Jacy Jayne Push Accelerates As WWE Adjusts Creative Plans After SmackDown Debut

Jacy Jayne’s early run on WWE’s main roster is already leading to internal changes, with new details indicating that creative plans in the women’s division are being adjusted following strong crowd reactions.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, multiple people involved in the creative process have said plans have been rearranged to feature Jayne more prominently. While specific changes have not been outlined, the internal response to her first few appearances has reportedly placed her on a faster trajectory than originally planned.

Jayne, a former two-time NXT Women’s Champion and former TNA Knockouts World Champion, has been positioned against top-level competition immediately following her call-up as part of the Fatal Influence faction. Alongside Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, Jayne has been featured heavily across the last three weeks of SmackDown.

Her main roster debut took place on the April 24 episode of SmackDown. Fatal Influence interrupted the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match involving champions Brie Bella and Paige, as well as challengers Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Later in the show, Jayne faced WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley in an impromptu non-title match, which ended in disqualification after Henley and Reid interfered.

Momentum continued to build on the May 1 episode of SmackDown, where Jayne scored a major singles victory over Charlotte Flair. The win came after Henley disrupted Flair’s Figure Eight submission, allowing Jayne to capitalize and secure the result with her Rolling Encore finisher.

The following week, on May 8, Fatal Influence picked up another significant win in a six-woman tag team match. Jayne, Henley, and Reid defeated Ripley, Flair, and Bliss, with Jayne pinning Bliss after outside distractions shifted the momentum. That same segment also featured Jade Cargill aligning with B-Fab and Michin, as they attacked the opposing team at ringside.

Fatal Influence was originally formed in NXT in July 2024, with Jazmyn Nyx as part of the group before being replaced in the current lineup. During her time in NXT, Jayne held the NXT Women’s Championship twice, accumulating a combined 288 days across both reigns.

Her transition to the main roster was confirmed following her final NXT match at NXT Revenge, where she competed in a triple threat against Lola Vice. Based on early reactions and internal feedback, Jayne’s role on SmackDown appears to be expanding quickly as WWE continues to adjust its creative direction.
