Matt Hardy Believes Dark Side Of The Ring Is Entering Its Final Season

In the six seasons that “Dark Side of the Ring” has been on air, it has been informative, thought provoking, and sometimes heartbreaking. For some of the subjects involved, the show has been a source of controversy, especially for those who want to keep wrestling’s underbelly hidden. The show’s seventh season premieres next month with a three-part series on TNA Wrestling.

While Jeff Jarrett was involved with the telling of TNA’s story, Matt Hardy is another wrestler who was involved. On “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy”, Hardy spoke about the show. He revealed that he and his brother, Jeff, were interviewed for a couple of hours. “We talk about Jeff Jarrett and our entire history with him.” Hardy said they also discuss leaving TNA for WWE. He also said that Jarrett believes season seven will be the final season. “He said more than likely the last season of ‘Dark Side of the Ring’. They have some new endeavors they want to try.” Jarrett said the episodes about TNA will be a “redemption story” for both TNA and himself. Hardy also says it’s the most star-studded episode that there’s ever been. “They were going over the list and it’s wild.”

“Dark Side of the Ring” premieres on July 7 on VICE. Two episodes will air back-to-back and then part three of TNA’s story will air the following week. It will be back to one episode per week after July 7.

WWE Star Danhausen Documents Trip To NBA Finals As Knicks Drop Game 3 To Spurs

As the New York Knicks have made their way to the NBA Finals, WWE star Danhausen has become a symbol of their good fortune, thanks to him uncursing both the Knicks and ESPN personality/Knicks fan Stephen A. Smith weeks ago. That notoriety has gotten Danhausen into Madison Square Garden for Knicks games, including Game 3 of the NBA Finals last night, a journey which Danhausen, and his friends at Fanatics and ESPN, documented on Instagram.

In the first post, by Fanatics, Danhausen merch was seen outside of Madison Square Garden, with several fans being given a Danhausen mask equipped with a Knicks hat before posing for a photo. The second post by NBA on ESPN showed Danhausen’s appearance during “Hoop Streams,” where he chatted it up with former Knicks players Jeremy Linn and Iman Shumpert. The final two posts came directly from Danhausen, showing he had met with Knicks fans Ben Stiller and rapper Cardi B, who performed prior to the game.

Overall, it would seem like a great night for the very nice, very evil WWE star, with one exception; the Knicks lost, falling to the San Antonio Spurs 115-111, thanks to a 32 point game by Spurs star Victor Wembanyama. The loss not only reduced the Knicks series lead from 2-0 to 2-1, but was also the first loss the team had suffered since April 23, when they dropped Game 3 of their first round series against the Atlanta Hawks. Shortly after the game, Danhausen took to X in an humorous attempt to absolve himself over any potential blame Knicks fans could lay on him following the defeat.

Former Producer Road Dogg Says WWE Doesn’t View AEW As Competition But It Should

Road Dogg’s WWE exit in March 2026 caught a lot of people off guard as the WWE Hall of Famer had only been made the lead writer of “WWE SmackDown” one year earlier. Road Dogg would go on to open up about the reasoning behind his exit shortly after by saying the company was moving too fast for him, but he has since opened up even more about life in behind the scenes in WWE, and was recently asked about WWE’s perception of their biggest rivals, AEW.

During a recent appearance on “Busted Open Radio,” Road Dogg was asked if WWE ever looked at AEW as a legitimate competitor, or if the powers that be in WWE dismissed Tony Khan’s promotion as just another entity who they didn’t need to worry about. Road Dogg explained that people in WWE did have much more of the latter mindset, which in hindsight may have been a mistake.

“No we didn’t, and we probably should have to be quite honest with you,” Road Dogg said. “Instead, I think it was looked at like ‘Oh that’s this other little money mark’s company,’ you know what I mean? I honestly think that’s how it was kind of looked at, and I would argue however long we are into their tenure, that was wrong to be looking at it that way. They’re here, they’re still here, they’re still strong, I would argue they’re getting stronger, I would argue adding Mike Mansury to their team who runs their truck now was a huge step in the right direction. He’s a smart guy with good instincts, and there’s more than just two guys and a referee when running a wrestling show, you’ve got to have guys with good instincts.”

AJ Styles Hopes WWE Will Capitalize On Success Of El Grande Americano Storyline

In addition to Styles wanting to see Gable featured in a prominent role on WWE’s weekly programming, he also believes that AAA needs to capitalize on El Grande Americano’s victory at Noche de Los Grandes and have him defeat Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship.

“I think we’ve got to because now so many people are so behind El Grande Americano based on everything that he’s done to show them, hey, I’m one of you guys now. They want it. Give it to ’em. Sometimes you want to play a story where you’re telling people that this guy’s gonna win and he doesn’t. I don’t think that’s one of these stories. I think they say this is our guy. This is our champion. All you have to do is give us what we want.”

Styles also said that he’s proud of both Gable and Kaiser for their work under the mask, explaining that the storytelling both during and in the lead up to their clash at Noche de Los Grandes is what led to an “unbelievable, awesome match.”

Sareee Offers Neck Injury Update, May Be Replaced In AEW Dynamite Tournament Match

The annual Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament is well underway, but has had some setbacks on the women’s side. When the brackets were first announced, Persephone was waiting to be cleared from being misted in the eye (in reality, it was due to a legitimate injury). Willow Nightingale announced that she had a shoulder injury and not only had to forfeit the tournament, but also had to vacate the TBS Championship. Meanwhile, Sareee announced that she was having some issues with her neck, and a new interview suggests she may not be cleared to compete.

Sareee is scheduled to face Skye Blue in the final match of the first round on this week’s “AEW Dynamite.” F4W translated an interview with Sareee from Tokyo Sports in which she admits that “I’m not yet in a state where my neck is in perfect shape for my comeback in America.” Her tag team partner, Takumi Iroha, is accompanying her to the U.S. and Sareee revealed she has permission from AEW that if she can’t compete, Iroha will take her place in the tournament. “If anything happens to me, she’ll come in as a pinch hitter.”

Masahiro Chono, who was conducting the interview, said he doesn’t believe Sareee should compete.

“I don’t recommend you step into the ring,” he said. “There’s still more than ten years left to do after this. If things go wrong, you might end up missing a long game or suffering a serious injury…don’t rush, right?”

As of Tuesday, Sareee is still being advertised to face Skye Blue on “Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster”.
