AEW Fairway to Hell Results – Welcome to Wrestlingattitude.com’s results of AEW’s first-ever Fairway to Hell one hour special on TBS, live from West Palm Beach, Florida on May 9.
AEW National Championship: Jack Perry vs. Mark Davis (w/ Don Callis)
Jack Perry countered a powerbomb immediately with a hurricanrana, landing on his feet after missing a moonsault back into the ring. Davis rolled to the floor, so Perry followed with a moonsault to the outside. Perry hit a shotgun dropkick on the floor and went for his Tiger Feint Kick around the ring post, but Davis cut him off with a clothesline that sent Perry crashing to the ground.
Davis dragged Perry back inside and unloaded with heavy strikes that kept the champion grounded. A shoulder tackle on the apron nearly sent Perry into the guardrail. Davis controlled the pace through the break — even with the accidental production countdown airing on MyAEW.
Perry fired back with a flying forearm that only brought Davis to a knee. Davis caught him charging with a back elbow, then placed Perry on the top rope for a superplex. Perry bit his way free and hit a sunset flip powerbomb for a count of two.
Both men fought onto the apron, where Perry hit a middle‑rope hurricanrana to the floor. He followed with the Tiger Feint Kick around the post — Schiavone calling it the Area Code Kick — then a flying elbow off the top for another two count. Perry charged again, but Davis spun and crushed him with a lariat.
Davis hit another lariat and a piledriver for a close call, but Perry kicked out. Davis tried to piledrive Perry off the middle rope, but Perry sat up and countered with a hurricanrana that sent Davis back into the ring.
That’s when Don Callis jumped onto the apron to distract the referee. Ricochet sprinted out — in full golf gear — wielding a golden golf club. He cracked Perry across the back with it. As the referee turned around, all he saw was Davis hitting the piledriver and making the cover.
Winner and NEW AEW National Champion: Mark Davis
A hype package aired spotlighting Nick Wayne and his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Best of the Super Juniors. This year, he’s chasing the same legacy carved out by Will Ospreay and Ricochet — aiming to join the list of tournament winners. Strong presentation, strong delivery, and a clear elevation of Wayne’s trajectory.
Backstage
Backstage, Jack Perry addressed the AEW National Championship loss. He said Don Callis and Ricochet stole the title he fought so hard to win — and one he was proud to capture in front of his family. Perry vowed revenge and announced he would join Chris Jericho against the Callis Family and Ricochet. He added that the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega would also be joining the fight, putting the Callis Family on notice.
Backstage
Don Callis responded backstage with Mark Davis and Ricochet, calling Perry’s announcement the greatest gift he could have asked for. Now he gets to unleash his men on Jericho and Omega in the same match. Callis confirmed he will join Ricochet and the Gates of Agony in Stadium Stampede, and he’ll negotiate with Ricochet on which additional members will round out the team.
Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) vs. Ruthie Slay & Rachel Lay — 5‑Minute Challenge
Divine Dominion wasted no time. Lena Kross opened by mauling both Lay and Slay before tagging in Megan Bayne. Bayne hit a German suplex on Lay. Slay blind‑tagged in and tried a crossbody, but Bayne caught her effortlessly — hitting a Samoan drop on Lay and a fallaway slam on Slay in one motion.
Kross re‑entered, and the two hit Divine Intervention to finish the challenge well within the five‑minute window.
Winners: Divine Dominion
Mike Bailey (w/ Kevin Knight) vs. Kiran Grey
Mike Bailey came out firing, kicking Kiran Grey around the ring before hitting a triangle moonsault to the floor. Bailey climbed the ropes again, but Grey cut him off. Bailey shoved him down, only for Grey to pop right back up and land several strikes on the ropes.
Bailey recovered, knocked Grey off balance, and hit Ultima Weapon to score the pin.
Winner: Mike Bailey
– Kevin Knight grabbed a mic after Bailey’s match and told the crowd that Bailey was red hot, and even though Knight didn’t win the world title, he and Bailey could still climb to the top together.
– A hype video followed for PAC and Darby Allin — sharp, intense, and exactly the kind of presentation that elevates a main event.
Darby Allin vs. PAC for the AEW World Championship
Darby Allin and PAC didn’t waste a second, sprinting up the golf green in this wild Fairway to Hell setting. Darby hit a code red into the sand trap, drawing a big reaction, then followed with a running shotgun dropkick that sent PAC flipping into another trap. PAC answered by throwing sand in Darby’s face and hitting a belly‑to‑belly into the sand before locking on the Brutalizer. Schiavone reminded viewers that while there were no countouts, the finish still had to happen in the ring — not that PAC cared, as he focused on softening Darby up.
PAC gorilla‑pressed Darby and dumped him into the sand trap as they went to break. Back in the ring, PAC scored a two count. He hit the ropes for a lariat, but Darby swept him down and applied a Scorpion Death Lock for a two count. PAC cut him off again and hit a massive top‑rope falcon arrow for another two. He set up a table outside and went for a shooting star press, but Darby moved and PAC crashed face‑first through the wood. Darby dragged him back inside and locked on the Scorpion Death Lock, with PAC barely reaching the ropes.
PAC called for the Death Riders, distracting Darby long enough for PAC to strike from behind. He ordered Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta to set up another table. PAC then picked up Darby and hit a tombstone piledriver on the steel steps. With Darby limp, PAC carried him backstage as Yuta and Garcia stacked four tables in the entryway. Marina Shafir appeared, silently observing as PAC dragged Darby up the stairs and over the announce area.
PAC hauled Darby to the balcony above the tables and prepared to throw him off. Darby fought back, but Shafir distracted the referee, allowing PAC to land a low blow. PAC then launched Darby off the balcony through all four tables — an insane crash that drew a huge reaction. PAC sprinted down the stairs, threw Darby into the ring, and covered, but Darby kicked out at two. The crowd erupted.
The Death Riders tried to interfere again, and the referee finally threw them out. As he dealt with Yuta and Garcia, Shafir slipped the world title to PAC. PAC wound up to strike, but Darby fired up, kicked PAC low in return, blasted him with the title, and hit the Coffin Drop for the pin.
Winner: Darby Allin
