jey Uso make their way to the ring, while we have some bad news: Aleister Black and Zelina have been released.

Jimmy Uso says they heard everything Fatu said on Monday. He tells Fatu he can have all of that and more. Fatu wants the title — but QB1 was on the field and he fumbled. Jimmy tells Fatu not to come at Roman. He’ll eat, he’ll learn, and he’ll level up. Jimmy tells him to run the play with them and join the family.

Jimmy says none of these fools out here are going to give Fatu the lifestyle he wants.

Jey says the problem is it’s too late for any of that. Fatu stepped up. He opened his mouth. Now he’s in the deep end, and they’re going to see if he can swim. If he wants respect from Roman, he needs to walk right up to him, look him in the eye, and get ready for war — because Roman will bring it.

Solo Sikoa’s music hits.

Solo asks if he’s really hearing this. He says Jimmy and Jey are lying to Fatu. Where were they two years ago when nobody wanted him? Solo says he is the one who brought Fatu into WWE.

Solo mocks them — asking if they’re going to teach Fatu how to “Yeet.” He tells Fatu not to listen to them. If he wants to beat Roman… if he wants to be champion… Solo says he can make that happen. Fatu won’t beat Roman on his own — he’ll need an army. And Solo says he has an army.

Tama Tonga takes the mic from Solo.

Tama asks why they’re wasting time. He calls Fatu a lost cause. He says Fatu thinks he’s going to beat Roman? He can’t even beat him.

Fatu superkicks Tama.

Fatu says the only person he should be talking to now is Roman Reigns. And to keep it 100 — if Tama thinks he can’t beat him, then line it up. Fatu vs. Tama Tonga, tonight.

Cathy Kelley With Giulia & Kiana James

Cathy Kelley is backstage with Giulia and Kiana James. Cathy asks Giulia if she feels any pressure heading into tonight. Giulia says this isn’t WrestleMania. Kiana jumps in, saying they’re both upset at the lack of respect they’ve been shown. Even her negotiation skills couldn’t fix that oversight. They’re going to take care of Tiffany.

Giulia says she’s beaten Tiffany before, and she’ll do it again. Kiana suddenly snaps at Cathy, accusing her of making things tense between them.

Tiffany Stratton vs. Giulia — Women’s United States Championship

They lock up and Tiffany immediately floats over multiple times, hitting her back handsprings into a clothesline for a near fall. Giulia answers with an inside cradle for a near fall of her own. She takes Tiffany down into a crucifix for another near fall, and they trade rapid‑fire covers back and forth.

Tiffany goes for the cartwheel Alabama Slam, but Giulia blocks it and snaps her down with a neckbreaker for a near fall. Giulia follows with headbutts. She kicks Tiffany in the head, but Tiffany powers Giulia up and hits a Finlay Slam. Tiffany climbs for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but Giulia crotches her on the top rope.

Giulia dropkicks Tiffany while she’s trapped in the Tree of Woe. She follows with a hanging neckbreaker. Giulia drives knees into Tiffany and sends her back into the ring. Giulia boots her in the back and chokes her against the ropes. She chops Tiffany and slams her face‑first into the mat.

Giulia sets for a curb stomp and connects clean. She covers and gets a near fall.

Giulia stretches Tiffany in the ropes and drills her with a dropkick to the back for a near fall. Tiffany fires a forearm and whips Giulia, but she misses the corner splash. Giulia kicks her in the back and covers for another near fall. Giulia clamps on a rear chinlock. Both women fight to their feet and yank each other down by the hair.

Tiffany rallies with forearms and a pair of clotheslines. She hits the handspring back elbow in the corner, then follows with a handspring cutter for a near fall. Tiffany climbs up top, but Giulia punches her to stop the momentum. Giulia hooks her and delivers a butterfly superplex, scoring another near fall.

Giulia lands a headbutt, but Tiffany slips out of a slam attempt. Kiana James tries to trip Tiffany, but Tiffany grabs her. Giulia swings — Tiffany moves — and Giulia hits Kiana instead. Tiffany rolls Giulia up for a near fall. Tiffany hits the Finlay Slam and climbs for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but Giulia catches her on the landing and locks in the Rings of Saturn. Tiffany rolls her into a near fall to escape.

Tiffany fires forearms and a knee strike. She misses the double stomp, and Giulia nearly steals it with another cover. Giulia hits a running knee and sets for the Northern Lights Bomb, but Tiffany slips free and plants her with an Alabama Slam. Tiffany heads up top again and this time connects clean with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the three count.

Winner: Tiffany Stratton (new champion)

Danhausen Visits The Miz’s House

Earlier this week, Danhausen appeared at The Miz’s home. Miz immediately demanded to know what he was doing there, and Danhausen calmly informed him that he was “cursing the house.”

The scene cuts again — and Danhausen is suddenly in Miz’s pool, floating around as if he lives there.

Tiffany Stratton Celebrates Her Championship Win

Cathy Kelley is on the stage with Tiffany Stratton and congratulates her on becoming the new Women’s United States Champion. Tiffany says it feels amazing to be champion again. She had a stretch of being the runner‑up, but that’s over — she is now the U.S. Champion. Tiffany declares that WWE officially runs on Tiffy Time.

Brie Bella & Paige Address the Crowd

Brie Bella makes her way to the ring with Paige. Brie says it feels incredible to stand in the ring as champions. WrestleMania was special. Even though she couldn’t compete next to her sister, she hopes Nikki returns soon. She was grateful to call a friend she considers a sister — and she welcomes Paige back.

Paige says she’s back, and asks the crowd if they missed her. She mentions she lost her voice, but it was a hell of a week. When Brie called her to have her back, it was the perfect way to come home. She says she’s proud to be back with Brie, and now they’re the tag team champions. It was a rough road to get here, but she’s proud to be home again. They stood in the ring with some of the best competitors — but SmackDown is her house.

Charlotte Flair’s music hits, and she walks out alongside Alexa Bliss. Flair says it’s good to see Paige back. Alexa adds that it’s good even though Paige pinned her at WrestleMania. Flair says Brie and Paige have something she and Alexa want. Alexa says they’re not going to let one WrestleMania moment get in the way of that.

Flair tells Paige that if she wants to prove this is her house, there’s no better way than to face them.

Paige says she’s down if Brie is down. Brie says she’s absolutely down — and they should do it tonight.

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Brie Bella & Paige — WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

The match is already underway as Brie nails Alexa with a knee and follows with a neckbreaker. Brie rolls Alexa into a sunset flip, but Alexa rolls through and hits a dropkick. Flair tags in and unloads with chops on Brie. Paige steps in, drawn by Flair’s taunting, but Flair and Alexa don’t capitalize on the distraction.

Flair hits a fallaway slam, but Brie kicks her away. Brie fires a back elbow, but Flair answers with a kick in the corner. Flair goes for the knee drop across the leg in the ropes but misses. She keeps Brie from tagging, but Brie lands an enzuigiri.

Jacy Jayne suddenly pulls Paige off the apron and slams her into the ring steps.

The referee calls for the bell.

Winners by DQ: Brie Bella & Paige

Post‑Match Chaos — Fatal Influence Arrives

After the bell, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid hit the ring and join the attack. Jacy kicks Paige to the floor. Lainey and Fallon lift Alexa and drill her with a double Ragnarok.

With this interference, Fatal Influence officially make their main roster debut.

Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of the WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania 42, coming to you from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

WrestleMania weekend has come and gone, and with Monday’s Raw setting the tone for a new season, the road now leads to WWE Backlash on May 9 in Tampa, Florida. And speaking of Raw and Backlash, Jacob Fatu returns to the blue brand tonight after confronting Roman Reigns on Monday and issuing a challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship in Tampa.

Reigns was heard telling Jimmy Uso to “talk some sense into him” as Raw went off the air, leaving Fatu with a choice: withdraw the challenge next Monday or move forward and deal with whatever consequences Reigns has in mind.

Rhea Ripley will also follow up on her Raw appearance. After teaming with Iyo Sky to defeat the Kabuki Warriors and delivering her farewells to the red brand, Ripley now arrives on SmackDown as the new WWE Women’s Champion, having dethroned Jade Cargill at WrestleMania.

Trick Williams is set for his first SmackDown appearance since capturing the United States Championship from Sami Zayn, and he’ll be accompanied by Lil Yachty. Paige will also appear for the first time since winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Brie Bella at WrestleMania, stepping in for Nikki Bella during the match.

A championship will be on the line tonight as well. After defeating Jordynne Grace last Friday, Tiffany Stratton officially earned her shot at Giulia’s Women’s United States Championship, and that match takes place on tonight’s broadcast.

SmackDown begins at 8 PM ET, airing on USA Network in the United States and streaming internationally on Netflix.
