Newly crowned IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega has released a statement on his official Twitter account apologizing for “leaked” private images of himself which are circulating the internet. It should be noted that while there are personal images of the NJPW star online, they were intentionally put out by Omega as part of an ongoing joke. The statement he tweeted reads as follows: 

“I would like to apologize to all BTE fans, my family, and friends for private DM’s that were distributed without my consent. #BeingTheElite”
