But as for how thinks Strickland sees horror, he looks beyond famous villains like Freddy Kruger, Michael Myers, and Frankenstein’s Monster, and looks for a sense of realism. “Horror is the actual fear of what could happen,” Strickland said. “It’s being put in uncomfortable positions and you can’t do anything about it, and you just have to sit there and watch.”
