Tony D’Angelo said these guys didn’t want to wait — so he wasn’t going to wait either. Tony charged straight at Tavion Heights, and the two immediately started brawling. Officials rushed in to pull them apart as they kept swinging, refusing to back down.

Jaida Parker vs. Kali Armstrong

Before the bell even rang, Jaida Parker and Kali Armstrong had to be separated. They exchanged words, shoved each other, and the tension carried straight into the opening lock‑up. Kali talked trash, but Jaida answered with a rapid series of waist‑lock takedowns. Kali countered with an arm drag, but Jaida rolled through into a reverse chinlock, then transitioned to a front facelock. Kali broke free with a snap mare and an elbow drop. Jaida returned to the reverse chinlock, then fired elbows, but Kali caught her with a kick in the corner.

Jaida hit another arm drag and a shoulder tackle, then followed with a suplex for a near fall. She clotheslined Kali over the top rope and went for a baseball slide, but Kali stopped her. Jaida sent Kali into the apron and kicked her from the apron. Both women re‑entered and collided with simultaneous clotheslines, leaving them down.

They rose and traded forearms. Kali hit a kick, a punch, and uppercuts to the arm. She applied an arm‑wringer for a near fall, then another arm‑wringer for another two count. Jaida fought back with a back elbow, but Kali drove shoulders into her in the corner. Kali missed a splash, and Jaida rolled her up for a near fall. Kali hit a kick. Jaida answered with a back elbow for another near fall. Kali backed into the corner to avoid Jaida, then pulled her into a side headlock and took her down twice. Jaida punched her way out and hit a forearm in the corner.

Kali whipped Jaida hard into the opposite corner — then dropped to the mat to do push‑ups instead of capitalizing. She charged and ran into a boot, spilling to the floor. Kali recovered and dropped Jaida throat‑first across the top rope.

Kali hit a springboard crossbody and rolled through, then peppered Jaida with jabs before kicking her in the leg and the head. She followed with knee drops and a scissors knee drop, then drove shoulders into Jaida in the corner. Jaida slapped her, but Kali answered with another kick. Kali hit a knee, but Jaida countered with a shoulder to the knee. Jaida followed with a back body drop and a kick. She draped Kali in the ropes and hit the springboard seated splash.

Kali fired back with a kick, but Jaida rocked her with a forearm. Kali answered with punches and elbows. Jaida hit a back elbow and lifted Kali onto her shoulders, but Kali raked the eyes to escape. Jaida avoided a rollup, but Kali planted her with a powerslam. Kali then charged and hit a flying shoulder tackle, keeping Jaida down for the three count.

Winner: Kali Armstrong

Backstage — Tony D’Angelo & Robert Stone

We went to Birthright, where Lexis King said what happened last week was a travesty. He and the group recapped the embarrassment they suffered. Fit Finlay walked in and told them they were supposed to uphold tradition — not get outdone by gamers.

Finlay put William Regal on the phone. Regal said last week was a disappointment, and because of it, he had sent Charlie back to the Snake Pit to train. Regal then informed them they would have a six‑man tag match next week.

– We looked at the first challenger stepping up to Tony D’Angelo — the man formerly known as EVIL. He said he made his name in his home country, facing and beating many great competitors. He won many titles, but the soul of a warrior is never satisfied. With NXT entering a great moment, he said he is ready to strike.

He told Tony that he sits at the top of NXT with the biggest prize, and that prize is one he wants. He clarified that he didn’t present Tony with a gift — he presented him with a proclamation. One day, they will battle for the title. It is written in the rising sun. He revealed his new name: Naraku, and announced he will debut next week.

Jasper Troy vs. Jackson Drake

Troy immediately sent a charging Jackson Drake into the corner, unloading with punches and shoulder thrusts. He hit a shoulder tackle and waited for Drake to rise, but Drake slipped out of a powerslam attempt and kicked him. Drake landed an enzuigiri. Troy blocked an Irish whip, but Drake used a burst of gymnastics into a running body block. Troy became distracted, allowing Drake to hit a Meteora. Drake choked Troy in the corner, then hit a corner dropkick and followed with more kicks. He choked Troy over the apron and dropped a knee on the edge of the ring. Drake hit another corner dropkick and tried to lift Troy, but couldn’t. Troy answered with an elbow to the back of the head.

Drake dropped Troy on the top rope, then dropped down, sending Troy crashing to the floor. Drake hit a suicide dive, but Troy caught him — Drake slipped free and sent Troy into the ring post, then hit a second suicide dive. Back inside, Drake hit a handspring cutter for a near fall. He followed with a dropkick and a rear chinlock. Troy powered up with Drake on his back but collapsed. Drake struck him in the back, and the referee checked on Troy. Drake hammered elbows into the clavicle and applied a sleeper. Troy backed Drake into the corner to break it, but Drake kept kicking him. Troy fired back with a punch and a double sledge, then ran Drake into the corner.

Drake flipped out of the corner, but Troy caught him on a crossbody attempt. Drake countered into a tornado DDT. Drake went up top, but Troy stood back up, shocking him. Troy caught Drake off the turnbuckles and delivered a chokeslam. He followed with a back senton, sending Drake rolling to the floor. Troy eventually went over the top rope to the outside. He punched Ricky and Drake, then threw Brad into the ring. Alaqua slammed Troy, and Drake followed with a 450 splash to score the three count.

Winner: Jackson Drake

Tristan Angels

Tristan Angels said the winds of change had arrived in NXT. He reminded everyone he was a seventh‑generation sheepherder, but he was destined for far more. At just 22 years old, his name had already become synonymous with fame. When it came to winning and achieving, he said he had a sixth sense — something very different from the North American Champion, who “doesn’t even have five.”

Tristan said he didn’t need to attack people from behind like Cam Hendrix, or behave like Shiloh Hill, or Hank and Tank. He declared himself the star everyone was looking for — and the one capable of carrying that burden.

NXT Origins — Rhea Ripley

We returned with an NXT Origins feature on Rhea Ripley. She said she was very shy growing up, and after a year in the United States, she realized she needed to change things up. What works for others doesn’t always work for you, and she felt she was going nowhere trying to present a fake version of herself. Becoming the first NXT UK Women’s Champion was insane, and that moment led her to becoming the NXT Women’s Champion — a title run that meant the world to her.

Rhea said the most important lesson she learned was to live through the person she was meant to be and let that version of herself come through on screen. Through her time in NXT, she learned about the business — and she learned who she truly is.

In‑Ring — Zaria, Tatum Paxley, Lizzy Rain & Nikkita Lyons

Zaria made her way to the ring. She said NXT felt different — there was a change in the air, and now it could be anyone’s game. For the first time, she was standing in the middle of the women’s division with no one holding her back. No dead weight. No fake friends. She said she was starting to realize this was how it always needed to be: her… Zaria… alone.

She said she now had a clear path back to what started everything — what came between her and Sol — the Women’s North American Championship. Some believed that title destroyed everything, but she said that title finally woke her up. When you spend so much time around it, holding it and defending it, it starts to feel like it should be yours.

Tatum Paxley interrupted. She said she understood that the title didn’t just fracture Zaria’s relationship with Sol — it shattered it. And it had nothing to do with her. Now Zaria was trying to figure out who she was on her own. Tatum said if Zaria came after her for the title, it wouldn’t matter if she scorched the Earth. Tatum had ruined friendships before.

Lizzy Rain came out next. She told Zaria and Tatum they were right — NXT felt different, and it was anyone’s game. She said she was the new blood in the locker room, and that’s why she wouldn’t mind joining in. She was the talk of the town last week. The lineage of the title was iconic, and how fitting would it be if some heavy metal was added to it.

Nikkita Lyons made her way out. She said Lizzy was the talk of the town — that was the Nikkita Lyons Rub. All she heard was the new flavor of the month shooting way over her head. Social media might love her now, but Nikkita had seen plenty come and go.

Tatum said if anyone wanted a title match— Nikkita cut her off, saying she wasn’t done. She didn’t know why Lizzy had eyes on the title when she wasn’t done with Lizzy.

Nikkita swung and missed with a kick, and Zaria took her out. Zaria then planted Tatum with an F5.

Backstage — Vanity Project, Romeo Moreno & Noam Dar

Vanity Project were in the back when Romeo Moreno introduced himself. Brad said this was just what they needed — more new people. Noam Dar walked in, and Jackson said Dar used to be a big deal ten years ago. Dar said he was back, and it was time to shake things up. He challenged Jackson Drake to a match next week and said Drake’s boys were welcome to watch.

Myka said they were with her. Drake said if Myka wanted to watch, he was in. Romeo welcomed Noam back.

– Hendrix blindsided Tony D’Angelo in the champions hallway, jumping him without warning.

The show cuts to a commercial break. We will be back for more NXT results for May 5, 2026.

Backstage

Robert Stone was in the back on the headset, relaying instructions. He told the crew that Tony D’Angelo vs. Tavion Heights was not happening now. Instead, the mixed tag match was up next.

Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana vs. Izzi Dame & Niko Vance — Non‑Title Match

The men started things off, with Niko Vance sending Mr. Iguana to the mat. Iguana grabbed a waist lock, but Niko bowled him over with a shoulder tackle, leaving Iguana frozen on the canvas. Niko lifted him again, but Iguana slipped into a sleeper and transitioned into a modified Rings of Saturn. Niko powered out into a Gory Special, and Lola handed Iguana Yesca for support. Iguana hit an arm drag and a crossbody. Shawn Spears grabbed the puppet, but Iguana snatched it back. Izzi Dame tagged in, and Lola unloaded with punches and kicks. Lola missed a boot in the corner, and Izzi drilled her with a clothesline.

Izzi followed with a European uppercut and a forearm, then slammed Lola for a near fall. She whipped Lola into the corner and drove a shoulder into her. Lola fired back with a kick and rolled Izzi up for a near fall.

–– Here is what’s in store for tonight’s show ––

  • Jasper Troy vs. Jackson Drake (w/ Ricky Smokes & Brad Baylor).
  • Kali Armstrong vs. Jaida Parker.
  • Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice vs. The Culling (Izzi Dame & Niko Vance) (w/ Shawn Spears).
  • Zaria to appear

NXT Preview – May 5, 2026

NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice teams with her AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship partner Mr. Iguana tonight as they take on Izzi Dame and Niko Vance of The Culling. Dame and Vance tried to blindside Vice last Tuesday after she called Dame out, but Vice came prepared — Mr. Iguana emerged from under the ring to neutralize Vance while Vice handled Dame herself. Tonight, the two sides meet officially, and The Culling will be looking for payback.

Jaida Parker returns to NXT competition for the first time since falling to Kelani Jordan at Week One of the NXT Revenge special on April 14. She faces former EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong in their first televised singles encounter. The two crossed paths in a heated locker‑room exchange last Tuesday, surrounded by several members of the women’s division, and neither backed down. Tonight, the talking stops.

Although Sol Ruca officially joined the Raw roster last Monday, her final NXT moment came at Week Two of NXT Revenge, where Zaria defeated her in a brutal Last Woman Standing Match by sending her crashing off a high platform through a table. With that decisive victory behind her, Zaria appears tonight with something to say — and given her momentum, the women’s division will be listening.

In singles action, Jasper Troy goes one‑on‑one with Vanity Project’s Jackson Drake. Drake, along with NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, scored a win over Troy, Hank Walker, and Tank Ledger at an NXT Live Event on May 1. Tonight marks the next chapter in that rivalry as Troy looks to even the score.
